Funny with the news about the Last U.S. combat brigade pulling out of Iraq today and no mention of the name change of the continuing operation.

The new name is curious as to its reference to the occult sun god.

Obama's symbol is that of the rising sun.

It's actually a reference to the film version of Gone With the Wind.


It could even be a shout out to Japan, whose proper name, Nihon, or Nippon means "sun origin", that is, "land of the rising sun" isn't Japan's nickname, it's its actual name.

Or 100 million other things.

But just maybe it's a reference to the war in Iraq. But that's just one possibility.
