All shapes and sizes? Sure. Some are skinny, others fat. That's about the gamut of variance for anything even remotely "libertarian". Those who would say "I'm a communist libertarian" should be involuntarily de-sexed so that they become incapable of propagating The Stupid into yet another generation. 1/2 :) Freedom. That's the long and the short of libertarianism proper. All the rest is putrefaction of the term. "OOOOoooo look at MMMMmmmmmeeeee everyone, I'm a left libertarian and I want the right to suck my goldfish's weenie..." Seriously, we should just buy Africa and put all the stupid people there and leave them to their own devices... supervised, of course, as they could not be trusted not to manage global destruction via The Stupid. Freedom is governed by natural law, which is the Law of the Freeman (what I generally refer to as "Law" , and carries but three precepts:

I would add a few points. Firstly, I don't care if they are ***** or pro-polygamy. Freedom is as scary and shitty as it is elating and exciting. As with anything, liberty is a mixed bag because we humans are mixed bags. Secondly, the open borders deal is a whole other kettle of rotting-in-the-sun fish. Humans are by nature territorial. Being so makes every good sense imaginable and it is wired into out mid-brains. Therefore, to go against our own nature by dispensing with borders is insane. It is tantamount to dispensing with our identities. Those advocating and working toward open borders should be taken from their beds at 3 AM and beaten with iron bars and whipped with iron wires until hatred for their mothers for having brought them into this world becomes second nature to them. People speak ceaseless of "tolerance". Tolerance yes, but not of the intolerable.

And it ought to. No sane man approaches this sort of thing casually. But we can say the same thing for the ways in which we the people have sat idly in the face of open tyranny and allowed Themme to do whatever the hell they wanted. Fate favors the bold and we the people have been ever so timid of late. Oh, and secession is not a particularly good idea at this time - not so long as we retain alternates. The notion of national defense is valid in this world of predatory insanity. Were the fifty states to go their own ways, I guaRONtee they would fall, one by one, to the likes of Russia and China. Of that there is absolutely zero doubt. They are meat eaters. We used to be but are now turning faggish. This will serve nobody well, of that I promise you. This republic thing can be done right, but not with corrupt people as the gross majority. We must be intelligent, smart, and grimly intolerant of the intolerable.

You raise valid concerns. Here is how I look at it, currently. If we do not hold an A5C, then our next choice is basically this: go to war, or capitulate to the left. I ain't capitulating, but I'm 63 and while in good shape for my age and have 50 years of bujutsu training, I cannot fight a civil war alone. Numbers in sufficiency are key. But so long as we have other untried avenues of redress, we should exhaust them before pick up our rifles. The ONLY such avenue left is the A5C. We should make use of that path if for no other reason than nobody will be able to say that we, the war-horny, Eville™ Right/Conservative/Freeman/non-commies went right to violence when they still had alternatives. Give it a whack. There is really nothing much to lose. The states can still pull out and anything put forward must still be ratified by 3/4 of the states. That last be alone almost ensures that nothing will change, but at least we can say we went through the process and can no longer be blamed for it's having failed. THEN we go to war and genocide the left as all propriety and rational sanity would dictate. 1/2 :)

Like "anarchism", "libertarian" is compromised beyond salvation. There are more idiots who ID as libertarian than there are actual libertarians. I jettisoned "anarchy" for "autodiathism", a term I coined that comes from the Greek for "self-determination". Similarly, I would leave "libertarian" on the cutting room floor. I prefer Freeman, the rest being Weakmen. As for "left libertarian", that is just another example of how the Regressives (communists) coopt and modify terms in order that they may perpetuate the Stupid in as many people as possible. They develop a lingo all their own and that alone tends to take on a life of its own. Next thing you know, Freemen are using is for the sake of being conversational, and it's all downhill from there. Same has happened with anarchy. "I'm a anarcho-communist"... and other similar idiocy can be seen spewed by the homers on social media - the little ignorant cunts who know nothing but think they know everything, wishing cancer on all who disagree with them and who hope the children of their enemies are raped and murdered. Can't make this crap up. There may be no other oxymoron as moronic as "ancom". The term literally means nothing at all to anyone who applies so much as a single half-functional brain cell to consideration of what "anarcho-communist" must perforce mean, if we assume basic sanity, rationality, and sincerity in a man. One cannot be an anarchist and communist at the same time. This is prime Stupid in action. I'm more of a mind to eradicate the left libertarian, as he is too stupid to live.

They might, but we then return to the rest of the world, the overlords of which take a dim view of anyone attempting to be free, as it serves as a very bad example to the rest of the world. Upsetting Theire apple cart is not met with happy faces and invitations to swank parties.

And there we are. Freedom is a fantasy because civilized people don't even rate as shit. The free people of the world, so far as I have ever been able to tell, have been tribal - savages with no idea of what it means to be civilized. Civilization is perhaps the greatest curse ever to befall humanity. Most people will disagree with bottomless vehemence, but I maintain that such people live under an eminently questionable set of fundamental assumptions. We could go into a very long dissertation about all this and I see no point. Suffice to say that to my thinking, uncivil life is greatly preferable to the civil. For me, all the purported benefits of civilization are nowhere worth the price we pay in fear and morbid greed.

I seriously doubt there is any nation on the planet that would cede territory for any reason, much less cash. I would also point out that establishing a free land in a world as wholesale fucked as this one would likely end in lots of fire and dead bodies. Nice idea on paper, but I suspect making it real would be just this side of impossible for any of a host of reasons.

To all the naysayers, I say this: walk, no - RUN from your cowardice because it will by all means prove the death of us all. It will be the final nail in the coffin of liberty. PS: Look what I found here on RPF - JUNGLE JANE! Anyone know/remember who she was?

No, the worst idea ever is holding on to the shreds of what you have, in morbid fear of losing that paltry sum. The implication of your statement is that the status quo is better than taking the shot. I must disagree with you 100% on that point. Doing nothing, hoping for some miracle is by far the worse idea. And if you believe that there is in fact a path toward sufficient national accord of mind between so-called "left" and "right", you are bullshitting yourself and doing great disservice to everything for which you may claim to care.

My point is that you will not get the people who don't want freedom to want it, so once again I reiterate: we have nothing to lose at this point. The only possible downside at this time is that we arrive at abject servitude faster if a convention runs amok. Clinging in nerve-wracked terror to what little remains to you seems no solution at all, but an absolute guarantee of the worst result, in time. Better to go down swinging, than doing the cling. Take a shot. Dare. Be courageous, come what may. But when you step up, you do so with utter commitment to a take-no-prisoners devotion to the right outcomes. I see no virtue in cowering in fear, holding fast to shreds, hoping that God will miracle your ass into freedom. Anyone holding to this view would be better served in avoiding the slow burn with a bullet to their own head as mercy to themselves. Why live in such fear?

I've had a change of mind regarding an Article V Convention of the states. "Oh GOD NO!!!", some of you may be thinking, but I believe my reasoning is sound. We are stagnant, at best, in terms of political change. More likely, we are decaying and there appears to be nothing in the way of a possibility that we the people will find a way to solutions via the usual routes. The implication, of course, being that we will simply continue down the chute into the form of serfdom that can no longer be credibly called anything better. We have nothing to lose at this point. The risk may be significant, but not so much so as doing nothing.

https://freedomisobvious.blogspot.com/2020/06/living-amid-weakmen.html In times prior, ignorance of political reality may have been excusable. Today, however, it is not for most people. The truth is out there, yet few seek it, proportionally speaking. My observation has been that when confronted with the truth about freedom, FAR too many recoil in horror, then proceed to clinch their eyes tightly shut, put their fingers in their ears, and screech "I can't hear you" in rapid repetition (sometimes after calling you "poopy face"), then run away as if to fend off the badness. That, my friends and fellow Freemen, is WILLFUL ignorance, WILLFUL stupidity, and WILLFUL corruption of everything that might have once been decent about a human being, now long mummified, and there being no discernible hint of even the least interest in watering that dead vestige of their soul. At some point the despicable behaviors and attitudes of the Weakman begin to have deleterious effects on their betters. There is a threshold beyond which there can be no recovery from the contamination of the good by the infected and the Freeman is faced with the choice to do nothing, perhaps out of a misplaced sense of live-and-let-live, or act to save himself from the Taint. This is the sad reality about humans - we are born magnificent creatures in our potential, but suffer the defects of our virtues, the worst of them being our eminent maleability, which today seems to lead to corruption at least as often as to anything better. Most often, a child becomes that which he is taught. Teach the wrong things and a monster grows from the seed that was once an innocent infant. And our children have been taught the poison thoughts given them by men who have either no interest in their welfare, save that it servers their own interests, or out of a misbegotten sense of righteousness, likely the product of that which they had been taught. Obedience blind and unquestioning. Collectivism. False authority masquerading as something valid. Relativism. The wildly wrong belief that rights are illusions and the individual must surrender himself to the "greater good" of the hive. Flight from pain. Fear of difficulty. Sex as mere entertainment. Life as non-sacred. These are but a small, yet very telling sampling of the evils that have been spoon-fed now to at least four generations in ever greater proportion, press of the boundaries, and stridence.

https://freedomisobvious.blogspot.com/2021/05/no-such-thing-as-good-cop.html Today I begin with the thesis that there is no such thing as a "good" cop. If you are one of those who are ready to jump down my throat and hurl rotten tomatoes at me, I ask that you remain calm until I have explained my position in sufficient detail. Bear in mind that most of what I will assert and attempt to defend bears the modifying amendment of "as currently constituted" and/or "as currently defined". I will do my best to make all of this clear in short order. To begin, I strenuously and unequivocally object to the concept of a "law enforcement officer" for the reason that "law" stands ill-defined in every source I have come to know. In the dozens of attempts at defining "law" that I have read, which range from Bouvier's and other law dictionaries, to various less-formal swags, nowhere have I encountered a definition that was in any way so much as approaching the sufficiency of rigor. This is more than a little surprising, given that the future's of countless lives have hung and continue to hang on the concept, which speaks directly to the much vaunted idea of "justice". How can one have justice if we cannot define that which is just? Even more surprising is the fact that one of the very best treatments on the subject can be found on wikipedia.org, a source I generally and validly view with keen suspicion and doubt. And yet, the article acknowledges my assertion that there exist no proper definitions of the term. To wit: There have been several attempts to produce "a universally acceptable definition of law".

I find it amazing to consider just how hopelessly corrupt a land we are, and have been for so very long a time when I read things like this. To think not only that some people would dare usurp the authority to remove those which are the most obvious prerogatives of free men, but also that we as a people would
