If we made a party called the "conservative" party. then republicans can't call themselves conservative anymore, they'd have to come up with a new word

That is an excellent point. The Conservative American Non-Globalist Party. That would make neo-cons the Liberal Anti-American UN Party. We'll just rename the GOP after we take it over.
