have some amateur suggestions for Delavar running in the 3rd Congressional district in Washington. Personally, I affiliate myself with Olympia; that's where my drinking buddies are, the establishments and businesses that I visit, and the civic organizations that I belong to.
As a candidate from the Campaign for Liberty movement you have the potential for strong support in Olympia, by appealing to what I call Olympia's anarchist tendencies. The campaign may also need to morph its stance on illegal immigration to something that does not focus on a group of people. I might expound on that more later. There needs to be more emphasis on things that matter to people in liberal Olympia. There is a streak, a vein that runs through Olympia, and that is fear of unchecked power, and if that chord was struck I think Delavar can achieve stronger support. Here is just a couple of things that need emphaisis for your to garner support. Opposition to war based on a non-interventionist stance. Championing and, really, defend the Constitution, any transgression against it will not be tolerated. Attack inflation. This issue alone can be tackled effectively by Delavar. The answer is there, it's not rising prices, but falling dollar, right? And your solutions, Delavar, is different from other candidates, and it could ease the anxiety of many a voter. Another thing, I don't notice that you are utilizing the Campaign for Liberty, either as a slogan or as show of broad support. If you highlight the Campaign for Liberty as one of your bases of support, I believe interest and credibility in your message will increase and strenghten. The Republican party is considered by many, as you can imagine, the Repooplican party. If the Delavar campaing can distingush himself as a true conservative, you could sidestep this Republican backlash. This might require a little education on the neoconservatives. We can say that the party was hi-jacked, and you want to return to an American type of conservatism. |

Will Delavar be a repeat of Ron Paul in New Hampshire? Here's another amateur suggestion, Delavar cannot portray himself as a generic Republican, which Ron Paul was called in New Hampshire.
In the presidential primaries, Ron Paul hopefuls saw New Hampshire as the launching ground for Ron Paul's bid to executive power. After all, New Hampshire is the "Live Free or Die" state, the state's motto. It is a state that with a strong anti-war sentiment and has no income tax or sales tax. This state sounds perfect for Dr. Paul, but unfortunately Ron Paul came in fifth, after Rudy Guilani. This does not mean that there was no enthusiasm for Ron Paul. In fact, there were a lot of Ron Paul signs in the state, and four houses were rented out by volunteers to help out in the NH primary. The New Hampshire strategy that Ron Paul took is one that I think Delavar is following, and the same result that befell Ron Paul could happen to Delavar - a disappointing loss by a surprisingly large margin. "In NH It had become an article of faith that Paul would make his best early showing in the Granite State. It once had the country's largest number of elected Libertarian legislators. It has resisted smoking bans, income taxes, sales taxes, and Real ID. Its motto, "Live Free or Die," sounds like a Paul slogan. " http://www.reason.com/news/show/124295.html The Ron Paul campaign tried to woo Republicans by following a "generic" Republican line of campaigning - mainly one "that stressed his army record, his pro-life views, and especially his yen for closing the border." I realize that it is perhaps too late to alter any campaign strategy for Delavar at this point, but it is worth noting. Last edited by zara oly; 10-03-2008 at 11:07 PM. Reason: grammar |

as posted on the main forum, folks in Delavar's districts need to get these ASAP and put them on every reference to Brian Baird visible in this district. If i lived in the district i'd write a letter to every newspaper in the district calling out Brian "Bailout" Baird.
these are my political tips for Delavar and the patriots in SW Washington. |
