    Who Are These Lockdown-Lovers? Please Help

    Occurring to me there are so many people I thought I knew and I didn't know them at all. Doesn't matter if from the anti-war left, which I have an affinity wth, or some conservatives. Matters not where you are on the political spectrum, some people just can't wait to hold their wrists out and be put in chains, for "safety." I guess.

    If you cite good news on the corona front, like a very high survival rate akin to flu, they will engage in any sort of mental contortions to prove you wrong, even though you are quoting CDC itself (99.8% survival rate, flu is 99.9.)

    Do some people just LIKE rules, to structure their lives? My guess is that if you never went anywhere much anyway, you are really not noticing lockdowns. Your life is much the same, may as well go with the flow.

    You never notice that you are not having much of a life, if you never had much of a life anyway.

    People help me. What is the psychology? Obviously this is a mass mindfuk and the perps knew exactly what they were doing.

    One of my theories is it a combination of over-prescription of psychotropic drugs (people who are due for their meds), basic dumbing down of US education, and autism caused by magnitudes increases in vaccines. The elites are getting exactly the kind of population it wants: stupid, unable to think critically, and easy to handle.

    Shoot if I were an elite I might do the same thing, if I didn't want anyone noticing that I had way too much that I did nothing for except bribe a few swamp creature politicians. Just throw them money, liquor, and women. Or children.

    Freedom is not popular.

    Most people hate it, and they hate you for wanting it and trying to protect it.

    Most people want three things, which have nothing to do with freedom.

    They want to be fed (in the macro sense, meaning daily necessities taken care of in all ways).

    They want to be entertained.

    They want to exercise petty power over their fellow man.

    That last is particularly vicious. They will tolerate any manner of tyranny and control, just so long as they think the next guy is getting shafted just a little bit harder than they are.

    Presidents, prime ministers, pooh-bahs, pashas, pharoahs, princes and potentates of all stripes have used knowledge of these three basic human desires to rule over empires that in some cases lasted for millennium.

    I have found that people with good unemployment, teachers and other government employees who get paid well to stay home, trust fund babies, and others who can afford not to leave home love the lockdown. They mostly stay glued to the fear porn on the news.

    Most of the people who have had to bust their butts for less pay, and come in contact with fellow workers to ensure there is food on the shelves for those who have been on vacation since April, know that this is all a bunch of crap!

    It's such a shame when I see people that I went to school with for most of my life, telling other people that lockdowns were a good thing and that wearing a mask is proven to work. They have truly become puppets of the system.

    Yep. Government employees who can work from home without any threat whatsoever to their job or income promote the lockdowns more than any other group. Add to that office and tech workers who can also work from home and you probably have the majority. And then you also have the welfare-SSI people who don't have to work either.

    Living in a big city, I'm surrounded by retards all day. When the cov-aids-19 lockdowns started, my fresh out of college coworkers were openly mocking people who protested the lockdowns because any self-respecting person would rather........ stay at home and get paid by the government? Educated people (and I'm one of them) tend to not get it. When they tell me that they'd rather be living their lives than working, what they really mean is they'd rather sit at home, smoke weed, and play video games. What happened to young adults? They are so sheltered and socially awkward nowadays, you can't even hold a conversation with them.

    The values that made this country great are gone. And they are not coming back any time soon. I'm not a man of great means, so leaving the country isn't an option for me right now, plus my parents are older and I have some obligation to take care of them.

    Sucks, but I always try to keep a positive attitude no matter what. If we get depressed and feel hopeless over the circumstances we find ourselves in, they win. At least we can keep our dignity.
