    The Trump Presidency Is Over

Somehow they are using this crisis agaisnt Trump and his admin. Read carefully in the article. This writer still whines that Hillary didn't win.
still goes to say that Hillary admin would have done a problary better job.

    The Trump Presidency Is Over

When, in January 2016, I wrote that despite being a lifelong Republican who worked in the previous three GOP administrations, I would never vote for Donald Trump, even though his administration would align much more with my policy views than a Hillary Clinton presidency would, a lot of my Republican friends were befuddled. How could I not vote for a person who checked far more of my policy boxes than his opponent?
To be sure, the president isn’t responsible for either the coronavirus or the disease it causes, COVID-19, and he couldn’t have stopped it from hitting our shores even if he had done everything right. Nor is it the case that the president hasn’t done anything right; in fact, his decision to implement a travel ban on China was prudent. And any narrative that attempts to pin all of the blame on Trump for the coronavirus is simply unfair. The temptation among the president’s critics to use the pandemic to get back at Trump for every bad thing he’s done should be resisted, and schadenfreude is never a good look.
That said, the president and his administration are responsible for grave, costly errors, most especially the epic manufacturing failures in diagnostic testing, the decision to test too few people, the delay in expanding testing to labs outside the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and problems in the supply chain. These mistakes have left us blind and badly behind the curve, and, for a few crucial weeks, they created a false sense of security. What we now know is that the coronavirus silently spread for several weeks, without us being aware of it and while we were doing nothing to stop it. Containment and mitigation efforts could have significantly slowed its spread at an early, critical point, but we frittered away that opportunity.

Taken together, this is a massive failure in leadership that stems from a massive defect in character. Trump is such a habitual liar that he is incapable of being honest, even when being honest would serve his interests. He is so impulsive, shortsighted, and undisciplined that he is unable to plan or even think beyond the moment. He is such a divisive and polarizing figure that he long ago lost the ability to unite the nation under any circumstances and for any cause. And he is so narcissistic and unreflective that he is completely incapable of learning from his mistakes. The president’s disordered personality makes him as ill-equipped to deal with a crisis as any president has ever been. With few exceptions, what Trump has said is not just useless; it is downright injurious.

Donald Trump is shrinking before our eyes.

The coronavirus is quite likely to be the Trump presidency’s inflection point, when everything changed, when the bluster and ignorance and shallowness of America’s 45th president became undeniable, an empirical reality, as indisputable as the laws of science or a mathematical equation.

It has taken a good deal longer than it should have, but Americans have now seen the con man behind the curtain. The president, enraged for having been unmasked, will become more desperate, more embittered, more unhinged. He knows nothing will be the same. His administration may stagger on, but it will be only a hollow shell. The Trump presidency is over.

Really, LOL! President Trump and some of the Republicans seem to be the only sane ones in DC.

    Lightbulb Hillary Lost

Hillary would have been on Martial Law a lot sooner with a more effective reduction in CV cases, but would have racked up a high body count of White Heterosexual Males.

Trump was a bit slow off the line, but he's doing sorta OK on CV now for a Socialist thug.

Not a fan of GOPA wing but just cuz he downplayed corona risk earlier and put Pence in charge of arranging "millions of testing kits soon", his Presidency is over?

Political risk may be decreasing now, also he he's no longer using the term 'hoax' when answering corona preparedness questions.
But all that didn't stop Bidenwho just rolled out his own Corona plan.

Another allegation that he was focussed on his donors driven Iran sanctions/military strikes in Iraq to defend our foreign allies in mideast just when corona was spreading unchecked in America has also not been validated by MSM.

Another rumor that he removes public health officials who forget to praise the President's handling of the situation in press briefings has also turned out to be unfounded.

    Biden receives Secret Service protection

By Noah Gray, Jim Acosta, Eric Bradner and Arlette Saenz, CNN

Updated 2:42 PM ET, Tue March 17, 2020

(CNN)Former Vice President Joe Biden received Secret Service protection starting Tuesday, sources familiar with the matter told CNN.

The development comes with Biden knocked off the campaign trail amid concerns about the coronavirus pandemic, instead holding online events for voters and donors.
"The U.S. Secret Service can confirm Acting Secretary of Homeland Security, Chad F. Wolf, along with the Congressional Advisory Committee has authorized that the Secret Service provide physical protection for presidential candidate, former vice president Joseph Biden," a Secret Service spokesperson said in a statement. "As a matter of practice and for operational security reasons, the Secret Service does not discuss our protectees, protective means, methods and or protective responsibilities."

Biden's Secret Service code name will be "Celtic," according to two sources familiar with matter, which was his code name as vice president.

Oddly enough, coronavirus might end up winning him reelection.

People are likely to rally around the leader, any leader, in a crisis.

Plus, he can now blame the recession on the virus.

One doesn't get the "rally around" vibes in this case, assuming this reporting is not fakenews:

Granted that GOPA leadership has assumed wartimes powers in a bold historic move, 'Iraq war' model probably doesn't apply here , thinking in terms of 'national unification' catalyst.

I dont see how a election would possible at a time like this. Joe Biden will likely lose to Trump though the fact hat Joe Biden has being going around saying things like we need a green deal at a time like this?

How could elections be held when the spread would likely happen even more?

Trump says 'no way' he'll cancel GOP convention in August

    By J. Edward Moreno - 03/26/20

President Trump said there is “no way” he’ll cancel the GOP convention in August, despite the uncertainty surrounding planned events due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“We’re going to have our convention. You know, we have our convention in North Carolina, in Charlotte,” he said to Fox News host Sean Hannity on Thursday evening.
The GOP convention is scheduled for Aug. 24-27, about two months before the general election in November.

Are you kidding? Most businesses will never recover from this. There's going to be 10's of millions unemployed and Congress will keep the checks coming until election day so there is no need for them to get back to work.. they will earn more being unemployed than if they do go back. Trump must be a genius for signing that, eh?

True but lets not forget there were some high officials even dr fauci who said that the new admin will be facing a outbreak of some kind in the future. Its almost like this was designed to hurt Trump, i wont be surprised if Trump losses to this crisis.

dont you remember how some on MSNBC or whatever were screaming that they wouldn't care if America was in a crisis or recession as long if its meant to get rid of Trump in the process?
    The impeachment failed.

Don’t root for a recession to knock out Trump

dont forget its a Liberal congress that is not allowing the checks to happen.

You have the liberals defending China while the media and liberals attacking conservatives for wanting to have tougher stance on China? something seems rather odd there right?

why wont the Liberals in America admit that China made a mistake?

And for every one that fails another will be created from the ashes. Small business lending, backed by the Fed, will go out the roof if the economy re-opens by July.
Even if the unemployed are being payed those Fed dollars will cycle through local businesses. Those who want to work will work. Those who don't won't. So, business as usual. All adding to the debt of course. But, that is neither here nor there. Because nobody gives a $#@! about that anymore.

The money will circulate in the form of inflation, dont worry about that philly. Just what Trump needs before the election. He is making things worse for himself. as the Fed prints like crazy to prop up the economy.

Voters are going to be very angry come November.

They might as well give it to Biden now.

Voters don't give a $#@! about inflation. Or haven't you noticed over your lifetime? Lol. 1 in 10 couldn't define the word. You're pre-mature. Give it to July and we will re-visit this.
