I don't have the website for Presidential Campground nearby.
Here is a link with info.

These would be good for people coming from the South.

There are other campgrounds for people coming from the west and north.

I will try to get more info.

I love the camping idea. I bet I can get at least 15 people from the philly area to camp out. I hope this works out.

I think it would be awesome to fill up these campgrounds with Ron Paul Republicans. Plus it's cheaper than hotels and would solve the parking issues as there really isn't alot of parking in DC...... If we could get this organized and set up a chip in to reserve group sites and family sites for the weekend that would so rule..... the group sites are an awesome deal .. about $100 reserves them......

Of course I don't know anything about Chip in... someone familiar with it would have to set it up.... but I would be glad to get the reservations and all the info and post it here..........

Here is a link to hotels for Fairfax County. They tend to be a lot cheaper than staying in DC and tend to have free parking. Parking at some DC hotels can hit 25 dollars a day for even a Marriott.

Check the Revolution March website as well. www.revolutionmarch.com

Revolution March is working on getting reduced rates for our group.

So if people really want to save money they should go to www.revolutionmarch.com

http://www.visitfairfax.org/accommodations

More information is being developed. If people want, we may try to get hotels for each state so that you can meet your fellow activists.

Speaking of taking over whole campgrounds...

The Travel and Lodging Committee is in the process of reserving entire sites. So far, the Mawavi Campground is reserved for our travelers - $20 for the weekend per person, and 140 spots to sleep! This is rustic cabin camping at it's best! And, we have it confirmed now!

Plus a new website to book all your march travel and group campground lodging is at http://revolutionarytravel.eventbrite.com!

Contact us if you need anything at travlodge@revolutionmarch.com.

Thanks!

Hi!!! Ok, in case none of you have read this...I am organizing a west coast caravan and alot of them are interested in camping out. We are also looking into camping sites or RP supporters with land who will allow us to crash there...since it is a bout 3 days worth of driving coming from the west coast. If any of you find out if entire campsites can be reserved let me now=)

It might take more than three days to drive. I have driven across county a few times. Four or five days might be better if you like your sleep.

You will have to have drives switch every few hours.
