Thread: US threatens Uganda with sanctions unless they go gay.

  1. #1

US threatens Uganda with sanctions unless they go gay.

Biden warns Uganda may face sanctions if anti-gay law not repealed.

President Biden on Monday called for the "immediate repeal" of Uganda's severe new anti-gay law and warned he may impose sanctions and other penalties in response.

Driving the news: Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni signed legislation Monday that Human Rights Watch notes criminalizes "merely identifying" as LGBTQ and imposes severe punishments for violations related to same-sex relations, including the possibility of the death penalty.

For the record, I don't support Uganda's law and think it's extreme. But it's not as extreme as Saudi Arabia's antigay law. So why is Biden bullying black people?

The Saudis may not own him, like they do the Bushes. But they can afford to rent him. So ask the Arabs why they're mad at Uganda.

If it isn't them, it's Israel.

I doubt the Saudis are mad at Uganda. I think it's more of a case of Biden bullying those he thinks he can get away from bullying. Biden was just recently begging the Saudis for billions of barrels of their black gold.

You know what's cool about nationalism, like federalism, you don't have to support everybody's laws... but I do support the right of Ugandans to make their own laws. "Not in our country" is a perfectly legitimate stance, and Ugandans have the right of self-determination to make that the law of their land, if they choose.

LoL - Biden can't bully a stick of margarine. He doesn't know day of the week it is.

The US government is bullying Uganda because we do what, about $100 bucks a year in trade with Uganda?

The Chinese, however are heavily invested in Uganda.

I'm guessing maybe there is a little bit of uneasiness in the burrows of the District of Criminals among the traitorous ruling class.

They're handing over the country to the Communist Chinese, who have no special place in their hearts for queeers, and maybe this is just a chance to virtue signal and push the pendulum before that happens.

In Clown World, I am constantly reminded of this prophecy, "I will bring the most wicked of nations to take possession of their houses. I will put an end to the pride of the mighty, and their sanctuaries will be desecrated." (Ezekiel 7:24) When a disease has spread far enough, there is no cure too extreme, since the patient is certainly going to die of the disease if some cure cannot prevent it. Bleach is a horrific toxin, but it kills all infectious germs. If we continue on our present course, China may be the toxin that purges the disease of the US...

I actually don't like the law, but I'm not Ugandan and it's not my place to judge. Why does the US have to constantly impose values and morality on other conutnries.? You think we would have learned by now. Sanctions are a joke, the US has no real trade with Uganda.

GDP growth in uganda running about twice what the US could muster the past couple decades or will in the future. Maybe americans could try working a little harder with less butt sex.LOL

last year, their conservative champion Simon Lokodo died while in Geneva on official duties.
He was an ethics leader in Uganda and also fought against pornography.
I hope the Ugandans continue to resist the wiles of Satan, and the filth of American values.
