I agree- I think its largely sour grapes on the part of the right wing nuts who ran a bad candidate and got spanked. Now they are desperately trying to do anything they can to overturn the results of the election.

The wing nuts are also claiming that Obama's mother went to Kenya, squirted him out, the zipped back to Hawaii and make sure the announcement got put in the local newspaper (presumably to maintain his viability to run for President, even though, at that time, he couldn't even drink from a "white" drinking fountain). Pretty unlikely, to say the least.

This nonsense doesn't help us- it only makes us look like crazies and reduces our effectiveness in future elections.

Leave it to the nut jobs in the far right wing of the Republican Party (there are plenty of them) to pursue this Quixotic attempt to overturn the election results.

What I don't understand, is that supposedly Obama has several legal teams ready to fight this in court..

Why doesn't he just present his birth certificate? I had to do it for little league.

Talking about sour grapes, obviously you must have forgotten that I openly preferred Obama to McCain, though I did not support him in any way, shape or form. Ask Tones, I'm pretty sure she remembers.

You can talk about birth announcements all day long, and citizenship requirements.. but there was a 2 and a half hour press conference a few days ago that was very interesting. It pretty much explains why we should be going about this.

This is my gut reaction as well.

However since joining this freedom movement I've learned to never dismiss anything just because "it sounds outlandish".

Notice the cognitive dissonance here, "We need to follow the law" to "courts do what they want."

Well, which is it?

Rachel, a birth announcement in the newspaper is NOT the same as an official document by the State.

I'm not claiming anything. I am not alleging that he was born outside of the country or that he is ineligible. My only point is that this issue is too big to be ignored and buried.

The nonsense tyhat doesn't help is making up your own Ideas about everything, regardless of fact, and then trying to peddle your own delusion as the yellow brick road.

Fact of the matter is nobody's claiming anything other than Obama's not eligible, most in fact don't even care about birthplace, but that doesn't fit your fantasy.
