He first talked about wanting an assault weapons ban in his 2000 book "The America You Deserve" and 8 years later he was campaigning for Hillary Clinton! You all forget that Bill and Hillary asked Trump to run as a Republican. The man is an empty suit that can be filled with whatever someone else needs at the moment as long as the sufficiently stroke his ego. Don't get me wrong. That can be advantageous at times. I think that's what Anti Federalist sees in Trump. Trump's no patriot, but at times he can do some good because, unlike the Biden's and Clinton's of the world, he's not actively trying to undermine America as much as he possibly can. In a world as screwed up as this sometimes that works out for good. 4D chess my ass. More like Mr. Magoo.

I gotta wonder how many people they talked to that didn't make the cut for their clip. I think most people recognize we are a constitutional republic with (supposedly) democratic representation. But in our republic, the power of the majority is supposed to be limited, whereas in a true democracy, there are not limits and minority rights only exist at the pleasure of the majority. Of course, if anyone says that to this slimy corporate propagandist, their clip will get deleted before the camera man makes it back to the van.

That is such a lame excuse. Pathetic, really. There is no such thing as "veto-proof". Presidents can veto anything they don't like. It doesn't matter what the margin was on the initial vote, the president can still veto it. Sure, there could be a subsequent vote to over-ride the veto, but that's a whole other matter. A REAL President would veto and test if the margins really held up. Force them to over-ride his veto! But no, we get pathetic little cry babies pretending they did the best they could.

This is just Trump throwing out different kinds of proposals to see what might be popular. Just like the tips thing or the tariff thing. Trump has shown ZERO desire to cut spending and SPENDING IS THE REAL TAX! As for the consumption tax, in principle, it's somewhat better than an income tax as a way to fund this behemoth, but it still robs the productive sectors. And those whose income has been taxed for their entire lives and are now living off of savings would be taxed a second time. And that demo votes and donates to politicians.

A couple of things to note. 247 in 6 months sounds like a lot until you realize that England's murder rate is about 10 per million. The other odd thing is at if you free the frame at 1:35 it looks like they're counting a small multitool as a "zombie knife." I own a khukri which I use for camping and clearing brush. But you can just as easily kill someone with a kitchen knife.

He also championed red flag laws and pushed assault weapons bans before ever running for president and again after being president.

I guess we need to define tips. In my opinion if a waiter or person serving coffee behind a counter is making $20 and hour minimum wage, they don't need a tip. I argue to pay the minimum wage and tipping should not be expected. Totally optional. Should be illegal for restaurants to mandate and add gratuity to the bill. Was at the casino couple weeks ago playing poker. The lady comes over taking drink orders. Doesn't matter what people get, coffee, water, alcohol.. people giving a dollar chip. That lady is knocking down some bank. If it is your job and that is how you earn your living then there should not be a distinction between that and the person that punches a clock and runs a machine.

Yeah.....I already know this by reading MSM reports that Israel had the Hamas plans for over a year. Egyptian intelligence warned Israel that a Hamas attack was immient right before Oct 7. U.S. intelligence warned Israel that a Hamas attack was imminent right before Oct. 7. ISRAELI intelligence warned Israel that a Hamas attack was imminent right before Oct 7th. Yet, for no explainable reason, Netanyahu movved the IDF north AWAY from Hamas to supposedly face off against Hezbollah. Oh, and the former head of the Iraeli intelligence agency Shin Bet said that Netanyahu propped up Hamas as a counterbalance to the Palestinain Authority as a was to thwart a Palestinian state.

You're not interested in trading your bill of rights? Which rights are still left? The 3rd amendment against quartering soldiers? I'm still not voting for Trump. But, at least on the campaign trail, adopting Ron Paul proposals as Anti Federalist has pointed out is a good thing. Do I think Trump will actually follow through? Nope. But the fact that these ideas are being mainstreamed is a positive. And unlike some people on this forum I give Obama credit for the few things he got right. (The Iran nuclear deal. Letting schools opt out of No Child Left Behind. Curbing funding for gain of function research in 2014. Letting guns be carried on Amtrack trains and in National Parks). A broken clock is right twice a day, but it's still not worth buying.

Because it's a more certain principle to enslave the next generations to our debts. SPENDING IS THE REAL TAX The rest are just methods to pretend like our government can pay it back eventually. Tariffs and excise taxes can be avoided... The regressive inflation tax has limits and can spiral out of control... But the labor of the next generations??! That's as good as gold!

Getting rid of the income tax is a net positive even if it means higher tariffs. Individuals should not be required to report to the government how much they make every year. This is a much bigger problem for individual liberty now with more and more people moving into the "gig" economy where their wages are reported to the government but their taxes are not withheld. Lots of people are making barely enough to survive and simultaneously running up huge tax bills that they may never be able to pay. That's also why Biden is now going after people's CashApp and PayPal receipts.

I guess one could say that the tax credit is worthless for any person that doesn't have the taxable income. In order to get the $7500 Federal Tax Credit you must have $7500 of tax liability in the year you take delivery. You cannot carry forward any unused credit. So from that perspective, I guess if you don't pay taxes or that much tax, you wouldn't benefit from the tax break. However if you don't pay tax or that much tax, you are not paying for the other guys EV either. The person that is getting the tax break is the person that has tax liability. No taxes due, no tax credit for EV.

You're looking at the "half empty" part of the glass. Here's the "half full" part. George Kent, a deputy assistant secretary of state, testified Tuesday that he worried that Hunter Biden’s position at the firm Burisma Holdings would complicate efforts by U.S. diplomats to convey to Ukrainian officials the importance of avoiding conflicts of interest, said the people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of confidentiality rules surrounding the deposition. Kent said he had concerns that Ukrainian officials would view Hunter Biden as a conduit for currying influence with his father, said the people. But when Kent raised the issue with Biden’s office, he was told the then-vice president didn’t have the “bandwidth” to deal with the issue involving his son as his other son, Beau, was battling cancer, said the people familiar with his testimony. .. The testimony by Kent offers a reminder that as Democrats probe President Trump’s alleged actions in pressuring Ukraine to dig up compromising information on Biden, the impeachment inquiry also threatens to keep alive questions about the former vice president’s handling of his son’s foreign work at a precarious moment for his 2020 presidential campaign. Kent, who also testified about how Trump’s associates raised unfounded allegations about the former ambassador to Ukraine, is the first known example of a career diplomat who raised concerns internally in the Obama administration about Hunter Biden’s board position. The Washington Post has previously reported that there had been discussions among Biden’s advisers about whether his son’s Ukraine work would be perceived as a conflict of interest, and that one former adviser had been concerned enough to mention it to Biden, though the conversation was brief.

I wish things were a lot more local too. I'm really not looking for a country of 300 million at all. I think that's too big. Those who didn't want to live by Christian law could live somewhere else and choose God's judgment over his blessings.

  8. Sorry, but you have failed. That verse does not contain the words "Grace is irresistible." You can interpret it that way, but that's not what the verse says. You had to admit there was "relational language" in the Bible. Yet you have stuck to your guns that there isn't a verse that says "Have a relationship with Jesus." Likewise there is no verse that says "Grace is irresistible." If you were honest you would simply admit that. But you aren't honest.
