It really is kinda shocking. I heard from a handful of democrat (all women Hillary voters) that refused to vote for Menendez, they were sitting that out or voting for GOP for the first time in their lives. "He's a scumbag"
Pete Sessions lost in Texas, he has been an incumbent for quite a long time, didn't think he'd go down as easily but BETA did spend $80M on his campaign so its not that surprising with consideration.

There's a "chicken-and-egg" problem here — they may be more critical because their seats were already more vulnerable — but it's worth noting that running away from Trump did not seem to help much.
