Trump campaign donations increased to $13.9 million in second quarter

Trump campaign donations for the second quarter (April to June) topped $13.9 million — up dramatically from the $9.8 million raised in the first quarter.

While liberal media have tried to paint Trump as racist and xenophobic because of his tough “America First” policy and call to enforce our sovereign borders, the two largest donations in the second quarter came from Chinese-Americans.

Lianbo Wang and Sherry Li of Oyster Bay, New York, donated $600,000 to the Trump campaign, Politico reported. In addition, Ben and Lily Tang of California donated $300,000.

I had hoped they would be persuaded that he's a lying, warmongering socialist by the overwhelming evidence that he's a lying, warmongering socialist. Alas, they were not (or were and didn't care - mostly this I think).

Ya, but he is much less of a lying, war mongering socialist than the alternative.

Nearly $500,000 of Donald Trump's 2020 campaign funds have 'gone to Trump restaurants, hotels and golf clubs'

Almost $300,000 went towards rent at Trump Tower in New York

Donald Trump's properties have reportedly cashed in on nearly $500,000 of the money set aside for the President’s 2020 re-election campaign.

The money which was initially assigned to President Trump’s future presidential campaign is said to have flowed directly into the pockets of Trump-owned restaurants, hotels and golf clubs. The expenses comprised of rent in Trump Tower and lodging, facilities rentals and catering at the President’s hotels and golf resorts.

Citing Federal Election Commission filings, the Wall Street Journal reported that $274,000, out of over $6 million in campaign funds spent in the first three months of this year, went towards rent at Trump Tower.

Another $58,000 is said to have gone directly to Trump International Golf Club in Florida - a course the President has been frequenting since entering the White House.

While almost $14,000 went towards renting facilities and catering costs at President Trump’s hotel in Las Vegas.

This is by no means the first time the billionaire’s campaign has been linked with his numerous businesses. During his 2016 campaign, the Trump's campaign spent more than $14 million on Trump-branded companies and family-owned businesses. This even included reimbursing his children for their travel expenses.

Unlike his predecessor Barack Obama, Mr Trump has poured his energies into actively and even forcefully fundraising since winning the election last November. The President, who filed paperwork for his 2020 re-election campaign on the day of his inauguration, has raised more than $42 million for his re-election campaign and the Republican National Committee since January alone.

    Why they donated:

The biggest donations given to Trump Victory and Trump Make America Great Again came from donors with limited histories of giving to Trump. The top donors, Lianbo Wang and Sherry Li of Oyster Bay, New York, gave a combined $600,000 to Trump Victory.

Li and Wang are spearheading a New York real estate project called China City of America that has for years worked to build housing in the Catskill Mountains that would allow Chinese investors to gain U.S. visas through the controversial EB-5 visa program.

Suckers? Those one are most likely getting something for their money unlike the no name person donating $100 to his campaign. Heck, if I had a hustle that would make me money with the govt, I too would donate to Trump.

For me I would almost never donate to his campaign seeing as he ran on the promise that he is a billionaire who can finance his own campaign.

Whatever happened to "I don't need any donations"? Now he is fundraising earlier than any other president in history.

Borders aren't "sovereign." People, individuals with inherent and inalienable human rights, are sovereign. Including over borders.

And I'm not surprised that many Chinese-Americans supported Trump. They're directly competing with Mexicans for jobs. If anything you should be embarrassed that a bunch of people form a literal Communist country support Trump in anti-free market economic protectionism. All this bawling about protecting "American culture" and here you are embracing the support foreign born socialists and communists.

He got less than a third of the Asian American vote. The donations were from rich Asians seeking influence. They would have donated to whomever won. They didn't give him money during the campaign. (at least the ones in the story)

So, you looked at what the definition of name calling is and you felt that saying that somebody is lying fits that description?

So, you're saying that writing that someone's lying, who hasn't even posted on this thread, is different than calling them a liar.....................
