Can't watch the video, but from the article it looks like they twisted his words. He didn't say "let's arm teachers" as if he wants them all issued guns. He said that the Gun-Free Zone legislation should be repealed so that teachers can CHOOSE to carry a gun if they want. Big difference.

"Let's arm teachers" is a great headline to send the anti-gunners into a blind rage though.

Question for mod... is there any way at RPF to embed these types of videos? If so how? THX

'We endorse the idea of voluntarism; self-responsibility: Family, friends, and churches to solve problems, rather than saying that some monolithic government is going to make you take care of yourself and be a better person. It's a preposterous notion: It never worked, it never will. The government can't make you a better person; it can't make you follow good habits.' - Ron Paul 1988

He is completely right, unfortunetly he is appealing to those who have a brain.

He could use some help in the comments. If one doesn't have an account, we can still vote up the good ones!
Original supporter of Ron Paul since 2007 and lifelong supporter of liberty and the Constitution. I stand with Rand.

I don't get why they don't have a problem with the principle carrying but do have problems when a teacher is carrying.

Apparently they have a very low opinion of teachers. Lots of rejects in the comments.

I don't think so, until USA Today shares the video on Youtube.
"We do have some differences and our approaches will be different, but that makes him his own person. I mean why should he [Rand] be a clone and do everything and think just exactly as I have. I think it's an opportunity to be independent minded. We are about 99% [the same on issues]." Ron Paul

Some schools have been arming their principals and assistant principals for years now. I remember back when I was in high school and in 1999, they starting arming the two assistant principals (concealed carry).

schools should at least have a gun locker, if not concealed carry, where it requires one or two staff members to open the locker.

Exactly. That solution would prevent these attacks and prevent accidental shootings.
