Coinbase experienced a glitch yesterday while BTC was surging from 60k to 64k and Coinbase was showing folks that they had zero BTC in their accounts. Coinbase customers could not sell or transfer any BTC they held in their accounts. It was a scary situation for some folks who were posting on X/Twitter that they had millions of dollars worth of BTC in their Coinbase accounts. Good grief! If you own millions of dollars (or even much less than that, but a significant amount) of crypto, be smart and get yourself a good self custody solution like Trezor or Ledger.
