Loaded gun pulled from woman’s body cavity during drug bust

    http://www.wacotrib.com/news/police/...fc8bf72d1.html

Waco police pulled a loaded handgun from a woman’s vagina late Monday evening after a traffic stop led to a drug bust, officials said.
Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said officers stopped a 1998 Toyota Land Rover carrying a man and a woman at North 15th Street and Blair Street about 11 p.m. for a traffic violation.
During the stop, officers found 2.7 grams of methamphetamine under the driver’s seat and arrested the driver, identified as Gabriel Garcia, 30, on a charge of possession of methamphetamine in a drug-free zone. Police say the stop was within 1,000 feet of West Elementary School.
Another 29.5 grams of methamphetamine and a set of digital weighing scales were in the female passenger’s purse, Swanton said.
Ashley Cecilia Castaneda, 31, was arrested on the same charge, but while being transported to the McLennan County Jail, she reportedly told an officer she had a Smith and Wesson .22-caliber semiautomatic handgun lodged inside her vagina.
Officers stopped and called for a female officer, who retrieved the gun. The handgun had a round chambered and a full magazine of bullets, Swanton said.
“It was a safety concern for the victim who had a loaded firearm inside her body,” Swanton said. “Depending on a number of factors, that gun could have gone off by body movements or compression of the trigger.
“People have asked us, ‘Why are you even telling us this?’ The reason is because we want people to know this truly does happen,” he continued. “That was an extremely dangerous situation for everyone involved.”
Castaneda was also charged with unlawfully carrying a weapon.
Castaneda and Garcia remained in the McLennan County Jail on Tuesday afternoon in lieu of $31,000 and $10,000 bonds, respectively.

It is. Either it's true, in which case this bitch doesn't want other women to have any privacy at all. Or someone made it up, in which case the powers that be want to be able to inspect all female crotches at will.

It's also bad news for people who buy second hand guns. And for whomever gets the notion to throw his banana in that barn door.

As a woman, I'm calling BS. She managed to insert it and they managed to remove it without any rounds being fired?

I bet it's more likely that she was told, "cooperate with us and you'll get a lighter sentence."

Or the cops are the ones who put it there to begin with.
There are no crimes against people.
There are only crimes against the state.
And the state will never, ever choose to hold accountable its agents, because a thing can not commit a crime against itself.

Hmm, no mention of an examination by a physician to ensure not even a fleck of paint was left behind? No treatment for inevitable bleeding or concerns of TSS?

Conclusion: police in Waco, tx are pushing a clear fiction because they want to sexually assault more women (and men) during roadside encounters.

Also, given now police shoot chihuahuas in the name of "officer safety" why should we believe that they would do the *extremely* unsafe task of removing a loaded weapon from a bodily orifice without the proper medical training?

I've inserted and removed a loaded pistol from there many times without any medical training.

Woman who hid gun in her vagina gets probation in drug case

WACO, Texas (AP) — A Texas woman who police said packed a loaded pistol in her vagina has been sentenced to probation after she pleaded guilty to drug possession.

Ashley Cecilia Castaneda has been sentenced to 10 years on deferred probation for methamphetamine possession. The 33-year-old Waco woman also was fined $2,500.

Waco police say that when Castaneda was arrested in 2015, she told officers on her way to McLennan County Jail that she was packing a loaded handgun in her birth canal. Police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said a jail matron performed a cavity search and found the gun, right where Castaneda said she had hid it.

Castaneda's attorney, Seth Sutton, denied the story as impossible, but Swanton said the police department stood by it.

JUNE 14--A woman who had a loaded handgun hidden in her vagina at the time of her arrest last year has been sentenced to two years in state prison on weapons and heroin possession charges, Illinois court records show.
Anika Witt, 27, was sentenced last month after pleading guilty to a pair of felony charges as part of a plea agreement that required her to testify against a codefendant.
Jailed since her arrest last September, Witt faced a maximum of ten years on the gun charge and 15 years for narcotics possession. While sentenced to two years in state prison, Witt has been credited for the eight months she spent in the McLean County lockup.
Witt and a male acquaintance were busted following a traffic stop on Interstate 55 just north of Bloomington. A search of the duo’s car turned up heroin and Ecstasy, cops reported.
Witt’s .380 caliber Kimber handgun was not discovered by investigators until she was subjected to a strip search while being booked into the county jail. A female corrections officer recovered the loaded weapon from Witt’s vagina. The gun had a bullet in the chamber and its magazine was fully loaded, police say.
The gun seized from Witt is seen in the above police evidence photo.
Witt, pictured below, was transferred late last month from the McLean County jail to the Logan Correctional Center, a state prison housing more than 1800 female inmates.
Illinois Department of Corrections records list Witt’s “projected discharge date” as September 7, 2019.

She looks like she could have fit a gun in there much larger than just a 380. I'm glad noone got hurt.

drug-free zone. Police say the stop was within 1,000 feet of West Elementary School.
This is serious concern to consider, these gun and drug free zones are virtually impossible to avoid, as there are public schools everywhere.

“Depending on a number of factors, that gun could have gone off by body movements or compression of the trigger.
What do these people think vaginas are constructed of?

“That was an extremely dangerous situation for everyone involved.”
A prisoner informing guards that she has a weapon hidden on during in-processing is extremely dangerous? No, extremely dangerous would be if she actually smuggled into the prisoner's area.
