Default Operation St. Paul Billboard Locations - Check it out!!

Donations still being accepted!

These are the billboard locations I'm thinking about for MPLS. On the main map I marked the GOP convention with an "X" and the CFL rally with a "".

At present moment we should have enough funds to do 4-5 digital billboards, each to run for 1 week. So I'm thinking boards 1, 2, 3 and either 12 or 14 (12 & 14 are downtown in the nightlife districts). All the boards on the map are marked with a half circle, with the flat side the way it faces.

The conventional board at the bottom of the pics is only if we raise more funds, as it's something like $12,000 for 2 weeks. It's location is near the CFL rally, but is not on the map (map is of digital locations only).

You can see the MPLS-St. Paul International Airport on the map. The boards are strategically placed for people traveling from the airport into either MPLS or St. Paul. And of course for people moving back and forth from MPLS to St. Paul, as many people will be in hotels all over the Twin Cities shuttling around all day.

Thoughts?

I'm concerned that delegates will be staying close to the the convention in nearby Hotels and won't see any billboards, except for when they arrive!!

To decide where and how to place billboards, I think you have to know what the goal is. What is the goal of placing the billboards???

If it's to let the delegates KNOW there is a choice, then they need to be in the places the delegates will see them EVERYDAY, not just when they arrive.

I still like Taxis and Buses, or billboards in very close proximity to the Republican Convention. Taxis are great because delegates will be taking them when they go here or there. Is there any subway there? If so, hit that too!!

You might even consider hitting the airport when they arrive and/or depart. On departure areas, "Got Freedom now??"

If I can get to MPLS, I'll be staying near the CFL convention, I don't want to have to rent a car and drive.

Information on the Hiawatha line & buses...
Quote:
The Hiawatha Line is a 12-mile (19-kilometer) light rail corridor in Hennepin County, Minnesota that extends from downtown Minneapolis to the southern suburb of Bloomington, connecting to the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport and the Mall of America, among other destinations.

Hiawatha is operated by Metro Transit, which is also the primary operator of buses in the Twin Cities.

Default billboards

How effective is a traditional billboard compared to the digital?

What is cost difference?
