NPR seemed proud to announce this morning that "3 more accusers have come forward, bringing the total to 8"

But it makes no sense that "voters will have to be the jurors that decide this" - they'll need evidence.
The Governor or an election commission should decide to delay a very Special Election in this case at least but I dunno.

Why delay it? that doesn't sound very constitutional. So in the future all you need to do to delay an election or disqualify a candidate is have people come out with murky accusations that arent' even of illegal actions and no proof? that doesn't sound like a good idea.

According to a report from Mobile, AL CBS affiliate WKRG, “at least one person” in their viewing area had received a robocall seeking “damaging information about Roy Moore.”

The robocall, captured in a voicemail recording by Creola, AL pastor Al Moore, is from a man claiming to be a Washington Post reporter by the name of “Bernie Bernstein” and offers a “reward” for “damaging remarks.”

“Hi, this is Bernie Bernstein, I’m a reporter for The Washington Post calling to find out if anyone at this address is a female between the ages of 54 to 57 years old willing to make damaging remarks about candidate Roy Moore for a reward of between $5,000 and $7,000. We will not be fully investigating these claims however we will make a written report. I can be reached by email at albernstein@washingtonpost.com, thank you.”

I say this very carefully: As broadly as the rules seem to be defined, I think one would have a hard time finding a man anywhere who has not said or done something inappropriate with a woman at some point in his life. It seems to be the way men are hard wired. That doesn't make it right, but it also doesn't mean it's wrong in every case.

I don't blame you guys for being frustrated over it.

A special election to fill a Senate seat seems bad and costly in the first place - some states just have the Governor appoint the remaining term.

A delay, or better find a constitutional reason that no special election is even needed, would give a party the chance
to pull a candidate after a primary. Voters deciding this through the mucky waters doesn't sound fair either.

July 2016 when Comey announced that 7 emails were Top Secret with Hilly's going off the reservation I think
some people wondered how a candidate could be pulled by a political party after the primary season.

A state special election (for a federal office) could be a test of what to do maybe -
can a political party rescind a nomination after a primary in extending circumstances (?) I dunno.

I'd sooner get rid of political parties than give them even more power to choose candidates.

The political party went with the primary election winner as the candidate -
a re-primary seems better for GOP voters to make the decision - THAT won't happen.

The increasing number of woman coming forward with allegations is making them less credible and if all were true then
there are alot more people who knew about the conduct for a long time.

An "avalanche of woman" are coming forward (Hollywood / politics) . . .
that term made me think of Mittens Romney's "binders of woman" - lol

I just that that story about Al Franken. It's a lot more recent than the Roy Moore allegations. This could get interesting. Let's see if the media tries to bury it.

One of two things is happening with Roy Moore:

    1. Roy Moore is a closet rapist and sociopath

    OR

    2. This is the most evil political assassination we've ever witnessed. They are destroying Moore's life, his family, his career....everything.

Neither of these two outcomes bodes well for the future.

I think the sociopaths and psychopaths are the ones trying to stop Roy Moore.
“The spirits of darkness are now among us. We have to be on guard so that we may realize what is happening when we encounter them and gain a real idea of where they are to be found. Ya the video is really good overall, I don't think he really sees McConnell as being on our side tho.

#2 is the odds-on favorite, sorta

Dems took this as an opportunity - probably could have helped engineer the primary win for the set-up.

A special election with a short time from the primary win/nomination and no smaller party candidates or write-in grassroots organizations
to interfere. A delay of a special election seems fairest to voters here actually,
but nothing here bodes well for the future of special elections or Roy Moore.

Trump loves nonsense. He enjoys stirring it up. He tweets his opinion on everything. Yet he is quiet on this. That is telling too. He brought some Clinton accusers to sit in the front row of one of the debates.

Spokeswoman Conway says Trump is too busy to worry about it. https://nypost.com/2017/11/16/kellya...out-roy-moore/

But not too busy to complain that UCLA players hadn't yet thanked him for getting them home. (they since have).

Lisa Bloom Defends Harvey Weinstein, Responds to Mom Gloria Allred’s Criticism

Lisa Bloom is defending her decision to represent Harvey Weinstein in the wake of the Hollywood mogul being accused of decades of sexual harassment. Bloom faced criticism on social media — and even her mother, power lawyer Gloria Allred, spoke out against Bloom — over working with Weinstein.

Speaking exclusively to Variety on Friday afternoon, as the Weinstein Company board is in the process of meeting to prepare to suspend Weinstein, Bloom says, “I represent women and men in many kinds of legal matters.”

Eyebrows were raised on Thursday when the New York Times bombshell report about Weinstein revealed that Bloom would be advising the mega-producer through the sexual harassment scandal and had been consulting him over the past year.

Yesterday, Allred released a statement, disapproving of her daughter’s decision to represent Weinstein.

Had I been asked by Mr. Weinstein to represent him, I would have declined, because I do not represent individuals accused of sex harassment,” Allred’s statement read. “I only represent those who allege that they are victims of sexual harassment. While I would not represent Mr. Weinstein, I would consider representing anyone who accused Mr. Weinstein of sexual harassment, even if it meant that my daughter was the opposing counsel.”

Hannity just said that Moore was going to have another presser "shortly." I don't know when or if it will be televised. The White House presser seems to completely be ignoring the Tax Bill and focusing on getting Trump to condemn Moore. You know, really, really, really important stuff.

What's awesome is how Roy Moore holds these press conferences and the press doesn't $#@!ing report what the press conference was about..

Hey, how about tell people about the yearbook forgery?

Vice had a special on Roy Moore last night. They went to a retirement home and talked to two old women who said that his behavior was not out of the ordinary for Alabama in the 70s. It was riveting.

That, and there's heavy overlap between Trump supporters and Moore supporters.

Whatever Trump says, he'll alienate either his own base or the rest of the party.

Smart move to stay silent; I wonder who told him to do that?
