Ron Paul: The Strongest Man in the World? - thestreet.com

Didn't see this posted elsewhere, this is a really great article.

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Ron Paul is an enemy of the people. That is, in a literary sense. In 1882, Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen penned a tragicomedy that, in many ways, mirrors Dr. Ron Paul's political career.

"'An Enemy of the People' addresses the irrational tendencies of the masses, and the hypocritical and corrupt nature of the political system that they support. It is the story of one brave man's struggle to do the right thing and speak the truth in the face of extreme social intolerance,"
Goes on to give some very strong highlights of Dr. Paul's career and reasons why conservatives and independents should vote for him.
“…let us teach them that all who draw breath are of equal worth, and that those who seek to press heel upon the throat of liberty, will fall to the cry of FREEDOM!!!” – Spartacus, War of the Damned

    excellent article.

one idiot anti-Paul keeps posting in the comment section, and he's got some doozies:

"But, I am a fan of PREVENTIVE WAR! ...
We need a WARRIOR in the Oval Office...
If we took on more countries that have gone rogue, the jobs will grow exponentially, and ensure we build leaders for future politicians, rather then ostriches!"

    So disgusting.

    Most comments are positive, though.
"Ron Paul, not going anywhere. Ideologically pure and tough as nails!"

ABO + NOBP = Ron Paul
    Romney - NOBP = Obama

I guarantee someone makes a movie based on Ron within 10 years.

Hah, I remember thinking exactly this a while back.

Cato the Younger might be another good parallel.

If things don't turn soon and go our way by Super Tuesday, I'm all in favor of an Independent ticket run. What most don't understand is that about 33% of Americans are registered as such. That is a big piece of the pie. Plus Ron would be able to easily distinguish himself from Obama and Obamalite Romney.
If Rand does not win the Republican nomination, he should buck the controlled two party system and run as an Independent for President in 2016 and give Americans a real option to vote for.

We are all born libertarians then something goes really wrong. Despite this truth, most people are still libertarians yet not know it.

the strongest man in the world is the man who stands most alone.
    Amazing quote!
“It is hard to free fools from the chains they revere.” -Voltaire

"Insanity in individuals is something rare - but in groups, parties, nations and epochs, it is the rule." -Frederick Nietzsche

"The Republican form of government is the highest form of government: but because of this it requires the highest type of human nature, a type nowhere at present existing." -Herbert Spencer

    Great tidbit from the article:

In 2004, Dr. Keith Poole -- a political science professor at the University of Georgia -- ranked 3,320 politicians (who have held office anytime between 1937-2002) from most liberal to most conservative. Ronald Reagan ranked as 77th most conservative, Barry Goldwater, 50th.

    Ron Paul ranked first.
Rand Paul is in the top 1% of US Senators.
