Also the Fed isn't just another buyer, they're a buyer who wants to overpay. And let's not forget all the other central banks buying us treasuries. Do you own any long term us treasuries? You simply can't use long term treasuries rates as a predictor of coming inflation. And if you want to use nominal gdp as a predictor I'd argue you need to use actual inflation (fed's balance sheet) not the CPI. Actual inflation increased by 100% over the last year. As I've said many times, if printing money did not cause a proportional increase in prices we could all stay home and let the govt send us checks. Which makes more sense? 1. Printing money causes a proportional increase in prices, but there can potentially be a long delay.

In nations without a Bill of Rights, they are. For most of my adult life, any opinion on this was of the most libertarian variety: no business of mine, what people do in their bedrooms is their business and so on. In the last few years that has changed dramatically, as it became clear what the weirdosexuals end goals were: 1 - Being a front on the war of Marxist revolution. 2 - An agent of population control.

That works for some things but not for necessities like food. I read a book by a guy who lived thru 3 hyperinflations, 2 in Argentina and 1 in Chile. He said assets like home prices collapsed while food skyrocketed. People had to sell assets to buy food. If high prices cured high prices there would never be high inflation.

Oil Hits 3 Year High As BofA Now Sees Spike To $100 https://www.zerohedge.com/commodities/oil-about-benjamin-oil-hits-3-year-high-bofa-now-sees-spike-100 by Tyler Durden Monday, Jun 21, 2021 - 01:12 PM If last week the broader market was hammered with one big question mark over the viability of the reflation trade, someone forgot to tell oil with Brent today surging just shy of $75/bbl, the highest level since 2018 facilitated by the ongoing failure of the Iran nuclear talks to reach a deal (which is widely expected to boost global oil output), although bullish sentiment was also lifted by a series of sellside analyst calls for oil to rise anywhere from $80 to as high as $100 or more. The first bullish call came from Citigroup, which said that Brent will touch $85/bbl before Q4 2021, with the bank's oil analyst and one-time OPEC advisor, Ed Morse, writing that "we now see Brent oil prices averaging in the high $70s for the rest of the year, with a high probability of touching $85 before subsiding with markets rebalancing." As a result, the bank raised its 2021 Brent price forecast by $4 to $72/bbl and its 2022 estimate by $8 to $67, while the London benchmark is seen averaging $77 in 3Q and $78 in 4Q this year, higher by $4 and $9 versus its previous forecast, respectively.

https://www.takimag.com/article/the-week-that-perished-144/ The Week’s Most Preening, Queening, and Juneteening Headlines INSERT BLACK PERSON HERE An odd theme running through last week’s news involved retroactively inserting black people where they’d not previously been. It’s as if the world has become Return of the Jedi, with white people as the old Darth Vader “Force ghost” and blacks as the Hayden Christensen replacement. NPR reported on a major controversy surrounding beloved actor Tom Hanks. It turns out, black activists are outraged over the fact that every film in which Tom Hanks has starred has starred a white man. These rocket scientists are furious because movies starring an actor who is white starred a white actor. NPR “media critic” Eric Deggans, a black fellow who’s won many awards for “diversity” but not a single one for media criticism, has no time to explain how a Tom Hanks-starring movie can not star a white guy. “I love Tom Hanks as a performer, Hollywood citizen and all-around stand-up guy,” Deggans concedes, but his work is “so often focused on the achievements of virtuous white, male Americans.” Deggans argues that Hanks’ historically based films like Saving Private Ryan and Apollo 13 should have starred blacks instead…thus making them not only not Tom Hanks films, but not historically based, either. “I’m sure there are plenty of Hanks fans out there of every stripe who will say I am expecting too much,” Deggans admits. Actually, there are plenty of people of all stripes who will say that Eric Deggans is a certifiable lunatic. Still, lunatics thrive in Hollywood, so one mustn’t dismiss Deggans’ demands just because they’re insane. While Hanks will most likely not consent to having his past films digitally altered to insert CGI Chadwick Boseman into his roles, he’s probably open to black-centric reboots of his classics, including “Saving Private Ryan Coogler,” “Apollo Creed 13,” “The Man Who Got Shot for His One Red Shoe,” “Forrest Whitaker Gump,” “Ike Turner and Hooch,” and “Sleepless in Seattle Because Antifa Won’t Stop Rioting.”

No they will not. And that is why I am posting these stories: to directly confront the lie that "most mass shooters are angry white men with assault rifles." The majority of mass shootings, using the system's own definition of "mass shooting", are carried out by colored men with handguns.

Yeah...I was wondering that. El Salvador could go the way Iraq did after Saddam tried to get off the petro-dollar was well as Libya after Ghaddafi tried to do the same. The silver lining for El Salvador is, considering they are net importers, they don't seem to have anything the U.S. wants. If Venezuela were to do this on the other hand... LOL. Bitcoin has a lot more price stability than some Latin American currencies. And what does the "lack of sophistication" of the El Salvadoran people have to do with the current leadership? The current president was elected in 2019. You can hardly expect him to make that much of a different in the education level of an entire country in 2 years. However there has been a dramatic drop in crime in El Salvador to the point where they can boast about having better crime rates than some U.S. cities.

I just have one question. Do you still agree with this quote? "The only way I see Trump as likely to affect any real change would be through martial law, and that has zero chances of success without strong buy-in by the JCS at the very minimum." Because....I don't. I see authoritarianism as the problem. I could care less what some group of people who don't want government authority over them wishes to do in their own voluntary community. If they want to have a free market outside of government control great! If they want to have a communist economy outside of government control, meaning a community where the means of production are shared equally among all members of the community, more power to them. As long as I don't have to participate I don't care. If the right wing wants to ban gay marriage in their own private community I don't care. If the left wing autonomous community wants everybody to be polyamorous in their community, I don't care. All I care is that these voluntary communities remain voluntary. No government force whatsoever. Of course, that means if you walk off and leave your property, and somebody comes in a squats on it, don't come to me demanding my help in forcing the squaters out. Maybe I'll help you. Maybe I won't. But you can't tax me so that you have have your own "enforce my property rights" squad. If there is some "enforce my property rights" squad then don't call what you're doing "anarco-capitalism." If you think martial law is needed to "fix" things, don't call what you are doing "anarco-capitalism." I don't even think you can call that "minarcism" even. If we think in terms of "authoratarianism vs non-authoratarianism" then there is a possibility of consensus. But without that, this whole conversation is just posturing.

The reparations paid to Japanese interment camp survivors were not paid by the "perps." The reparations paid to Jewish Holocaust survivors were not paid by the "perps." The reparations paid to Ford and GM for their Nazi factories being bombed were not paid by the "perps." You are mistaking reparations for civil damages. Those are two totally different things.
