Is "Sloppy Steve" Bannon Now Trump's Biggest Problem? Sunday, January 21, 2018 Former White House strategist Steve Bannon speaks before Senate candidate Roy Moore at a "Drain the Swamp" campaign rally at Jordan's Activity Barn in Midland City, Alabama, on Monday, December 11, 2017. (Photo: Jabin Botsford / The Washington Post via Getty Images) Ready to challenge injustice and spark real change? So are we. Support Truthout's mission today by making a tax-deductible donation. Around the first of the year, the New York Post's Page Six published a blind item about the Russia investigation grand jury in Washington in which an alleged witness told the paper: The grand jury room looks like a Bernie Sanders rally. Maybe they found these jurors in central casting, or at a Black Lives Matter rally in Berkeley. The source went on to note that 11 of the 20 jurors are African-American and that "there was only one white male in the room, and he was a prosecutor." This was briefly taken up by the right-wing media, which charged that this proved the whole process was rigged against Donald Trump, apparently on the assumption that black people could not possibly judge him fairly. That was strangely reminiscent of candidate Trump's insistence during the campaign that the judge in the Trump University case could not be fair because of his Mexican heritage. Indeed, that wasn't the only echo of Trump's own words. As Think Progress pointed out at the time: "whoever leaked this tidbit to the New York Post sounds an awful lot like Donald Trump."

No response from widely respected Trump mideast peace specialist and anti-money laundering, anti-nepotism champion Jared Kushner yet: After disturbing tour of Hebron, Roger Cohen takes a step away from Zionism US Politics Philip Weiss on January 21, 2018 Yesterday in the New York Times, Roger Cohen published a column from Hebron titled “Holy City of Sterile Streets” that lots of people are talking about, and which I see as distancing the columnist from Zionism: 1, It states bluntly that the Israeli goal of sterilizing Hebron streets by emptying them of Palestinians is reminiscent of anti-semitic rhetoric and actions; 2, It says the occupation has never ended and it is being done in the name of the Jews and is getting worse every time he sees it; 3, It urges people to put the disputed claims of the past behind them and look to the future. The last message is a memo to Cohen himself. He has repeatedly cited the Jewish history of persecution to justify the existence of a “Jewish state” he chooses not to live in but to defend. That justification gets a lot slimmer in this piece. The Jewish history of persecution turns out to produce Jewish monsters. And Cohen surely recognizes that it is cruel to revisit such a place and only see the conditions get worse, and mouth liberal Zionist pieties as an answer. Some excerpts. First, the endless occupation and the anti-Semitism echo:The occupation of the West Bank is a half-century old. That’s a long time. Jews did not go to the Holy Land to deploy for another people the biological metaphors of classic racism that accompanied their persecution over centuries. But the exercise of overwhelming power is corrupting, to the point that “sterile” streets, presumably freed of disease-ridden natives, enter the lexicon.

If the claims being made about this memo are factual, that could undermine the very basis for Mueller investigation ? IF that turned out to be the case, then all the secondary gates/scandals linked to/stemmed from original "Russia gate" (such as Israel-Flynn gate, Bannon claimed Kushner money laundering gate, latest Peggy Peterson-Michael Cohen gate etc) would also become moot? This would be huge news if confirmed.

Well, thanks to a new initiative by CVS Pharmacy, we could be just one step closer. This week, the pharmaceutical chain announced the launch of a landmark commitment to halt post-production photo alteration on beauty products. This decision comes at a time when body-positive activists have increasingly drawn attention to how the use of Photoshop digitally alters models to make them look thinner and blemish- and wrinkle-free, or to change eye or skin color.

Deutsche Bank Willing To Report Jared Kushner’s ‘Suspicious Transactions’ To Robert Mueller: Report A German bank reportedly has evidence of “suspicious transactions” related to Jared Kushner’s family accounts and is willing to hand the information over to Russia probe special counsel Robert Mueller. The board chairman of the banking giant Deutsche Bank, Paul Achleitner, called for an internal investigation and found troubling results, German business magazine Manager Magazin reported in its print edition released on Friday. Deutsche Bank—a major lender to President Donald Trump and his son-in-law and senior White House advisor Kushner, according to Mother Jones—provided the results to the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority, which is Germany’s bank regulatory agency and referred to as BaFin. http://www.newsweek.com/deutsche-bank-willing-report-jared-kushners-suspicious-transactions-robert-786011 Un-related

To be devil's advocate, it is possible that his largest donor and respected casino owner Sheldon Adelson pressured him to take Israeli side. Trump is bold and relatively dirt-free POTUS , despite conspiracy theories earlier highly unlikely that he was intimidated or blackmailed into following very pro-Israel/anti-Palestinian policies by Israeli lobbies supporters like Andrew Adler or Kushners. Although allegedly Kushner clan had been accused of blackmail in the past but in this case it seems very unlikely to use such a tactic against someone who is not only a powerful political figure but is tied by sensitive inlaws relation.

Is this real? In the past some fake tweets had been going around too. Dems obviously want Trump regime to look bad and had decided that shutdown would hurt GOP even though it is risky for Dems too in reality. There are signs of cracks in Dems coalition too, some Trump art of the deal negotiations tactics could potentially show some gains for GOP base. OTOH it seems since departure of conservative base loved Steve Bannon, Trump is being pressured into talking shifting positions and as a result Dems and even some on the Right apparently have started to turn on Trump. Might be just coincidence, ever since Trump accepted zionist lobbies pressure and moved US embassy in Israel and allowed Javanka wing of GOP/controversial anti-money laundering champion Jared Kushner to take bigger role in policies, some troubling developments have surfaced. Trump is under constant pressure and distractions from Mueller probe to growing "Peggy Peterson" scandal in media. Trump needs some sincere non-Javanka type conservatives around him to steer things straight. Respected Senate leader Mitch McConnel reportedly had said that "Trump will sign any bill we put before him".

"Anti-semitic" Christian Zionism is probably just as big a factor but there is a powerful Israel lobby causing US tax payers funding to finance unjust policies, oppression, occupation, racism etc by a timy militarized foreign country and Americans have been on the receiving end of facing the blowback from this policy. Israel is not just another foreign country with policing brutality, it has a special place in some US tax payers hearts and in many taxpayers pockets. If you disagree still, what do you think caused WTC1/2/7 fall, Iraqi freedm war bloodbath that led to millions of Americans getting killed/maimed/going homeless, historic elections of Barack Hussein Obama, Trump? This is not a usual situation from standpoint of Americans. Israel courts and laws are bit special from racism standpoint. For example, an Arab Christian could not go to prison in US for lying about his race on a romantic date:

Trump's love for word "great" could end up causing great problems for his presidency. According to a report, incredible access to the White House insiders for the author of controversial book "Fire and Fury" may have been made possible by a phrase in author's pitch “The Great Transition". Bannon's Mueller Meeting Looms Large for Trump Five months after his White House exit, Steve Bannon remains at the center of the fire and fury surrounding Donald Trump. Kathleen Hunter January 17, 2018 “Fire and Fury,” which quotes Bannon speaking disparagingly about Trump and his family, prompted the president to publicly and dramatically sever his relationship with the former aide. Jennifer Jacobs takes a closer look at how Wolff gained so much White House access.

CUFI Leader John Hagee confirms Christian Zionism is anti-Semitic

Evangelical pastor John Hagee, the leader of Christians United for Israel (CUFI), the US’ largest pro-Israel organization and the most powerful group in the Christian Zionist movement, has adamantly insisted that Christian Zionism is anti-Semitic.
