1959: You Americans Are So Gullible; Was He Right?

The quote was from 1959, Ezra T. Benson repeated it in his 1966 speech.

Nikita Khrushchev, led the Soviet Union during the Cold War.

    Quote:

"You Americans are so gullible. No, you won't accept communism outright. But we'll keep feeding you small doses of socialism until you finally wake up and find you already have communism. We won't have to fight you; we'll so weaken your economy until you fall like overripe fruit into our hands."

So it is that Khrushchev has been proven right. We may not have had a socialist military coup that changed things overnight, but we have had a purposefully gradual attack on our belief in the essential nature of freedom. These "small doses of socialism" have changed America and been the cause for the loss of much of our freedom.

I still feel Beck is misguided but he is like a child learning the necessary lessons. I do like his source watch stuff though, when he's not advocating for one candidate over another.
Abolish the Privately Owned Federal Reserve Bank Corporation!
How many more times are we going to let them screw up our economy?

So what happened to the good old Soviet Union anyways? Still taking us over? Oops. They imploded and all their fruit has rotted already. They will not be picking ours.

Are we perfect? Never have been but neither has anybody else. Russia is still far worse off than we are. Ask people around the world which country they would most like to live in besides their own and the winner would still be the USA.

    New Lies for Old

An ex-KGB officer warns how communist deception threatens survival of the West.

Soviet defector Anatoliy Golitsyn's forecasts of future communist disinformation offensives are astonishingly accurate and had to be based not on clairvoyance, but on a solid understanding of communist objectives and methodology. The chapter entitled "The Final Phase" contains Golitsyn's forecasts. (1984, 412pp, pb)

    The Perestroika Deception

Anatoliy Golitsyn worked inside the system, inside the KGB.

He predicted what later has become reality - Russia clearly staged the collapse of communism in Eastern Europe, the KGB financed all so called dissidents that run the Eastern European governments, Golitsyn has analized the strategic communist plan in detail and yet our government is not listening and our so called media is not paying attention to this threat from Russia and China.

The method Khrushchev described was certainly correct. We are falling to our own breed of Fabian, incremental socialism. It was too little, too late to buddy up with the Soviets, though. Their empire is dead.

As for Golitsyn, if anyone has staged a smoke and mirrors show with communism it is China. They are practically more capitalist than we are these days. It's a new type of tyranny not seen before: a military dictatorship that carries around meaningless symbols of Mao and socialism. Their elites care only about staying in power and making some money, they could care less about Cultural Revolutions and Marxian claptrap these days.

    Ezra T. Benson's 1966 presentation has LBJ's earnest escallation in Viet-nam as a backdrop!
In the late 1950s when the Soviet Premier visited us... Viet-nam is for us a very hidden war!
