    According to the Giffords Law Center, although most states continue to require a permit in order to carry a concealed weapon, many states now place few or no restrictions on open carry.
    2O states have NO restriction or permit requirement to carry a CONCEALED firearm.

    Almost every other state has a "Shall Issue" permit system in place.

    The only states left that have restrictive issue or no issue are CA - IL - MA - NJ - CT - HI -RI
