And you r local police department will certainly want some of this action. Free to police us by drone AI. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/technology/pentagon-considers-using-ai-controlled-drones-and-robots-in-combat/ar-BB1gACq2?ocid=msedgntp The future of warfare might involve advanced artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms that would have the ability and authority to assess situations and engage enemies without having a human in control of every robot or drone involved in the operation. The Pentagon is already studying combat scenarios where AI would be allowed to act on its own accord based on orders that a human issued. Wired has an example of such a drill that took place near Seattle last August. Several dozen military drones and tank-like robots were deployed with a simple mission. Find terrorists suspected of hiding among several buildings. The number of robots involved made it impossible for a human operator to keep an eye on all of them. As a result, they were given instructions to find and eliminate enemy combatants when necessary.

https://fox2now.com/news/st-louis-mayor-tishaura-jones-signs-bill-banning-discrimination-based-on-hair/ ST. LOUIS– In 2019, California became the first state in the country to pass The CROWN Act, which stands for Creating a Respectful and Open World for Natural hair. The measure made it illegal to discriminate against black employees or students on the basis of their hairstyles. Since then, other states including Washington, New York, Colorado and Virginia have passed similar pieces of legislation. On Friday, St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones signed the bill into law. “Hair discrimination is discrimination and so many black and brown people with natural or curly hair have faced discrimination in the workplace in other places or in school for a long time, ” she said. The new law prohibits “discrimination in employment and housing decisions including, without limitation hiring, advancement and compensation and discrimination in housing practices based upon an individual’s hairstyle, protective hair, or natural or cultural hair texture or style.”

The top commander for U.S. military operations in Africa said Chinese officials have been approaching countries stretching from Mauritania to south of Namibia in search of where to position the naval facility.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/top-democrats-urge-unity-behind-newsom-in-california-recall/ar-BB1gfr60?ocid=msedgntp SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — California Democrats sharpened their anti-recall messaging Saturday during the state party's annual convention, arguing removing Gov. Gavin Newsom from office early would roll back immigrant rights and criminal justice reforms, stall progress on the housing crisis and waste taxpayer money. Republican voters angry at Newsom's liberal policies on immigration, criminal justice reform and more launched the longshot recall effort last year. It gained steam during the pandemic, as people grew frustrated by Newsom's pandemic response. Still, recent polling shows Newsom with support from a majority of voters. Newsom and his allies paint the recall as a partisan effort in hopes of keeping Democrats and independent voters united behind him; Republicans make up just a quarter of the state's registered voters. Maintaining the support of activists will be key to keeping another Democrat out of the race.

https://www.coindesk.com/china-is-opting-out-of-us-run-financial-system China’s recent announcement to join the central bank digital currency (mCBDC) bridge project demonstrates its willingness to design a world without the U.S. dollar supporting it. While China eclipses the United States in the space race for digital currencies, could that be a Betamax-versus-VHS scenario of incompatible financial systems? The world may depend on the U.S. dollar presently, but the world may switch to another currency under China’s influence. If the U.S. government doesn’t lead private-public partnerships encouraging financial innovation, then China will leapfrog it and control the world’s financial infrastructure. https://forkast.news/central-banks-bis-cbdc-bridge-asia-middle-east/ Project Inthanon-LionRock — a wholesale CBDC initiative launched in September 2019 between the central banks of Thailand and Hong Kong — was completed in December 2019. That project saw the successful development of a THB-HKD cross-border payment corridor network prototype using distributed ledger technology, with 10 banks participating.

I'll stick to robots. Pretty soon we won't interact with people at all. https://yellrobot.com/hotel-robots/ As the travel industry booms and the price of labor rises, robots are becoming increasingly more common in the hospitality industry. They are performing every function imaginable from carrying bags, delivering your room service and even greeting guests. These robots aren’t just R2D2 like little bots, some of these are fully human androids and others are actually dinosaurs!
