RPFers-Join me on Yahoo Anwers. Reply to questions on jury nullifying, CPS, joining cops, etc.

So this is an update to a thread I made awhile back. I am asking if people here will like to join me on Yahoo Answers.

Yahoo Answers is a semi-forum where people ask questions and get immediate answers. The questions can be just about anything, but I usually answer practical questions. Examples are how to be a nullifying juror, how to deal with CPS (child protective services), how to handle a police roadblock, etc. I am hardly an expert in any of this, so I usually cite some legal/practical sources. Your own personal advice however, is often heeded.

Here are the pros of posting on Yahoo Answers:

    1. Your audience (ages 13-retired) is captive because they are asking a practical question. They WILL read your answer.

    2. The answers are short, to the point, and fairly instant.

    3. You don't debate people, so you save A LOT of energy.

    4. I copy & paste standard replies for questions that repeat themselves weekly/daily.

    5. Moderation is scant. Except for threatening somebody, you can say just about anything. You can post anonymously or change your user name at will.

Here are some of my answers. I received a Yahoo Best Answer with my replies on these threads. That means my reply is listed first on the page. Note that my user name is "William James." My avatar is the bear in a swimming pool.

I would be glad to see anybody from RPF on Yahoo. I learned some really good pointers on discourse from RPFers because this site--bar none--has the most thought provoking and intelligent people of any forum I have visited. Thanks also to Democrat progressives ZippyJuan, TheCount, Influenza, DForkus, PRB, Sam I Am, MaybeMaybeNot/O'Reich, etc. for their debates. I admit those guys are sometimes sharp and made me think. A special thanks also to Lucille who once showed me the CNTRL + F key in searching a word document. That has been invaluable in searching my notes.

So yeah, if anyone is interested, just go to https://answers.yahoo.com/. Again, you can post anonymously and constantly change your user name. Moderation is scant. You can make infinite Yahoo accounts.

I will suggest some Yahoo sub-forums in which people here might be interested:

Yeah, I don't know why it does that. The Yahoo URLs also disappear sometimes. It's as if they expire after being there a few weeks. The good thing is that threads don't get bumped. You get immediate answers and most people won't view a thread after one day.

You can see that the Yahoo forum is fairly crude with few sophisticated features, so they barely spend money on it. Site has a lot of bugs.

Anybody care to hit the Military section on Yahoo Answers for a week or so? I am taking off a little just to recharge my batteries. I hit it pretty hard this year.

    Again:

    1. Moderation is weak to nonexistent. Short of threatening someone, you can say about anything.

    2. I post with my user name, but you can post totally anonymously.

    3. People asking questions will listen to you. You WILL make an impact with a single post.

    4. Since the moderators are practically gone now, feel free to copy and paste my posts.

Here's the military section: https://answers.yahoo.com/dir/index?sid=396545449. You just need a Yahoo email. Again, post totally anonymous and no one will see your Yahoo user name or email.

    Here is what I wrote:

Constitutionality is irrelevant. What is RIGHT, however, is not.

Not only is it your right to nullify bad statute, it is a duty you hold to yourself, as well as your fellows.

The question becomes, what differentiates mere statute from LAW?

LAW is valid because it bases in principle, whereas mere statute is nothing more than the whim of some randomly chosen legislative body.

Violation of LAW is a CRIME, whereas violation of statute that does not rise to the standard of LAW, is not. It is a simple thing, and while at first may seem difficult, with some practice becomes easier and easier, as one's habits of thought and analysis become well tuned to the task of making the determination.

Is the simple possession of methamphetamine a crime? No. Why? Because in order for a crime to have been committed, there must be a credibly demonstrated victim.

Is murder a crime? Clearly yes. Why? Because there is a victim whose property (their life) has been stolen from them AGAINST THEIR WILL.

Is suicide a crime? No. Why? Because there is no victim, even though someone loses their life. Why is there no victim? Because the act was committed with the injured party's consent to said injury. In other words, a man cannot criminally victimize himself. It is by definition an impossibility.

Given all this, you now have most of what you need to be able to make these sorts of decisions. The last thing you should know, however, is that you may not always like the answers that the truth brings to your questions on such issues. For example, we may not like that people destroy their lives with drugs such as meth. What decent man would think this a good thing? But that does not mean we choose to agree with drug laws simply because they impose upon others that which we would have imposed upon them no matter that others might think. This is a very common error on the part of well meaning people.

Never violate the freedom of a man's prerogatives to choose just because he chooses something disagreeable to you. This is a deep and cardinal sin against your fellows, no matter how noble your intentions.

Freedom requires much of the individual, including courage, smarts, intelligence, and generosity of spirit toward one's fellows, ESPECIALLY when it is most trying to manifest these qualities in the face of the grossly disagreeable. Those are the times when a man's true cloth are made most clear. It is rarely easy to be free, but the rewards are well worth the costs, IMO.

So if you feel the drug laws in question are not righteous, then it is your duty as a free and self-respecting man to nullify them and to convince your fellow jury members to follow suit.

    Good luck with it.
    freedomisobvious.blogspot.com

There is only one correct way: freedom. All other solutions are non-solutions.

It appears that artificial intelligence is at least slightly superior to natural stupidity.

Our words make us the ghosts that we are.

Convincing the world he didn't exist was the Devil's second greatest trick; the first was convincing us that God didn't exist.

Anybody else besides me want to chime on this Homework Help question, and counter the ridiculous communist answer?

Your answer does not have to be long. Just a sentence or two and an example.

Question from Tony: How can we maximize human and business potential?

Answer from Reema: By promoting free education and healthcare, you can add value to the human resource. The more knowledge an individual gains the more independent he becomes. This needs to be an integrated effort taken up by governments of various countries that minimize their profit margins and aim to help the underprivileged sections. NGOs and other organizations can also aim to develop institutions that work to the benefit of the society.

As far as business potential is concerned the more independent the individuals become, the more needs for jobs are created thereby creating the need for more business to be established and worked upon collectively.

Answer from me: One way is to eliminate onerous regulations. Do you know one must have an occupational license in some states to simply to braid hair? The licenses cost a mint and are mostly used as barriers to thwart competition.

Below is an article from the magazine called BUSINESS INSIDER.

Does anyone else want to weigh in on these two questions? It's a chance for you to be heard outside of RPF. I also have a feeling that the two students are being unduly influenced by the very progressive educational system.

This first one is a student writing an essay. The question is Why the First Amendment should/should not protect the right to Hate Speech?

I actually question the very premise that hate speech exists, but not sure if I articulated my views very well. See the link here.. My reply has the blue-black owl avatar.

The second student is writing a paper on "sexism." I really think this is a pansy term and is greatly overdone.

The people posting questions on research papers often check them days later, and these were just posted.

Here is another student, likely being drilled with school propaganda on "climate change."

My answer is short, so I welcome any critiques or additional info.

You can either click the link or see the Q & A below the link.

    https://answers.yahoo.com/question/i...4013716AAO0k1x

Q: I have to do a research paper about climate change I had read about it but I will like if someone can help me how to first. It a 2 page?

My Answer: Best Answer: Climate change has not been demonstrated. The temperature is different from my porch to my driveway.

What is the margin of error on 1.8 degrees in many decades? Record keeping in this time period of so-called change was done in analog, not digital. Even scientific sources like NASA acknowledge that many of the temperatures were rounded up in over a century of record keeping.

You might want to look up something called the Urban Heat Effect. It means that a temperature will drastically change when you add a building. What happens when you add that building next to a weather station?

Three Best Answers among many Best Answers I've received.

Question: I have a problem with the law, and law enforcement. How can I fight the law and fight law enforcement?
My Answer: There are five basic ways to fight for liberty. I will list them, accompanied by my personal commentary.
[See the rest of my answer by clicking hyperlink. Also, special thanks to @-H_H (Helmuth Hubener) on this because this is actually his answer.]

Question: "Can I get arrested for said "cyber-crime" or Bullying.?"
My Answer: There is no such thing as "cyberbullying." There used to be this saying that went, "Sticks and stones might break my bones, but words can never hurt me." It means you have no control over a propelled rock breaking your arm. You do have control over how to respond to someone's verbal barrage. [See the rest of my answer by clicking hyperlink]

Question: Does something like the Criminalization of prostitution lead to any unintentional effects?
My answer: Criminalizing consensual behavior simply leads to the manufacture of criminals. I think that consensual activity should not be illegal. Making this activity illegal results in crime and violence. You are simply manufacturing criminals.

Preaching to the non-choir. Does anyone want to try & spread liberty ideas elsewhere?

I wrote about this awhile back in a thread about posting on Yahoo.

I'm still on Yahoo and ran across this homework assignment from a Yahoo user. His question is:

After laws were passed, what was a negative effect of urbanization?

    A.) Better working conditions

    B.) Building safety codes

    C.) Mandatory schooling

    D.) Increased crime rates

You can see the implicit assumption is that answers A,B,C are positive, but I answered showing that all are negative. I started my answer like this:

I'm sure your class answer is D, but all of those have negative effects. Generally, any time you pass an ordinance/statute, you curb a freedom. You are trading one value for another.

    Here is the link: https://uk.answers.yahoo.com/questio...9190003AARDFuE

Your answer will not fall on deaf ears. People ask these questions, so you have a captive audience.

I find liberty ideas are very alien to people. I think reaching them makes a difference.
