______________________ "Manchester – UnionLeader.com has learned that the New Hampshire Republican Party has quit as a co-sponsor of tomorrow night's nationally televised GOP forum on FOX News. The 8 p.m. event at Saint Anselm College -- the last debate before Tuesday's primary -- had become controversial when FOX refused to include Ron Paul. More details will be posted shortly." http://unionleader.com/article.aspx?...0-637736adf6fd ______________ Update: Confirmed by Boston.com as well: The NH Gop drops sponsorship of FOX Debate The New Hampshire Republican Party dropped their affiliation with a Republican debate sponsored by Fox News tomorrow night because they have limited the number of candidates that can participate. “The first-in-the-nation New Hampshire primary serves a national purpose by giving all candidates an equal opportunity on a level playing field," said Republican chair Fergus Cullen. "Only in New Hampshire do lesser known, lesser funded underdogs have a fighting chance to establish themselves as national figures." The Fox debate is excluding Texas Congressman Ron Paul even though he polls higher in New Hampshire and has raised significantly more money, and is campaigning more in New Hampshire than Fred Thompson who is invited. http://www.boston.com/news/local/pol..._drops_sp.html _____________________ Final update: CNN confirms as well: http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com...ebate-support/ Last edited by skinzterpswizfan; 01-05-2008 at 11:08 AM. |

This is awesome news! We now need to use this action of the NH GOP to advance our cause in New Hampshire! Lets spread the word far and wide that everyone in New Hampshire has the chance to vote for the candidate that FOX NEWS DOES NOT WANT THEM TO KNOW ABOUT!

Can we get a solid confirmation? That paper also posted some incorrect information today about the debate today. We need to get this confirmed. If they did pull out that is way huge and great news.

It could prove to pull some independents out for a protest vote in favor of Dr. Paul.

At this point, after the NH Republican Party has withdrawn its support for the FAUX forum, I'd say any of the other candidates still planning to attend have a lot of explaining to do. Let's nail them on this! It's time to contact our competitors campaigns and ask them why they're still planning on attending the NH Forum when it isn't even supported by the NH GOP!
