It seems the Hartford Courant has it out for Peter Schiff.

The head of the newspaper donated money to the Rob Simmons' campaign, then there was the piece where an editor gave the woman associated with the DNC the last word, and now this.

I know it's early, but I'm predicting the Hartford Courant will give Schiff a hard time.

Believe me: most of them are pro-choice. There has not been a single representative or senator from Connecticut in decades that opposed abortions in any way, shape, or form - including the GOP ones.

Honestly I think Schiff did really well. Also he needs to focus on the economy...that's his strong suit and doesn't alienate him from the rest of the GOP.

The "interviewer" was a ridiculous left wing hack. He automatically assumed his left-wing ideology was correct and that Schiff wasn't "aware" of his "facts". It's disappointing that someone who has a job with a newspaper can't see that he's simply mouthing his worldview as gospel.

Another troubling aspect was that it was intentional. As a previous poster noted he was digging for a sound byte and I think intentionally trying to make trouble for him in the GOP primary by focusing on social issues and foreign policy. Like Lawrence O'Donnell on MSNBC he's playing the role of Chris Dodd's hatchet man. If Schiff can make it through the primary Chris Dodd is done. Just showing this over & over & over will bury him:

YouTube - Peter Schiff Vs. Chris Dodd - Fannie and Freddie

It's a conscious left-wing strategy: Attack Hard and Attack Early to define your opponent. This is what Rahm Emmanuel did in 2006... I read about it in The Thumpin' which is must read material.

YouTube - Crazy Larry's Soliloquy

By the way I saw evidence of Lawrence O'Donnell's conscious DNC shilling just this morning on Morning Joe. He started spewing attacks in his "analysis" of NY-23 like Hoffman's hospital receives earmarks and tried to paint a picture of impropriety.

Fox is commentary but most of it's people aren't like O'Donnell who is an active political operative that is worried about day-to-day elections and the political fortune of the Democratic Party.

He had a good quote at the end of this 3rd segment. Something about. "The money was embezzled by our politicians years ago, and it's not fair to steal from our children who didn't vote for those crooks."

Thanks Ron_Paul_Knows for putting up the 3 links. Definitely seemed like a hostile interview at times. I think Peter handled it pretty well, and that the appearance was a net positive. He's definitely not a polished politician, he actually answers questions honestly instead of droning on and on about some BS that's not even related until you forget what the original question even was. I hope the voters of CT see this as a good quality too.

I apologize, I watched a 9 minute piece which I thought was the whole interview.

Pretty pathetic barrage of questions.
Kind of reminded me of the Lawrence Odonnel "interview" on MSNBC.
