When I was a child I was glued to our TV set for the Olympics from the opening ceremonies to the closing. I even watched sports I didn't give a crap about like equestrian. Winter or summer it didn't matter. Bob Costas and Bryant Gumble were my gudes to this world of wonder. Now...? I might watch some highlights on YouTube.

If you are just dead set on a governor then at least go with one that isn't so dead set against the first amendment. Hard no on Desantis. I'd take Kristi Noem with her puppy killing self first. At least she's decent to look at.

Hmmm....interesting. From the story there are several laws the protestors could be prosecuted under without having a specific flag burning law: Protesters took down an American flag and replaced it with a Palestinian flag and at one point burned the U.S. flag before someone ran into the crowd and snatched it away. Theft of federal property, disorderly conduct, and violation of the federal riot statute. And that would be true if these were right wing protests who stole a Palestinian flag and set it on fire in the middle of the street. But if somone buys a flag with his own money and sets it on fire on his own property, as long as he isn't violating and burning ordinance, that should be legal.

"Everyone ends up in the same place" Does that mean everyone puts in the same effort, too???? Because we all know how that thinking turns out - if you think you're going to end up in the same place anyway, why bother trying???

Exactly! We can't let them bury this! This is their memory hole tactic where they take anything inconvenient for the narrative and hide it and replace it with some new nonsense like Kamala Harris is the second coming. This may be the final death knell of the corporate press. I think the majority of the public are now starting to see how they're being manipulated. Thank God Musk bought Twitter!

Oh, yes. He's definitely down with the project. And in a better position to pull it off, because the fedgov.com has fought hard in the courts to make illegals (along with the borders) a federal issue. So he'll seem to be making a logical case for federal cops nationwide on the pretext that they'll automatically expel them. Whether they will or not is another question. But... ... federal cops are a bad idea. Let the feds take over everything and you'll have to convince eighty million voters that the brown water coming out of your tap is more important than abortions and closed churches and various wars combined. If you can't, enjoy distilling your tap water. They are both the Uniparty and they're both equally awful on this. Next issue?

I 100% agree with you about the video! And I like what they were doing with the website. Fauci absolutely needs to be prosecuted. The most damning evidence against Fauci is that in 2012 he said that if a pandemic resulted from GOF research it was still "worth it." That quote alone plus the fact that he funded GOF should be enough for a crimes against humanity conviction. Watch this to understand Dr. Fauci.

This wasn't a cut. It was a tear. I've never had a chunk of skin removed from my body and it didn't start bleeding immediately. And if it's this tiny "paper cut" like injury, why the big ass bandage?

She doesn't want to defund federal police. She just wants to run every single local department out of Washington. Or rather, her bosses have been working at it for years. When did your local police switch to black uniforms? That was a federal funds carrot-and-stick incentive in preparation for the day.

DeSantis is a moron. Anybody who thinks children shouldn't learn about Ruby Bridges is not fit to be president. And while he didn't personally ban the film, he pushed for laws which opened the door for it and then when that became and issue he didn't stand up and say "That's obviously not what the law is for." But someone could say "DeSantis has found his place as governor of Florida so let him stay there."

Are you kidding? I could take a properly sighted-in AR with an EOTECH gunsight and drill any human being you care to name, center of mass, without effort at 150 yards. Anyone who knows which end of the gun the bullets come out could do it. It's a non-challenge shot. I bust rats in my barn from 60 yards with my ancient, crap-trigger Stevens Model 34 .22 all day long, which is a shootin' sumbitch. However, your question stands reasonable. If he wasn't alone, why was Trump allowed to live? A reasonably well trained sniper would have had Trump dead without effort, and given the way in which the SS reponded in the heat of the moment, that sniper would have readily shot his way through the weak cover given The Donald. Indeed, AP rounds would likely have taken care of business, judging by the ways in which the security detail moved, indicating to me that they wore no trauma plates. A good AP round will waltz through a kevlar vest as if it was not even there. Let us be clear that Crooks may not have been helped positively, but only passively by allowing him access. This would be the safest way to proceed if we assume not getting caught with your hands in the proverbial cookie jar was high on your list of aspirations. Taunt, tease, and tempt. Once you have him on the hook, you lend him free access and let the stooge do the rest. Let's face it, the shot was so easy, it may have been assumed that he couldn't miss. Add to that the additional factor that killing Trump may not have been a requirement. Savage wounding may have been seen as sufficient to scotch his bid for reelection, whether by scaring him off or rendering him into such a state of health that. like Biden, he would not have been able to go on.

My personal story (pt2)

by CaptUSA on 02-24-2016 at 09:57 AM
Among my many interests was electricity and I decided that I wanted to change how the industry operates. Understanding the free market as I did, I was pissed that the coolest discovery in the history of mankind was being regulated to death by the government. I wanted to change that.

I found a job as a part-time temporary meter reader. My girlfriend went ballistic that I was quitting a salaried job for a part-time temp job, but I had complete confidence in what I was doing. Meter

My personal story (pt 1)

by CaptUSA on 02-24-2016 at 09:55 AM
I’ve never used this blog feature before, but since people have wondered (and asked) about my personal story, I figured it was best to do it in here rather than the forums.

It may come across as anecdotal, but I assure you that this same type free market story is working itself out all over the country and the globe. Even in the face or increasing government interference.

I was born in Western PA the third of four boys. When I was still a baby, the second child died
