Choose Life Rally New Location: South Reno Baptist Church 6780 S. McCarran Blvd. Saturday, January 12, 2008 • 10am Outside on sidewalk. Dress warmly. The Choose Life Rally features keynote speaker Norma McCorvey, the “Jane Roe” of the infamous 1973 Supreme Court decision Roe v. Wade. McCorvey will share her heartfelt journey from the abortion industry’s poster girl to one of the most outspoken and inspirational leaders in the prolife movement. McCorvey’s 1998 autobiography, Won By Love, exposed the truth about her life in the pro-abortion camp, and later, her conversion to Christ. Her current organization, Crossing Over Ministry, is dedicated to spreading the truth and promoting healing. Ms. McCorvey now speaks the truth, including both her involvement in Roe v. Wade and in various abortion clinics. She has appeared on various major television news shows including NBC, ABC, CBS, Larry King Live, and FOX’s Hannity and Colmes, in addition to testifying before various Congressional committees. Norma McCorvey is dedicated to documenting the stories of post-abortive women in an attempt to overturn Roe v. Wade. Her story is truly one of inspiration and redemption. PRO-LIFE CALENDAR January 12, 2008 ............. Choose Life Rally and Life Chain, South Reno Baptist Church 6780 S. McCarran Blvd. January 19, 2008 ............. Nevada Presidential Caucus. Remember to vote for a pro-life candidate. Link: http://www.nevadarighttolife.org/pdf/jan08.pdf ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ron Paul on Roe v. Wade: “Although the real problem lies within the hearts and minds of the people, the legal problems of protecting life stem from the ill-advised Roe v. Wade, a ruling that constitutionally should never have occurred.” Ron Paul on Stem Cell Research: Voted against funding stem cell research that requires killing human embryos. “Asking taxpayers to fund research that they could very well be opposed to ethically seems to me to be patently unfair.” Ron Paul on Partial Birth Abortion: Voted for the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act. “...[The Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act] has the possibility of saving innocent human life, and I will vote in favor of it.” Source: http://www.nrlc.org/Election2008/all...comparison.pdf |
