Ordeal,,biopsy today. had to drive an hour... this was for confirmation,, but they may want to biopsy other locations.

Take heart, Pete. My dad was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer last February. Lung, metastasized to his brain, with a few lesions in various locations in his bones. He's received excellent care from the oncologists at UPMC and while there is no cure for his cancer, it is currently "inactive", which means that it is not growing and not traveling inside of his body right now.
He initially was being treated with chemotherapy, including Keytruda, but in the fall of this year they switched him to an oral medication (I can't think of the name of it, but I can find out for you) and that is when he made his progress.
Stay positive, and especially stay confident - your mentality is a big part of your treatment. Stay strong in your faith, and take it one day at a time.

I honestly don’t know what to say.
My sister had cancer throughout he whole body that none of us even knew about. It’s unclear whether she knew or not, but she went peacefully andcwith little pain. She just went to sleep one day and never woke.
May you hVe a similar peaceful experience surrounded by loved ones to send you off.

mostly from the broken bones.. the arm being latest,,and most surprising. but i have a couple broken ribs, and my pelvis fractured in 3 places.
some of the testing (prostate biopsy )is unpleasant. more to come.
I'm going with hormone therapy,, as opposed to cutting my balls off.

Pete, you have been in my thoughts and prayers a lot since I heard.
I've been a "memento mori" thinker and we all have an expiration date, and no one knows when. A healthy person could be gone tomorrow.
A neighbor and friend got diagnosed about 20 years ago. She was pregnant at the time and was told treatment would end the pregnancy, but if she didn;t get treatment, she would be lucky to live long enough to carry the baby to term. and by then treatment would not help and she likely wouldn't survive a year from the diagnosis date.
She didn't take treatment, had a healthy daughter and a few years later another healthy child and all are still alive today.
That's an exceptional case, but I do want you to know that you and Suzu have always been two of my all-time favorite posters here. Just a calm confident humility that I think is so inspiring and so few people ever achieve. You've responded to this challenge just as I would expect you would. If it is a brave face, I continue to pray for peace for you at any times when pain or fear is the devil you have to fight.
You will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. I hope I face my challenges half as well as you.
