FBI Official: State Dept. official offered 'quid pro quo' in Clinton email scandal

State Dept. official accused of offering 'quid pro quo' in Clinton email scandal

An unnamed FBI official alleges Patrick Kennedy asked agency to downgrade classified email in exchange for FBI agents in more countries.

    By Nolan D. McCaskill
    10/17/16 12:20 PM EDT

A top State Department official allegedly “pressured” the FBI to downgrade the classification of one of Hillary Clinton’s emails as part of a “quid pro quo,” according to documents released by the bureau on Monday.
The accusation of such an arrangement came from an interview the FBI conducted with an official in its records management division. Notes from the interview were released as part of the FBI’s public posting of documents related to its now-closed investigation into Clinton’s use of a private email server.

In the interview, the unnamed official says that Patrick Kennedy, under secretary of state for management, tried in late June or early July of last year to get the FBI to change a classified email to unclassified, in exchange for the State Department allowing the FBI to place agents in more countries.

The alleged "quid pro quo" was a pending request from the FBI for more foreign agents in a particular part of the world!

I remind you that classification is a function of what the information is and not whether some agency does (or doesn't) get more people funded to serve in certain parts of the world!

The corruption is endemic, it runs through the entire government, Hillary is embedded in it up to her neck and it is destroying our nation from within.

Everyone involved in this rank corruption -- including Hillary and Comey -- should be rotting in a federal prison right now -- and until they are may I remind you that you have no ethical or moral duty to obey the law when those at the top levels of our government not only refuse to obey the law but the alleged law enforcement apparatus both refuses to prosecute them and actively covers up their crimes!
Lawmakers Find "Quid Pro Quo" Between FBI And State Over Altered 'Classified' Clinton Emails
    http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-1...conceal-emails

Of course, the FBI told Fox News there was absolutely no impropriety in the interactions between the FBI and the State Department. Apparently an FBI agent just happened to raise the issue of additional slots for agents overseas during a call with Patrick Kennedy about changing email classifications due to a previous unfortunate bout of phone tag between the FBI and State. Here is the full statement from the FBI to Fox News:
    http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-1...ll-signs-cover

Yesterday we noted a potential "quid pro quo" arrangement between the FBI and State Department whereby Patrick Kennedy, a senior executive at the State Department, offered "additional slots for the FBI at missions overseas" in return of "altering the classification" of certain Hillary Clinton emails (see "Lawmakers Find "Quid Pro Quo" Between FBI And State Over Altered 'Classified' Clinton Emails"). Now, House Speaker Paul Ryan released the following statement saying that efforts of the State Department to pressure the FBI "bears all the signs of a cover-up" which, he says, is exactly why he called on the Director of National Intelligence to deny Hillary access to classified information.
    [...]
Then, yesterday, according to a report from Fox News, new FBI files reviewed by Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah), Chair of the House Oversight Committee, potentially pointed toward a "quid pro quo" arrangement between the State Department and the FBI whereby Patrick Kennedy, a senior executive at the State Department, offered "additional slots for the FBI at missions overseas" in return of "altering the classification" of certain Hillary Clinton emails. If true, of course, this new evidence could serve to discredit the entire FBI investigation as the notes are a "flashing red light of potential criminality."
Based on the idea of natural rights, government secures those rights to the individual by strictly negative intervention, making justice costless and easy of access; and beyond that it does not go. The State, on the other hand, both in its genesis and by its primary intention, is purely anti-social. It is not based on the idea of natural rights, but on the idea that the individual has no rights except those that the State may provisionally grant him. It has always made justice costly and difficult of access, and has invariably held itself above justice and common morality whenever it could advantage itself by so doing.

New FBI release on Clinton email probe refers to 'Shadow Government'
    http://www.cnbc.com/2016/10/17/fbi-r...ail-probe.html

One revelation in the documents came from an interview with an unidentified person who suggested that Freedom of Information Act requests related to Clinton went through a group sometimes called "the Shadow Government."

"There was a powerful group of very high-ranking STATE officials that some referred to as 'The 7th Floor Group' or 'The Shadow Government.' This group met every Wednesday afternoon to discuss the FOIA process, Congressional records, and everything CLINTON-related to FOIA/Congressional inquiries," the FBI's interview summary said.

That group, according to the summary, argued for a Clinton document release to be conducted all at once "for coordination purposes" instead of on a rolling basis as would normally be the case. But the "Shadow Government" did not get its way, and the agency in charge decided for a rolling release, the FBI summary said.

New FBI files contain allegations of 'quid pro quo' in Clinton's emails
By Catherine Herridge, Pamela K. Browne

FBI interview summaries and notes, provided late Friday to the House Government Oversight and Intelligence Committees, contain allegations of a "quid pro quo" between a senior State Department executive and FBI agents during the Hillary Clinton email investigation, two congressional sources told Fox News.

"This is a flashing red light of potential criminality," Republican Rep. Jason Chaffetz of Utah, who has been briefed on the FBI interviews, told Fox News.

He said "there was an alleged quid pro quo” involving Undersecretary for Management Patrick Kennedy and the FBI “over at least one classified email.”

“In return for altering the classification, the possibility of additional slots for the FBI at missions overseas was discussed,” Chaffetz said.

As Fox News previously reported, interviews released earlier this month, known as 302s, reveal the serious allegation that Kennedy applied pressure to subordinates to change classified email codes so they would be shielded from Congress and the public.

The sad part is..nothing will happen. Where is congressional outrage? Nowhere because they're all scared of their own behavior being revealed. The Clinton fans will still support her because they will support her if she murdered someone right in front of them. They really want Bill back in office because they are still angry about him getting almost impeached.. Hillary is their surrogate. The Justice Dept is not going to do anything. Congress is not going to do anything.

Then the Hillary backers will watch the world turn away from America. And more chaos in the middle east and terrorism in American streets. That would Hillary bring.

This issue is giving Trump some focus. As long as he keeps talking about it, we should be grateful. He's the one with the microphon. He's not afraid to say it, and he's calling Republicans out for waiting until after the election to hold hearings.

[...] Despite the uproar the release sparked due to the bribery allegations, some news organizations took particular interest in the FBI document’s mention of “the Shadow Government,” a group of “very high-ranking STATE officials that some referred to as ‘The 7th Floor Group’ or ‘The Shadow Government.’”

According to the FBI probe, “[t]his group met every Wednesday afternoon to discuss the FOIA process, Congressional records, and everything CLINTON-related to FOIA/Congressional inquiries.”

In the letter to Secretary Kerry, Chaffetz and Nunes added that members of the Shadow Government included Kennedy and “several former attorneys from the law firm that has represented [Clinton] in this investigation, Williams & Connolly LLP,” suggesting Clinton’s legal representatives may have influenced the FBI much like Kennedy attempted to.

Both congressmen are now urging Kerry to remove Kennedy from his post until further investigation can show proof the undersecretary did not have anything to do with the FBI’s decision not to prosecute Clinton.

In the FBI’s summary, the Shadow Government is said to have urged the FBI to drop the investigation documents all at once “for coordination purposes.” This information comes from an unidentified person, the FBI documents claim.

Usually, the bureau releases investigation documents on a rolling basis, releasing batches of investigation documents in its official vault. The group of very high-ranking State officials allegedly urged officials to do the opposite, but they did not get their way.

Regardless, after announcing the investigation had been concluded, FBI Director James Comey decided not to prosecute former Secretary of State Clinton, claiming the move was apolitical.

“I want the American people to know we really did this the right way,” Comey said in July. “You can disagree with us, but you cannot fairly say we did it in any kind of political way. We don’t carry water for anybody. We were trying to do what the right thing is.”

At the time, Comey explained he arrived at that particular decision because “no reasonable prosecutor would bring this case, no reasonable prosecutor would bring the second case in 100 years focused on ‘gross negligence.’” Nevertheless, the FBI’s own notes seem to argue that Clinton and her State Department minions may have been involved in criminal acts other than gross negligence.

Internal Anger At The FBI Over Clinton Investigation Continues To Grow
    http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-1...continues-grow

today’s article zeros in on the growing frustrations of current agency employees.

    The Daily Caller reports:

FBI agents say the bureau is alarmed over Director James Comey deciding not to suggest that the Justice Department prosecute Hillary Clinton over her mishandling of classified information.

According to an interview transcript given to The Daily Caller, provided by an intermediary who spoke to two federal agents with the bureau last Friday, agents are frustrated by Comey’s leadership.

This is a textbook case where a grand jury should have convened but was not. That is appalling,” an FBI special agent who has worked public corruption and criminal cases said of the decision. “We talk about it in the office and don’t know how Comey can keep going.”

Another special agent for the bureau that worked counter-terrorism and criminal cases said he is offended by Comey’s saying: “we” and “I’ve been an investigator.”

After graduating from law school, Comey became a law clerk to a U.S. District Judge in Manhattan and later became an associate in a law firm in the city. After becoming a U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York, Comey’s career moved through the U.S. Attorney’s Office until he became Deputy Attorney General during the George W. Bush administration.

After Bush left office, Comey entered the private sector and became general counsel and Senior Vice President for Lockheed Martin, among other private sector posts. President Barack Obama appointed him to FBI director in 2013 replacing out going-director Robert Mueller.

“Comey was never an investigator or special agent. The special agents are trained investigators and they are insulted that Comey included them in ‘collective we’ statements in his testimony to imply that the SAs agreed that there was nothing there to prosecute,” the second agent said. “All the trained investigators agree that there is a lot to prosecuted but he stood in the way.
Indeed, there were many red flags surrounding Comey from the beginning. So much so that I wrote an article in 2013 titled, So Who is James Comey, Obama’s Nominee to Head the FBI?

In light of the latest revelations that the NSA is spying on the communications of millions of Verizon customers courtesy of information provided by the FBI, it probably makes sense to know a little more about Obama’s nominee to head that Bureau. That man is James Comey, and he was a top Department of Justice attorney under John Ashcroft during the George W. Bush Administration (since then he has worked at Lockheed Martin and at the enormous Connecticut hedge fund Bridgewater Associates). This guy defines the revolving door cancer ruining these United States.
Now back to The Daily Caller.

According to Washington D.C. attorney Joe DiGenova, more FBI agents will be talking about the problems at bureau and specifically the handling of the Clinton case by Comey when Congress comes back into session and decides to force them to testify by subpoena.

DiGenova told WMAL radio’s Drive at Five last week, “People are starting to talk. They’re calling their former friends outside the bureau asking for help. We were asked to day to provide legal representation to people inside the bureau and agreed to do so and to former agents who want to come forward and talk. Comey thought this was going to go away.”

He explained, “It’s not. People inside the bureau are furious. They are embarrassed. They feel like they are being led by a hack but more than that that they think he’s a crook. They think he’s fundamentally dishonest. They have no confidence in him. The bureau inside right now is a mess.”

He added, “The most important thing of all is that the agents have decided that they are going to talk.”
Corruption in the USA has now reached the level where it starts destroying the entire fabric of society itself. This is a very dangerous moment.

Former US Prosecutor speaks openly about Comey's corrupt whitewash.

Former federal prosecutor Joe diGenova believes Project Veritas’ undercover investigative is a prima facie case of federal and state criminal activity.Prosecutors should investigate everyone in the video.

Many former and current FBI officials believe James Comey, the director of the FBI, is a “dirty cop.”

President Barack Obama’s Department of Justice “created a double standard for justice – one for the Clintons and one for the little guy.”

DiGenova suggests that the Republican Congress pass a “resolution of no confidence” on the FBI director as soon as they return to Washington.

“Why shouldn’t the American people be worried about the legitimacy of an election when one of the highest law enforcement officials in the country, James Comey, the Director of the FBI, goes in public and lies about the reasons for what he did (in refusing to prosecute Hillary Clinton). The biggest single contributor to cynicism about this election is James Comey.”
