Ron Paul declined the pension program, tried to block a congressional pay raise, and gives a portion of his salary(could be office budget) back. Ron Paul could make more money as a physician anyways so it's obviously not about money.

To start with Ron Paul didn't get paid in inflation adjusted dollars.

Second, this was Lew's rant against the bonuses, not Pauls.

that's what i have been thinking. why in the world is he using inflation adjusted dollars? to make paul's case seem worse? if that were the case, we should use this reasoning for any and everyone. everyone in this country would have gotten a pay raise haha.
