Antifa: "We'd have to do him like Gaddafi"

Wow. Not much more to say. Unprecedented ignorance. While reinforcing the deep state murder of Qaddafi? WTH happened to the left? At least back in the day, they were somewhat savvy on foreign policy.

How was Mao's reign compared to any of the regimes that came before?

What does Antifa want exactly? I'm trying to understand? They are low on my list of priorities, but if they engage, I'm more than game.

They're anarcho-communists. They want a cadre of syndicates to overtake both the state and capitalism. They oppose private property, borders, profit, and hierarchy. In my experience, they tend not to be Marxists, but usually, take their cues from Bakunin, Malatesta, and Kropotkin. They claim not to be for central planning, instead arguing for "decentral planning".

If you mean that they're communists, well obviously.

My point is that these groups who get so much attention in the GOP media actually do dramatically less damage than the government which the same media slobbers over on a daily basis. Suppose Antifa destroyed/stole $100 million worth of property last fiscal year (a gross exaggeration). The Trump administration stole/destroyed 40,000 times that amount. In other words, if one is all hopped up about Antiwhatever, one's priorities are rather askew.

One can be concerned with both, the potential threat from AntiFa is much greater than the damage done by the current regime but the current regime is actual and must be addressed.

Yes, if Antifa expands its activities 40,000 times or so, it would represent a similar threat to life and property as the federal government.

....what confuses me, my sword manufacturing amigo, is why, given these facts, Antifa gets 40,000 times the coverage of the government

I mean, and this might be crazy, it's almost like the people complaining about Antifa aren't really concerned with the wellbeing of the country.

...it's almost like they're just trying to make some partisan point to support the federal government (run by...).

I am suddenly assaulted by memories of the Bush administration.

There are people who may wish to accomplish what you suggest but it is also because the government problem is old and AntiFa is new.

One of the few things, the Third Reich got right.

    https://www.jacobinmag.com/2017/05/a...rmany-cold-war

On the Left, many Communists and Social Democrats had either been outright murdered by the Nazis, or died in the ensuing war. The unimaginable human and material destruction wrought by Nazi rule killed millions and turned German society upside down, decimating the labor movement and murdering most of the country’s Jewish population. Millions who had supported or at least acquiesced to the regime *— including many workers and even some former socialists — now faced a new beginning in unknown political terrain.
These groups, oftentimes launched from the aforementioned housing estates, were generally called “Antifaschistische Ausschüsse,” “Antifaschistische Kommittees,” or the now famous “Antifaschistische Aktion” – “Antifa” for short. They drew on the slogans and orientation of the prewar united front strategy, adopting the word “Antifa” from a last-ditch attempt to establish a cross-party alliance between Communist and Social Democratic workers in 1932. The alliance’s iconic logo, devised by Association of Revolutionary Visual Artists members Max Keilson and Max Gebhard, has been since become one of the Left’s most well-known symbols

I'm not overly concerned about the AntiFa mob in the street.

Nothing new there, the Bolsheviks have been able to out perform us there by a 100 to 1 margin for decades now.

The difference is they are all talk in a bag.

When pushed hard enough, "we" do show up with guns, and have been able to back Uncle Sucker down.

My concern is that these people have infected every single cultural and government institution that you can think of.

They won't show up to "bash fash" when the rubber finally meets the road.

But they will have no trouble directing their proxies, who number in the millions now, to bash all of us.

And that means me and you...kind words and non-partisan purity will mean zero.

Anybody to the "right" of Leon Trotsky or Fidel will be marked for "bashing"

Their job is to instigate and provide the press with fodder like Charlottesville. When the real conflagration comes, they will head to the hills, since they know little about real war.
