I don't have any idea where it came from, either. It seems to be one of dannno's idées fixes (which is the only reason I ever mentioned it at all). That's exactly why I said the following in post #95: I have no particular problem with any of this. In fact, I even agree with much of it, to at least some degree. I think that Trump was a hapless narcissist and that most of the good things - and bad things, for that matter - about his Presidency were more or less accidental. At any rate, they certainly weren't the result of any multi-dimensional strategy or adherence to any set of principles on his part. Much of the value that came out of his administration (such as the red-pilling exposure of the corporate media as a bunch of mendacious hacks) was due not so much to Trump himself, but to the unhinged lunacy he triggered among his enemies and critics in the Cathedral. As far as I'm concerned, Trump qualifies as being better than his living-memory predecessors for just those reasons. (And consider just how fucked up things have to be, for that to be the case ...) I just find it vastly amusing that some (not you) will contort themselves into the most grotesquely warped of pretzels merely in order to avoid admitting that Trump had any serious flaws (such as his half-assed gun grabbery) or that he is at all responsible for any of the negative aspects of his administration (such as his lousy cabinet picks and other appointments). It is truly a thing to be marveled at ...

Nothing at all should be done in the Machiavellian world that is the sewer of D.C. - precisely because that is exactly what it is. So fuck that place. A few remnant flame-keepers (such as Ron Paul or Thomas Massie) are the best to hoped for from that direction. If he hadn't been dead, he certainly would have been impotent and helpless (even more so than Trump). Change, if it comes at all, will not come from the top down.

JFC. There's always some excuse, no matter how lame and/or bizarre ... #MAGAlogic (NOTE: In the following, those who are so inclined should substitute "Satanic pedophile" in place of "bad, awful person.") "Since Presidents can't just install anyone they please in their cabinets, they can't really be held responsible for any bad, awful person who ends up there." "Presidents can't just fire a bad, awful person in their cabinets, because it might not 'work out'." "The best way to find out if someone is a bad, awful person is to give that person power." #1 is the epitome of lame-ass shuck-and-jive excuses.

Will a Biased BLM Juror Lead to a Mistrial for Derek Chauvin? Viva Frei Vlawg It seems a juror may not have been forthright on his jury questionnaire. A photo of juror Brandon Mitchell wearing a BLM hat and shirt seems to indicate he may have not been entirely forthright on his jury questionnaire. CIA Embraces Left-Wing Ideology, Leftists Deny That This Is Happening https://mtracey.substack.com/p/cia-embraces-left-wing-ideology-leftists Michael Tracey (04 May 2021) In a mind-blowing marketing video first published on March 25, but which had escaped widespread notice until recent days, the CIA enthusiastically endorsed several key tenets of what has now indisputably become a hegemonic left/liberal ideological and rhetorical construct: “I am a woman of color,” the video’s protagonist, an unnamed CIA officer, triumphantly proclaims. “I am a cisgender millennial who’s been diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder. I am intersectional, but my existence is not a box-checking exercise.” She continues, “I used to struggle with imposter syndrome. But at 36, I refuse to internalize misguided patriarchal ideas of what a woman can or should be. I am tired of feeling like I’m supposed to apologize for the space I occupy.”

Yet, career politicians and their policies have destroyed that dream. It’s been locked away, closed, shuttered, left in the dark, burned down,” Jenner said. So what does this mean in actual practice? That is, what is one permitted to actually do with respect to a private business that hosts and enforces such signage? Is one who refuses to comply with the signage entitled to force a business to provide its goods or services anyway? By the logic of Eric's argument, it must be that the answer to this question is "yes" - because, by reductio ad absurdum, if one is not so entitled, then it cannot be the case that the signage (and the enforcement of the policy conveyed by it) is an "assault upon" or "violation of" one's rights. After all, any such assault or violation would entitle one to use force in order to effectuate respect for one's rights (because that is what is necessarily implied by the concept of "rights" in the first place).

You may be right. I should probably just go lay down with a damp towel on my forehead and watch some funny cat videos, instead. That would certainly be more edifying than trying to suss out the intricacies of MAGA-logic.

You are right. It doesn't mean that. What it does mean (and this was my point in posting the story) is that putting faith in the courts to "do the right thing" is idiotically misguided. It's a gamble at absolute best. Even worse, in the case of Trump's bump stock EO, it's a gamble that doesn't even have any payoff if you win - at best, you'll just get a return to the status quo ante. Trump's executive-order bump-stock shenanigans were stupid and foolish, and even if we put the most charitable 3D-chess MAGA-fu spin on them (instead of just accepting the obvious fact that Trump was a half-assed gun grabber), they were all risk in return for no gain. I'll say this again for the third time, because it so aptly summarizes even the best outcome that can be hoped for:

And yet. Maryland's bump stock ban survived appeal - and that's just okey-dokey as far as SCOTUS is concerned: Supreme Court won't take Maryland bump stock ban case https://apnews.com/article/supreme-court-of-the-united-states-maryland-las-vegas-mass-shooting-gun-politics-government-and-politics-8c51149a50935d3b1ee8d008fa6df3c3 Associated Press (02 May 2021) WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court is declining to take up a challenge to Maryland’s ban on bump stocks and other devices that make guns fire faster. The high court on Monday turned away a challenge to the ban, which took effect in October 2018. A lower court had dismissed the challenge at an early stage and that decision had been upheld by an appeals court. As is typical, the court didn’t comment in declining to take the case.

It is not a "report" - it is part of the CIA's own recruitment material, and it was created and published by them. As for the rest of what you said, it was addressed in the material I posted earlier: Why Power Is Getting Woke GCHQ’s Rainbow Lights: Exploiting Social Issues for Militarism and Imperialism Big Corporations Now Deploying Woke Ideology the Way Intelligence Agencies Do: As a Disguise
