I think they're relieved. The longer this impeachment goes on the more they are called into scrutiny rather than the president. Adam Schiff is probably wishing he hadn't been born. He probably feels like a cockroach floating on a stick in the middle of the ocean trying to hide from the sunlight.

You have to have a conscience to feel that way, Schiff has none.

Ronnie Reagan or someone around him, had hoped Iran-Contra would not trigger newspaper headlines.
Bill Clinton's business dealings are like chickenfeed. Schumer is not total hyperbole. Nixon had tried
NOT to be connected to a third rate intrusion into a tidy hotel suite. YES. the Pentagon Papers hit in 71.
however, the ineptitude concerning our ongoing wars in the Mid-East since 911 is really hugely bigly.

There's still hope for Pence, some here say.

Well if Pence takes over now he can technically serve up to 9 more years, since half terms don't count for succession of a vice-president to the presidency. So that puts Rand running in 2028, and if what has been said is true about democrat media helping Trump win by attacking him, you can only imagine the help they'll give to a true yes-man like Pence.

My question in that case, is who is going to go make sure Anti-Federalist is dressed and has clean diapers, and give him a ride from the nursing home to the ballot box so he can get another chance to vote for a worthwhile candidate again in 2028. I'd suggest a mail in ballot but those definitely don't count unless you vote democrat.

Democrats never wanted it to go far enough for witnesses, they know they had a sht case and took the charade as far as they could. The GOP's ability to call Schiff, CIArmella, Hunter and Joe Biden is deadly for the democrats. But its even more important to not set precedent for impeachment trials like this so they had no choice but to shut it down.

What does Romney stand to gain by voting for witnesses when he knew he was going to lose. Who is this guy trying to impress. It makes a lot of sense for Collins since shes from new england but Romney represents Utah.
