RFK is obviously better on the jab, but Trump is more likely to let me leave the country with my stuff.

The monkey wrench argument is a whole other debate. I was just addressing those that think RFK Jr's platform are on whole "good" or at least better than what we have now. All I'm saying is his platform overall is horrible. If we actually implemented his policies we'd be a third world country in a few years. I don't think anyone can argue that. I will agree that his policies will help speed up the crash, so maybe that's a plus. You can also make the argument that Trump would be better to bring about a crash via monkey wrench. And I think Trump would be more likely to do the right thing after the crash. RFK Jr is more likely to view government as the solution than Trump in my opinion.

I don't know who Spike Cohen is but he nailed it. Also RFK Jr supports raising the minimum wage to $15. I cringe when I see libertarians supporting RFK Jr. What good is non-interventionism if you have no property rights? North Korea, Venezuela and Cuba are non-interventionist but I wouldn't want to live there.

I'm slightly more optimistic. There's a saying that change only happens when the pain of standing still is more than the pain of the change. When this debt bubble finally bursts there's going to be a lot of pain so there's a chance we might finally do the right thing and drastically cut government spending. On the other hand we could go full totalitarianism. Either way big changes are coming. I'm just amazed we've kept the bubble going this long. I think the main reason is the dollar is so well established that it's hard to kill it even though we eventually will.

And I've been making the argument for years that the size of the crash is proportional to the size of the stimulus. Since 2008 we've borrowed 25 trillion, printed 7 trillion and kept rates way below historical norms. So the size of the stimulus dwarfs anything in history. It's amazing we've managed to keep the bubble going this long.

And the terms to enter the US would be the same as the current US residents are living under so you'd still be forced to get vaccinated. So your secession allowance has done nothing except given yourself an excuse for government tyranny.

What happens when I leave my property and enter the US? What rules am I subject to? Would I have to get vaccinated?

You're missing the point. We don't have to compete with China. We can just take advantage of the cheap stuff they're selling us. We don't need to sell anything back to them. The idea that we need the government to ban stuff because we might become "reliant" on it is wrong. Using that logic you'd ban the steel coming out of the ground. What about a company that sells a product cheaper and better than anyone else? Do we need to break them up because we'll become "reliant" on them. Are you in favor of antitrust laws? There's always risk in a free society. It should be up to individuals to decide it they want to take the risk, not a government central planner. Ultimately I'm offended that anyone would use government force to prevent me from trading with someone else. Maybe the economic argument is hard to understand but the moral one is easy.

You can use that excuse to implement any sort of totalitarian rule. Forced vaccinations are ok because you can secede if you don't like them. 100% tax rate is fine, because you can secede.

Yeah, maybe I should've said I won't complain "as much" if Trump or RFKJr get elected. I'll still complain when they start doing stupid crap.

True. The economy is already wrecked from an accumulation of debt. I agree that anyone who the deep state doesn't like is a good thing. One thing about RFKJr that might be better than Trump. They'll both increase stress on the deep state but as the economy continues its crash at least with RFKJr it might get blamed on socialism. With Trump it'll get blamed on capitalism even though he's a socialist. I was saying this before the 2020 election. At least Biden got blamed for the spike in inflation. Of course the Trumpsters don't realize that Trump created half the inflation already on the books, it just hasn't shown up in prices. I can't wait to hear the Trumpsters excuse for the double digit plus price inflation that is almost certain to hit us. Anyway my initial point is that if RFKJr was able to implement his policies he'd be a horrible president for liberty.

You have too high an opinion of the deep state if you think they can stop the economy from being wrecked. We've got too much debt to get out unscathed. Ron Paul couldn't get us out. We are either going to get hyperinflation or depression. The only way to stop hyperinflation is to drastically cut government spending and then we'd go into a depression but at least we'd eventually recover. Nobody has the guts to cut spending. That being said I won't complain if Trump or RFKJr gets elected. They both suck but at least they're outsiders.

I'm pretty sure RFKJr would continue to wreck our economy. He put out a video a couple months ago on how to fix housing by offering ultra low interest government loans. He reminds me of Dennis Kucinich. They're both pretty good on foreign policy but they're hard core socialists. North Korea hasn't attacked anyone but I wouldn't want to live there.
