You're going to need to update it every single day. And, you should format it similar to what Malksum (sp) did in his thread. Also, congress.org lists 147 cosponsors for today, but I'm not sure which list to trust.

Is this really going to pass..? Holy crap.

Include the current number in the thread title, too
I ignore the fact that RP's take back the GOP strategy is working. I ignore the fact that RP accomplished more from his 2008 GOP run than he ever has before. I ignore the fact that 3rd party candidates lose and are a joke to voters. I ignore all this b/c I have an arousing fantasy where RP runs 3rd party in 2012, magically polls at 15%, magically is allowed in the debates, and then magically wins the election. Trust me, it'll work this time.

I would do that but I didn't think you could edit thread titles after the fact.

We're up to 157, including Ron Paul. Also, congress.org has consolodated their list with thomas.loc.gov and they provide the number of Republicans and Democrats.

    23 Democrats
    134 Republicans

Ok, I'm starting to get really frustrated. I have called my congressman every day for the last 14 working days. That's almost 3 weeks. I have talked to his policy person, I have talked to the GAO to find out if his arguments held water, I have responded back to the policy person with information that squashes his argument. I have collected and dropped off signatures. I have spent time on radio call-in shows advocating for the bill. VT C4L members have also been calling and dropping off petitions. I am about to blow a fuse, I really am. Every single day there are more and more co-sponsors and my congressman is not one of them. What more could I be doing?

Theres 2 things you can do:

    1. Start papering your district with flyers that your congressman is AGAINST transparancy and honesty in govt.

    2. Run for office.

My congressman sounds similar to you.. His people were a little braindead when I went down in person once.. UNTIL I said "Dont you get it? I could bang on 50,000 doors and show people this stuff and GET THEM ALL TO VOTE FOR ME AS CONGRESSMAN. (unless they worked for banks)"

after that, I got his attention (the staffer) but still. I may have to run for office to do any real change in my district.

For the last five days, the cosponsor list has been stuck at 165. Hmm...

Yeah where's all the Financial Services committee members?

Oh and how about all the Democrats that want to regulate and control EVERYTHING... where's their co-sponsoring?

It stinks of BO, Rahm Emanuel, and the Campaign Contributions to these political whores

Like Tom Woods said on freedom watch yesterday, the only thing the Dems don't want to regulate are the quasi-governmental agencies like the Fed, Fannie and Freddie.
"A wise and frugal Government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned - this is the sum of good government." - Thomas Jefferson's First Inaugural Address, 1801

I just got confirmation from Peter Welch's (VT) office that he did co-sponsor 1207.

eta I can't help but think it may have had something to do with him being active on this site and seeing my criticism yesterday. Woohoo!

Someone with computer skills far superior to mine: how about a map/website showing the congressional districts that are being represented and those that are not? the supported ones in blue, the non-supported districts in green.

green and blue simply because those are the colors of the Seattle Sounders. purple and gold are the other colors i'd use (UW Husky colors)

  31. #27
in Louisiana, all districts except for 2 and 3 are on board. 5 out of 7 districts reporting victory.
Ron Paul won the caucus in this state, so it was easy to get these guys on board. In fact, most of them had their picture taken with Ron for promotional purposes.
