Number of people starving because of billionaires worldwide - Zero. Number of people with higher standards of living because of Amazon and Wal-Mart - billions It turns out there is no money in not getting products to people. Jeff Bezos has likely helped more people by starting Amazon than all the charitable giving in world history.

That's is almost exactly what Kashkari said when he said regulators were the problem. He was the one person who made the case for Fed policy they included to make it seemed balanced. Everyone else blamed the Fed for everything. Wealth inequality, stock buybacks, climate change, and whatever the outrage of the day is. I don't what the right policy is for money but I automatically know when someone mentions stock buybacks, the person is a glue sniffer.

I watched it. Kashkari was the only person who who made a forceful case for Fed policies. Two former Fed officials make a tepid case. And about ten people blamed the Federal Reserve on every single thing. Some good points about risks and moral hazard were made but the whole thing was a borderline hit piece on the Federal Reserve.

Trump was raised an FDR Democrat. Had a picture in his home growing up. He was basically a Democrat of sorts his whole life. He has said in the past comments like the economy just works better under Democrats. Trump's view about Hitler and the economy was the standard view used by left wing economists for decades. I like how they always pick out the fringiest people with the most wild claims that NEVER EVER turn out true but yet accept them as very likely to happen. When this vaccine Holocaust doesn't happen it will be on to the next crackpot internet. It's never Johns Hopkins lead doctor. Harvard Medical School Professor. It always somebody who lost their license or some guy who is a chiropractor or somebody with a degree from a school in the Caribbean or the best is a combination of the three. I mean, why believe people at the top medical schools in the country when you can watch a 2020 Facebook video before the vaccines were developed from a bartender with a PHD who was fired from a research job for making up data?

What stuff did whitey take from Indians? Oceanfront teepees? I am sure atrocities were committed against Indians but they would be poor and this would be a banana republic just like every other Indian lives in the South and Central America and the Caribbean today. Whitey imported freedom and prosperity that didn't exist in world history. It is ridiculous to apply today's standards (which only exist because of Western values) to 300 years ago when people lived short brutal lives with no freedoms.

I have given the same response about six times about why that isn't the case. But I will try a seventh time but use an economist who has gotten everything right the last 11 years. Writing people a check is permanent. Swapping a Treasury for cash is viewed as temporary. https://www.themoneyillusion.com/qe-works-in-practice-because-qe-works-in-theory/

I think GME will probably drop back to the 50-60 bucks over time. Every bounce is getting sold. It is breaking a range to the downside so I got short. If it doesn't go down I will cover. Really nothing more to it. I really have no idea what these random numbers and Michael Burry and engineered crash or any of that means and I don't want to know.

GME and AMC getting a little heavy. Small short in both. If GME breaks the 50 day could be start of 70 dollar plus drop.

Why shouldn't it be a trillion dollar company? Amazon is a amazing company. Lower price and quick delivery. The company changed how everyone on the globe lives. 60%+ of households have an Amazon Prime membership. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/amazon-prime-members-59-percent-of-us-households-rbc-150743767.html

I make multiple trades on the short side in hard to borrow stocks every day. 250 trading days a year. Have done it for a decade. Have seen exactly one example of naked shorting. Gamestop. And I guess you could kind of say Overstock but not really. Naked shorting being a problem is a myth perpetuated by the dumbest people on the internet. I am not calling you dumb. I am calling people who trade actively and perpetuate this myth dumb so that someone like you thinks it actually exists. The people who whine about naked shorting are losers who are wasting their life. I have never seen even one successful trader complain about naked shorting. There is no naked shorting problem. I am a nobody with no connections and I can't remember the last time I couldn't get a locate on even the the hardest borrow stock. There are always shares available somewhere for a price. Presumably Goldman Sachs and Citadel have much greater access to locates than me. And I am not even sure market makers like Citadel have to find locates because they are market makers if the close out the position within a day.
