  1. #31
This just reinforces the insinuation that the government has control over freedom.

    TDS on display.
This may not be perfection but it is a step in the right direction and it reinforces NOTHING, the precedent that government could control religious expression was already set and this weakens it.

If the shoe fits it's not an insult..

Trump does something good and you agree with a nonsense criticism of it.

But you have to find some way to portray any good thing Trump does as bad.

This thread is turning into a great TDS detector.
Quoting scripture on how Jesus says to pray, has nothing to do in a thread about a religious freedom push by evangelicals? Sure, gotcha

We shouldn't get bogged down on the school part, here is the thing that should stand out

" It warned state governments not to discriminate against religious organizations and affirmed that the granting of federal funds by Executive Branch agencies likewise will not discriminate against them."

Which religious group is going to get some federal funds that they were previously not qualified to get? Which lobby was pushing for this?

The religious expression of a teacher or other school official who uses it to proselytize in class or in school activities should be controlled.
We have long had death and taxes as the two standards of inevitability. But there are those who believe that death is the preferable of the two. "At least," as one man said, "there's one advantage about death; it doesn't get worse every time Congress meets."

So you want government to discriminate against religions?

Either nobody should be getting the money or everyone should. (nobody would be better)

That's not what happens, the left tries to keep anyone from expressing their religion at all. (unless they are trying to promote some non-Christian religion like Islam, then they are allowed to promote their religion)
