Tommy Robinson Offered Asylum By German MP

A German member of Parliament (MP) has offered British activist Tommy Robinson political asylum following his arrest on Friday for suspicion of breaching the peace while livestreaming outside the trial of a child grooming gang.

Tommy Robinson is a political prisoner, whose life is in clear and pressing danger. We have to do everything we can to make sure he is granted political asylum,” said the office of conservative German MP Petr Bystron in a Saturday statement provided to the Gateway Pundit's Cassandra Fairbanks.
“As we know, German asylum laws are applied very liberally. Since 2012, 1.8 million mostly economic migrants have come to Germany under these asylum laws, even though they were not actually persecuted politically,” said Bystron, who himself came to Germany as a political refugee from Communism when he was 16.
The statement continued on to say that Robinson is an actual victim of political persecution and that he is appealing to the German Federal Government, the German Foreign Office, the European Union and all human rights organizations — including Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch — to step in and fight for his freedom and grant him asylum in Germany. -TGP
Freedom of speech is under attack all across Europe. I was at the AfD march in Berlin today, where people were waving #FreeTommy signs. I grew up under Communist dictatorship, and I will not let our freedoms be taken away again,” Bystron told TGP.

Robinson, a UK activist and founder of the English Defence Leage was arrested on Friday outside of Leeds Crown Court for reporting on a pedophile grooming trial. Within six hours of his arrest, Robinson was handed a 13 month prison term for violating a prior suspended sentence for a similar offense.
He was admonished last year by Judge Heather Norton for filming outside a gang rape case in Canterbury, who slapped him with a three month suspended sentence on the condition that he cease his coverage of the trials.
you should be under no illusions that if you commit any further offence of any kind, and that would include, I would have thought a further contempt of court by similar actions, then that sentence of three months would be activated -Judge Heather Norton
“This is not about free speech, not about the freedom of the press, nor about legitimate journalism, and not about political correctness,” the judge told Robinson at the time.
Perhaps most concerning to Robinson's supporters however - and noted by Bystron, is the danger Robinson faces in prison - where he has previously been attacked for his views. Media outlets, meanwhile, were banned from covering the incident by the court - with several removing reports which had already been published.
“Robinson has been the target of violent attacks by fellow inmates several times in British prisons. Judge Geoffrey Marson also imposed a news ban since the case is ongoing, even though Robinson’s case is closed. British Media had to take down their stories on Robinson,” the statement from Bystron’s office continued.

Also weighing in on Robinson's arrest is Dutch politician Geert Wilders, who penned a letter to the Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs with five questions.
    1) Have you heard about the arrest of British activist and Islam critic Tommy Robinson for "breaching the peace," while he was covering a trial of Islamic rapists, and that he was within a few hours convicted to 13 months imprisonment? What do you think of this madness?
    2) Do you realize that, if the said Islam critic has to spend his jail sentence among Islamic criminals, this may cost him his life? What is your opinion of this?
    3) Does, according to you, freedom of speech also apply to Islam critics in the EU and are you willing to immediately voice your dissatisfaction about this violation of freedom of speech by the United Kingdom to your British colleague and demand his attention for the personal safety of the person involved? If not, why not?
    4) Do you and your colleagues in the EU realize that you cannot silence the dissatisfaction in society about Islamization by prosecuting or arresting Islam critics, and that a large segment of the population will at a certain time no longer accept this and turn against you and your colleagues?
    5) Can you answer these questions before Tuesday, May 29, 11 am?

    Pedophile grooming gangs
As we reported on Saturday, A group of 29 defendants are being tried for historical sex offences against children, split into three trials. Robinson was arrested at the second trial, while the first is ongoing.
For more on the grooming gangs which have abused over 700 women and girls, click here.
Enraged Britons have been harassing the defendants as they make their way to court in the ongoing trials. Meanwhile, one group of protesters seems to have been able to avoid the long arm of the law - the Sikhs.
While Robinson is being punished for drawing attention to Muslim rape gangs, the Sikh Awareness Society, which has also reported on these "grooming" trials, is left alone. "They are a godsend," said Doe, "because they pull no punches yet don't seem to get the intimidation that people like Tommy get." UK Arrests Islam Critic For Reporting On Grooming Gang Trial

    http://dailycaller.com/2018/05/26/to...ted-reporting/

Anti-Islam activist Tommy Robinson was arrested Friday outside of a British court hearing on a gang accused of forcing women into sex, prompting protests Saturday.

Robinson was livestreaming on Facebook outside of a Leeds court when police arrested him for allegedly breaching the peace, according to The Independent. The Independent attempted to downplay Robinson’s claim of reporting on the grooming gang trial by putting “reporting” in quotes.

Video shows Robinson being whisked off by police as he demands to know the reason for his arrest. “This is ridiculous, I haven’t said a word…I’ve done nothing,” he said.

Robinson was sentenced to 13 months in jail for the crime, while the judge prohibited reporting of the verdict within the United Kingdom. No major British outlet reported on the sentence, and Breitbart redacted Robinson’s name from its report on the case.

Wow, anybody ever heard of a reporting ban??

I stand for freedom and liberty. I may not agree with everything Tommy Robinson (Stephen Lennon) says, but I will defend his right to say. They are gagging him, and trumping-up charges to hold him against his will.

As do I, free speech should be supreme. But this is Europe and they don't allow free speech abd even in US it's getting pretty curtailed gradually. Current POTUS big supporter of policing, militarization supporting Patritic Act and erring on the side of security.

Can sympathize with this guy/school of thought to some extent given how Islamization/cultural landscape change of UK/US acclerated sharply post Iraqi freedom revenge war with London's Mayor/UK cabinet ministers being Islamic now and a black future Queen in the waiting. But after looking at this picture where he supports one of the most oppressive regimes in the world, would file it under 'couldn't have happened to a more liberty loving guy'.

Tommy Robinson admits committing contempt of court by publishing information that could prejudice an ongoing trial.

The 35-year-old was already subject to a suspended sentence for committing contempt during a rape trial in Canterbury last year, and had been told that if he fell foul of the law again he would go to prison.

Tommy Robinson has been jailed for 13 months.

The arrest, imprisonment, and government-ordered media blackout of UK journalist and activist Tommy Robinson has set off a firestorm of protests around the world.

Free speech advocates and supporters of Robinson's movement from Melbourne to Berlin came out by the thousands to protest the Friday arrest outside of Leeds Crown Court while Robinson was reporting on a pedophile grooming trial via Facebook livestream. Within six hours of his detention, Robinson was slapped with a 13 month prison term for violating a prior suspended sentence for a similar offense.
A big police van with about seven police officers pulled up and arrested [Robinson] and told him to stop live streaming,” Robinson’s producer told RT (before their article (archived) was scrubbed from the internet). “They said it was incitement and a breach of the peace.
“No peace has been breached – there were two other people there and he’s been perfectly quiet talking into his phone. [The police] said nothing about the court proceedings. It’s very strange.”

Equally as disturbing are the implications of a court-ordered media ban, making it a criminal offense for news outlets operating in the UK to cover Robinson's arrest and incarceration. In a page straight out of George Orwell's 1984, several news outlets were forced to pull articles which were published before the ban.

Mass protests broke out following Robinson's arrest - the largest of which was a crowd of thousands in the UK, demonstrating at the gates of Downing Street to demand the release of the conservative activist.

Geert Wilders, leading Dutch MP and prominent anti-Islamization figurehead, has called for the release of British political prisoner, Tommy Robinson, also pressuring his own government to address the issue.
“As the leader of the largest opposition party in the Parliament of The Netherlands I urge you [UK Prime Minister Theresa May] to honor the value of free speech and release Tommy Robinson from prison,” Wilders tweeted. “The UK should not have political prisoners.”
He later posted a video of himself delivering an address on the matter in front of the British Embassy in The Hague.

Additionally, Wilders has issued a list of questions to the Netherlands’ Minister of Foreign Affairs appealing for attention to Robinson’s plight.
The formal inquiry, which was co-authored by fellow MP’s from Wilders’ Party For Freedom (PVV), requests a response from FM Stef Blok by Tuesday morning on topics relating to Robinson’s situation and how it pertains to the greater scenario playing out across the EU.
    The questions read as follows:
    1) Have you heard about the arrest of British activist and Islam critic Tommy Robinson for “breaching the peace,” while he was covering a trial of Islamic rapists, and that he was within a few hours convicted to 13 months imprisonment? What do you think of this madness?

    5) Can you answer these questions before Tuesday, May 29, 11 am?

The judge who imprisoned Tommy Robinson admitted he watched little of Robinson's livestream he claimed was evidence that Robinson was in "contempt of court."
According to Robinson's producer Caolan Robertson, who was in court during Robinson's sentencing, Judge Geoffrey Marson QC admitted that he barely watched Robinson's livestream, despite it being the focal point of Robinson's arrest according to the arresting officers themselves.
"The number one most significant thing that actually caused a little bit of a gasp in the courtroom from a couple members of the press was when the judge actually admitted that he hadn't watched the full livestream of Tommy talking," Robertson said on the Alex Jones Show on Tuesday. "He only watched a very, very brief moment of it before he made up his mind [to imprison Tommy.]"

In contrast, during the arrest, the police told Robinson he was "creating a breach of peace" based on "the content of what you're streaming:"

In other words, the content the judge never bothered to watch.

How could the judge claim Robinson was tainting a trial if he hadn't watched Robinson's full livestream? Robinson could have simply been talking about the weather and the judge's sentence would have still remained the same, given the judge's self-admitted ignorance.

It seems that Judge Marson didn't base his decision to imprison Robinson exclusively on the evidence presented.
Additionally, Robinson and his film crew were reporting outside the courthouse where the Muslim grooming trial was almost over, and, according to Robertson, they were careful to only report on facts of the case which were already public given that Robinson was previously accused of committing contempt last year.

The leaders of the Europe of Nations and Freedom group, held a press conference on the imprisonment of Tommy Robinson on 30 May. The MEPs call on the UK Government to release Tommy Robinson immediately.
Janice Atkinson, an independent UK MEP and Marcel De Graaff, Dutch MEP for the Party for Freedom, didn’t mince words when stating that the current state of Britain resembles a police state more than the bastion of free speech we were in times gone by.
De Graaff: Do you really think that this case of Tommy Robinson is about contempt of court? It is about keeping this information away from the general public.
“It’s a pity that the Government, police, judiciary and local authorities didn’t act with such eagerness and speed for the girls who were systematically sexually abused for over 20 years by Muslim grooming gangs, as they did with Tommy Robinson,” Ms. Atkinson says.

She continues: “Since 1997, with Blair’s Human Rights Act, the introduction of hate crime laws, slowly we have sleep walked into a near totalitarian state. It’s a lie that the public just don’t buy any more. From the working classes, to millennials, to those of colour, Sikh, Hindu, Christian or other, or of no faith. We support Tommy and demand his release. We have to for our children’s sake.”
During the press conference, Mr. De Graaff stated most emphatically that, “Hate speech is the new legal instrument to silence unwanted opinion, to cover up crimes, to silence political opposition. The so-called legal warfare of jihad. Contempt of court has yet become another instrument in the toolset to silence the free press and free speech, to cover up horrendous crimes and the complicity of local and national authorities.”

Thousands of Tommy Robinson supporters and free speech advocates around the world took to the streets for a second week of protests against the imprisonment of the UK journalist and political activist.

Demonstrations were held in Britain, Germany, the United States and several other countries. Around 400 people gathered outside Leeds Crown Court on Saturday for a march through the city center, while approximately 1,000 filled the streets of Manchester for a #FreeTommy demonstration, reported to have been spearheaded by the Democratic Football Lad's Alliance.

International protests on behalf of UK political prisoner Tommy Robinson gain momentum as Dutch MP Geert Wilders announces he will join the June 9th demonstration in London.
Wilders, an outspoken critic of the Islamization of Europe, risks a hostile reception from both Islamists and a British government that has denied him entry to the country in the past.
In a manifesto published by Breitbart London, Wilders praised Robinson for his courage in speaking out on behalf of the silent majority of Brits who are watching their homeland descend into an Orwellian, pseudo-Islamic tyranny.
"Tommy Robinson is a working-class man, who can no longer stand how the original population of England is oppressed by Islam," Wilders wrote. "The latter enjoys the protection from the multiculturalist politically-correct Islamophile ruling class. Tommy Robinson wants to break the taboos this class imposes on society, and he was punished for it."
"But Tommy embodies the hope of many, whose voices are not heard. That is why I stand with him. Tommy is a hero. It is a disgrace that he is still in jail. I have been invited to a major protest demonstration in London next week, and I will be coming. Free Tommy now!"
Wilders will join prominent UK politicians, journalists and activists - and likely thousands of Brits at the June 9 event.
"Working on some very big names for next weekend’s #FreeTommy rally," announced political commentator and author, Raheem Kassam. "You are NOT GOING TO WANT TO MISS IT."
The London demonstration will serve as the epicenter of a burgeoning movement in support of Robinson and all his plight symbolizes in the battle for free speech across the West.
Parallel rallies have been taking place in cities around Europe, the US, and Australia, and are expected to continue.
"#FreeTommy last weekend, this weekend and next weekend with Geert Wilders in London 9th June," tweeted MEP Janice Atkinson. "Oh, with a little help from cities around the world."

Tommy Robinson supporters gathering in London to protest Robinson's jailing clashed with police at a Whitehall demonstration amid calls to free the English Defence League founder.

Robinson was arrested on May 25 outside Leeds Crown Court for reporting on a pedophile grooming trial. After a brief court proceeding in which he did not have access to his lawyer, he was handed a 13-month prison sentence for violating the terms of a suspended sentence on a similar offense.
Over 600,000 people have signed a petition urging Theresa May to step in and free Robinson.
A squad of riot police blocking the gate down the mall leading to Buckingham Palace got into a scuffle with protesters, who appeared to throw bottles, traffic cones and metal barriers at the officers.

Five arrests were made, while five officers were reportedly injured in the clashes during the otherwise peaceful protest.

It was not part of their blood,
It came to them very late,
With long arrears to make good,
When the Saxon began to hate.

    They were not easily moved,
They were icy -- willing to wait
Till every count should be proved,
Ere the Saxon began to hate.

Their voices were even and low.
Their eyes were level and straight.
There was neither sign nor show
When the Saxon began to hate.

It was not preached to the crowd.
It was not taught by the state.
    No man spoke it aloud
When the Saxon began to hate.

    It was not suddently bred.
    It will not swiftly abate.
    Through the chilled years ahead,
When Time shall count from the date
That the Saxon began to hate.

Fears for the safety of Tommy Robinson are mounting after it was revealed that he has been moved to a heavily Muslim-populated prison in the United Kingdom and has already been on the receiving end of death threats.
Robinson was jailed last month for a “breach of the peace” while live streaming a trial involving Muslim rape gang outside Leeds Crown Court.
He was initially held in a low security prison with a low Muslim population.
However, today it was revealed by Robinson’s manager Caolan Robertson that the activist has now been moved to another prison that has a large Muslim prison population.
