Another good thing to help the breathing and clear congestion is NAC (N-acetyl cysteine).

    I would try some LSD.

Ah, but seriously, dopes & docs (often one-in-the-same) will often dismiss or play down the effect of natural & alternative treatments. I always check sources like Medline and CINAHL to get peer reviewed information. It often contradicts doctors you visit, who claim such remedies are useless. For example:

High-dose intravenous vitamin C attenuates hyperinflammation in severe coronavirus disease 2019.
Nutrition (Burbank, Los Angeles County, Calif.) [Nutrition] 2021 Nov-Dec; Vol. 91-92, pp. 111405

Objective: High-dose intravenous vitamin C (HIVC) is a major concern when treating patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The aim of this study was to assess the clinical efficacy of HIVC on hyperinflammation in patients with severe COVID-19.
Methods: This retrospective cohort study included hospitalized patients with severe COVID-19, a subset of whom was treated with HIVC. The medical records were screened for demographic data, laboratory findings, and medications, as well as initial and repeated values of multiple inflammatory markers for analysis.
Results: A high percentage of patients presented with hyperinflammation based on inflammatory marker levels above the upper limit of normal (high-sensitivity C-reactive protein, 80.1%; interleukin-6, 91.5%; and tumor necrosis factor-α, 67.4%). Eighty-five (36%) patients received HIVC therapy. After treatment with HIVC, the levels of inflammatory markers displayed a significant decrease compared with those of patients without HIVC. Furthermore, the percentages of reduction in inflammatory marker levels were higher in patients receiving HIVC compared with those in patients treated without HIVC. Stepwise multiple linear regression analysis revealed that HIVC was independently associated with percentages of reduction in levels of inflammatory markers.
Conclusions: HIVC has the potential benefit of attenuating hyperinflammation by reducing inflammatory marker levels in patients with severe COVID-19.

COVID-19: Up to 82% critically ill patients had low Vitamin C values.

Vitamin C Intervention for Critical COVID-19: A Pragmatic Review of the Current Level of Evidence.
Life (Basel, Switzerland) [Life (Basel)] 2021 Nov 01; Vol. 11 (11).

Severe respiratory infections are characterized by elevated inflammation and generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) which may lead to a decrease in antioxidants such as vitamin C and a higher requirement for the vitamin. Administration of intravenous vitamin C to patients with pneumonia and sepsis appears to decrease the severity of the disease and potentially improve survival rate. Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection causes pneumonia, sepsis and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) in severe cases, and is referred to as coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Patients with COVID-19 infection also appear to have depleted vitamin C status and require additional supplementation of vitamin C during the acute phase of the disease. To date there have been 12 vitamin C and COVID-19 trials published, including five randomised controlled trials (RCTs) and seven retrospective cohort studies. The current level of evidence from the RCTs suggests that intravenous vitamin C intervention may improve oxygenation parameters, reduce inflammatory markers, decrease days in hospital and reduce mortality, particularly in the more severely ill patients. High doses of oral vitamin C supplementation may also improve the rate of recovery in less severe cases. No adverse events have been reported in published vitamin C clinical trials in COVID-19 patients. Upcoming findings from larger RCTs will provide additional evidence on vitamin supplementation in COVID-19 patients.

The Implications of Zinc Therapy in Combating the COVID-19 Global Pandemic.
Journal of inflammation research [J Inflamm Res] 2021 Feb 26; Vol. 14, pp. 527-550.

The global pandemic from COVID-19 infection has generated significant public health concerns, both health-wise and economically. There is no specific pharmacological antiviral therapeutic option to date available for COVID-19 management. Also, there is an urgent need to discover effective medicines, prevention, and control methods because of the harsh death toll from this novel coronavirus infection. Acute respiratory tract infections, significantly lower respiratory tract infections, and pneumonia are the primary cause of millions of deaths worldwide. The role of micronutrients, including trace elements, boosted the human immune system and was well established. Several vitamins such as vitamin A, B6, B12, C, D, E, and folate; microelement including zinc, iron, selenium, magnesium, and copper; omega-3 fatty acids as eicosapentaenoic acid and docosahexaenoic acid plays essential physiological roles in promoting the immune system. Furthermore, zinc is an indispensable microelement essential for a thorough enzymatic physiological process. It also helps regulate gene-transcription such as DNA replication, RNA transcription, cell division, and cell activation in the human biological system. Subsequently, zinc, together with natural scavenger cells and neutrophils, are also involved in developing cells responsible for regulating nonspecific immunity. The modern food habit often promotes zinc deficiency; as such, quite a few COVID-19 patients presented to hospitals were frequently diagnosed as zinc deficient. Earlier studies documented that zinc deficiency predisposes patients to a viral infection such as herpes simplex, common cold, hepatitis C, severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV-1), the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) because of reducing antiviral immunity. This manuscript aimed to discuss the various roles played by zinc in the management of COVID-19 infection.

Zinc sulfate in combination with a zinc ionophore may improve outcomes in hospitalized COVID-19 patients.
Journal of medical microbiology [J Med Microbiol] 2020 Oct; Vol. 69 (10), pp. 1228-1234.

ntroduction. COVID-19 has rapidly emerged as a pandemic infection that has caused significant mortality and economic losses. Potential therapies and prophylaxis against COVID-19 are urgently needed to combat this novel infection. As a result of in vitro evidence suggesting zinc sulphate may be efficacious against COVID-19, our hospitals began using zinc sulphate as add-on therapy to hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin. Aim. To compare outcomes among hospitalized COVID-19 patients ordered to receive hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin plus zinc sulphate versus hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin alone. Methodology. This was a retrospective observational study. Data was collected from medical records for all patients with admission dates ranging from 2 March 2020 through to 11 April 2020. Initial clinical characteristics on presentation, medications given during the hospitalization, and hospital outcomes were recorded. The study included patients admitted to any of four acute care NYU Langone Health Hospitals in New York City. Patients included were admitted to the hospital with at least one positive COVID-19 test and had completed their hospitalization. Patients were excluded from the study if they were never admitted to the hospital or if there was an order for other investigational therapies for COVID-19. Results. Patients taking zinc sulphate in addition to hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin ( n =411) and patients taking hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin alone ( n =521) did not differ in age, race, sex, tobacco use or relevant comorbidities. The addition of zinc sulphate did not impact the length of hospitalization, duration of ventilation or intensive care unit (ICU) duration. In univariate analyses, zinc sulphate increased the frequency of patients being discharged home, and decreased the need for ventilation, admission to the ICU and mortality or transfer to hospice for patients who were never admitted to the ICU. After adjusting for the time at which zinc sulphate was added to our protocol, an increased frequency of being discharged home (OR 1.53, 95 % CI 1.12-2.09) and reduction in mortality or transfer to hospice among patients who did not require ICU level of care remained significant (OR 0.449, 95 % CI 0.271-0.744). Conclusion. This study provides the first in vivo evidence that zinc sulphate may play a role in therapeutic management for COVID-19.

And for God's sake, stay out of drug stores and big box stores for supplements. They're mostly low quality. Invest in a good food grade, raw supplements that your body will absorb and use.

It helped people or I wouldn't have mentioned it.

Generally done after using a positive pressure nebulizer.

If someone's lungs are plugged anything that'll clear some of the mucous right away is a good thing.

    [edit]
Percussion is done as therapy to help open the bronchi, it does nothing to fight a viral infection.

    Here's a print version;
    https://www.verywellhealth.com/chest-percussion-914775

Chest percussion is a form of physical therapy used frequently in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and other conditions, such as cystic fibrosis, to help clear the airways from mucus. It involves a therapist or loved one clapping on your chest or back to help loosen the thick mucus in your lungs so you can cough it up. Chest percussion also can be performed using electronic devices or other instruments that vibrate your chest.

    Purpose
Conditions like COPD and cystic fibrosis can result in major mucus build-up in your airways, making it hard to take a deep breath. While there are several medications that can help loosen mucus, making it easier to breathe, chest percussion is often used to help achieve this goal. Strategic clapping on the chest or back shakes the sticky mucus loose.

Chest percussion is considered a part of chest physical therapy (CPT), which also incorporates postural drainage and vibration, both of which can help loosen and drain mucus as well.1

Performing Postural Drainage for People With COPD
    Risks and Contraindications
Chest percussion is a very safe procedure if performed correctly and carefully. Complications are unusual but may include:

An increase in hypoxemia (a drop in blood oxygen saturation levels)
    Severe bronchospasm2
Choking on loosened mucus secretions from other lung lobes
    Damage to internal organs
    Before Therapy
Your healthcare provider or respiratory therapist will give you specific instructions on how and when to have someone perform chest percussion on you. You should always follow the instructions from your healthcare team, but here are some general guidelines on how the procedure typically is performed.

    Timing
The best time to perform chest percussion is in the morning since it's likely that your lungs will have built up mucus during the night. If you have a problem with coughing overnight, you can consider performing it right before you go to bed as well.

Your healthcare providerr will advise you on the best times to perform the technique. Chest percussion works best after a bronchodilator treatment, so you might want to keep that in mind.

It's not a good idea, though, to perform chest percussion right after you've eaten; banging on your chest or back following even a small meal could make you sick.

    Location
Chest percussion can be performed while standing, sitting upright, reclining, or lying down on a firm, flat surface. Ask your therapist or healthcare provider which position is right for you.

    What to Wear
Note that the procedure shouldn't be performed on bare skin. Make sure you're wearing a shirt or use a towel to cover the area being treated.

    During Therapy
You'll likely be instructed to perform chest percussion at least once per day in several different positions:

    Seated
On your back with a pillow under your chest, so that your head tilts downward
On your stomach, also with your head tilted downward
It's important that the person performing manual percussion uses correct hand positioning: The hand should be in a cupped position, with fingers and the thumb together. They will then quickly and repeatedly clap you on the back of the chest with their hand.

The percussion should be relatively vigorous and rhythmic, but it should not be painful. If pain occurs, the hand may not be properly cupped and should be adjusted.

You'll know that the person performing this technique is using proper hand positioning when you hear a hollow sound with each percussion.

Chest percussion should only be done in specific areas:

    Over the ribs
On the sides of the chest
On the sides of the back
Care must be taken to avoid the breastbone, spine, and lower back, as percussing could harm internal organs. Your healthcare provider can show you exactly where to perform chest percussion.

If you're using postural drainage with chest percussion, you should hold your position for at least five minutes (or as long as your healthcare provider advises) to allow as much mucus as possible to drain from your lungs. Combining chest percussion with coughing or other methods of bringing up loosened mucus can also be helpful.

Should you opt to use a mechanical airway clearance device instead of manual chest percussion, speak with your healthcare provider about how to properly use it.

The ultimate goal of chest percussion is to loosen mucus secretions enough so that they may be coughed up. One of the benefits of this manual technique is that it can be performed in adults and children as young as 5. While clinical trials have not successfully illustrated its effectiveness in an evidence-based study, chest percussion remains an important part of treatment plans for many with COPD and cystic fibrosis due to anecdotal evidence of its benefit.

Thorne Research and Jarrow Formulas are high quality supplement manufacturers for Quercetin, Zinc, Vitamins C,D ect.

Thorne is the only one I’ve ever had recommended by a doctor.

That said, after about a week of struggling, my cousins vitals started dropping when she had it. Her husband is a neurosurgeon and had stayed home to take care of her, he gave her ivermectin and her numbers reversed overnight…

I have only heard of one case where it was claimed the nocebo effect was in play but I'm convinced it's involved in way more cases than people realize.
I actually just recently and FINALLY had someone I know "die of covid" and it's very difficult for me to find info on her case without seeming crass, but I suspect hers involved nocebo as well.

To make a long story short: There has been so much scaremongering involved with this that it's possible to basically psyche yourself to death.
    DON'T FALL FOR IT.
Do the homework and take measured responses.

One thing we did when we all caught it was I demanded that everyone get outside and get sunlight and exercise. You *are* all contagious and you should take that seriously because it totally is a weaponized virus and none of the theater we've been told to do will stop it spreading. Not six feet, not face diapers, not washing hands. Stay away from people as much as you can. But you still need to get outside and get exercise.

Especially your wife: the one repeated thing I've seen (and had confirmed by my sister who worked as an RN during the worst of it in NY) is that respiratory ailments are SUPPOSED to include sitting up, breathing deeply, and working the lungs. Part of the issue over the last two years is that the treatment often involves sticking people in a bed where they don't move, in direct contradiction to the normal way to handle respiratory issues, and once they get on the vent, it's even more difficult to get them to move, so they just deteriorate.

Also... when we had our outbreak at church at the beginning of the year, only one person ended up in the hospital, and I literally just got his story this past Sunday. He also had pneumonia. He was given Remdisivir as part of his treatment. Luckily he's an MD and read his own chart, and when the nurse came to give him another dose of Remdisivir he called her out, demanded to see the attending physician, and pointed out his liver and kidneys were shutting down and that he wasn't taking any more Remdisivir.

His wife has done a bunch of research on it and apparently 54% of covid patients given Remdisivir are developing serious kidney and/or liver problems. I had that confirmed by another source but I haven't done the homework on it yet. I'll see if I can look it up later - but my short term takeaway was that this isn't one of the almost completely harmless drugs we're not allowed to have for some reason (which is probably exactly why they're giving it in hospitals, but that's another thread).

Please PM me the names of your family so I can put them on our prayer list.

There are no crimes against people.
There are only crimes against the state.
And the state will never, ever choose to hold accountable its agents, because a thing can not commit a crime against itself.

I know a guy that got covid along with his wife and kids. They failed to get any Ivermectin and he didn't follow through very well with his treatment plan. Eventually he was hospitalized because of lung issues. When the blood oxygen levels dropped, it went fast. He is ok now but still gets winded easily.

    Doing much better. Thanks.

What was weird about this is that my wife and kids caught it the Saturday after Thanksgiving. In the whole time, no one had a fever. No one. We thought it was a mild cold. I had them take a little vitamin, C and D and zinc, but didn't think much because everything was mild. However, it kept slowly getting worse little by little. My wife had a bad headache every day. Monday night it was really bad and then she woke me up with difficult breathing. She had said she had trouble for a few days (but didn't tell me) and it gradually got worse. The thing was it was so gradual that she kept thinking it would get better. She didnt tell me until she wa really scared.

The funny thing is that with everyone sick in the house, it never affected me-- I have also been intermittent fasting and once my wife got feeling really bad, I hit the supplements hard. I also think that I may have had it in March of 2020.

The lesson. If any of you catch a "mild cold" hit it with everything you can. Pay attention if it gradually gets worse. It afects people differently. Enjoy your life, but take the mild symptoms seriously.

That all said, I am curious why the "experts" tell everyone to pay attention to fevers. No one had a fever in the house. Not even my wife with pneumonia.

Also, in the OP I stated that my kids shrugged it off as a cold. Earlier this week it was hitting them like a very bad cold. That's what I found surprising about it was that usually with cold and flus, usually a person knows how bad it will be in the first couple days. Usually the onset is the worst and you know how to deal with it. I will never write off mild cold symptoms again. I suggest you guys don't either.

    This is good advice.

When it tore through my home, everybody's fever was sporadic and never very high, mine being the worse with confirmed CCP19 pneumonia, it never exceeded 100 or so.

The key symptoms for "danger zone" territory is shortness of breath, constant dry coughing, and the O2 saturation rate falling consistently below 94 percent.

Glad to hear everybody is doing well.

Very true, since this is a man made bioweapon it is acting unlike any naturally occurring pathogen.
