I don't mind when people have different beliefs, but when they are completely unwilling or incapable of using logic to make rational conclusions, and then resort to ad hominems against the smarter person, it really irks me. haha!! one of the liberal progressives i have the occasional online "debate" with always "wins" his side with "i'm a lawyer, you are not. you cannot possibly understand what i do because you do not have a law degree." he doesn't say it exactly like that, but he does use "i'm a lawyer" in every single argument when i'm involved.

in my mind, all i can think when i read his appeal to self is "daaaaaaa douche daaaaaa douche".

I'm beginning to think it's willful blindness. I've tried debating some people I know who have VERY strong political views and intensely dislike RP. They don't want to listen. I doubt they even click on the videos or articles I've given them to look at, they are just extremely stubborn and convinced they are right and everyone else is wrong.

Unfortunately, the masses are media-led. If I'm being attacked in a public forum while trying make a reasonable argument, I just keep going with rational, factual points and conclusions until I end up getting the last word, as they eventually give up. The reason I do this is because usually there are a lot more people reading the posts that don't let on. And sometimes you influence even when you don't know it.

I had a disagreement with an attorney that works at my office a while back. The disagreement? He didn't know that there was an Amendment to the Constitution which changed how Senators were elected. I mean, seriously, wtf?

You have a huge group of the population that has been indoctrinated into the concept of socialism that is going to provide them with all of the necessities... well until they run out of other peoples money.



Then you have a group that has given others the ability to print up what ever amount of money they want in order to get their way. Not only do they have the ability to print it up they also have the ability to use your money to sell you on what they want and then stiff you with the bill for what ever it took!





P.S. I met the lady above at a TEA Party. She was from one of the Soviet block countries I believe. She could see where we seemed to be headed and felt it important enough to try and warn us by making up this sign.

I think she is right. My mom told me that the thing that was bad about communism was that if everyone got the same thing back for their labor then, "why work hard?" Even though we have a stealth socialism it has brought us a stealth, "Why work hard?"

They have already spent all they can squeeze out of our occupations and our income that most can no longer afford to work or hire labor. They've managed that before we even show up to work! Then inflation from their fake money presses sucks on everyone savings like a vampire in the night.

Your mom is right. That's exactly what happened - people completely lost motivation to work and work ethics was completely destroyed. They would just show up at the workplace (if it couldn't be avoided completely) and spend days avoiding work as much as possible. Why would you work if you're paid the same anyway?
