Kassam noted that the White House is making a push for the House bill on Paul’s home turf in Kentucky and asked if the situation had devolved into “all-out war” between Senator Paul and the executive branch.

“Actually, I think the president is very open to negotiation,” Paul replied. “I talked to him again last night by phone. I’ve talked to him twice a week, which is quite a bit for anybody to talk to the president that’s not in the administration.”

“I talked to him again last night. He said he’s open to negotiation, but I reiterated to him that Paul Ryan went on TV for 45 minutes yesterday with a press conference, and he said, ‘The response to this, the choices are binary.’ Well, binary means there are two choices: either we take it or leave it. Either we take Obamacare Lite or we get nothing. That isn’t sitting well with conservatives, and I promise you, the more we hear Paul Ryan say, ‘Take it or leave it,’ the less we’re willing to take it,” he said.

Congressman Gene Green says the federal government is now using private debt collectors to go after those who owe student loans.

Green says as a result, those attorneys and debt collectors are getting judgements in federal court and asking judges to use the US Marshals Service to arrest those who have failed to pay their federal student loans.

In the new CNN poll, 53 percent of Republican voters feel their views are not represented in Washington. This is nearly double the sentiment among Democrats and far higher than that of overall voters.

In an effort to help pay for transportation projects across America, GOP Rep. Tom Rice has introduced new legislation which will increase the federal gas tax by 10 cents-per-gallon, The Hill is reporting.

"Our measure moves money from the general fund into the Highway Trust Fund. It would raise the gas tax by about 10 cents-per-gallon, which would cost the average driver about $130 per year," the South Carolina lawmaker said.

He added that move "would be offset by a $133 income tax credit, so it's revenue-neutral," according to The Hill.

The speech, which lasted just about 20 minutes, was scheduled previously to go for 30 minutes and include 10 minutes of Q&A. Rubio, after finishing his remarks, ducked off the back corner of the stage without taking questions from the audience—which all week leading up to this moment has been critical of him. What’s more, Rubio—through his campaign spokesman Alex Conant—has repeatedly refused Breitbart News Network interview requests here at the event.

Even if the Times' reporting is inaccurate, however, Walker may have delivered different messages on immigration to different groups. Moore maintains that he does not know if Walker is telling him one thing while publicly espousing something different.
