This doesn't make sense. These attackers were armed with knives, not "Tech 9s and shotguns". And yes there is very good reason to think that an armed police officer or even an armed citizen would have stopped the attackers before they did more harm. The news is filled weekly with incidents where police shoot assailants armed with weapons: guns or knives. Likewise armed citizens regularly thwart violent attacks.
In fact, as usual, it was armed individuals that eventually stopped the attackers this time. Had they been armed sooner, they would have been able to stop the attacks sooner. Gun free zones are mass killing zones. As the good Judge Napolitano has stated, "All these mass killings have the same ending: The killer stops only when he is killed. But that requires someone else with a gun to be there. Shouldn’t that be sooner rather than later?"
Here is a sampling of mass murder attempts that were all thwarted because at least one other person on scene did have firearm and used it to stop the shooter, thus preventing altogether or reducing the number of lives killed or injured:
- The Pearl High School shooting, Oct. 1, 1997, Luke Woodham fatally stabbed and bludgeoned his mother and went on to kill two students was stopped from further killing, by Joel Myrick who used a .45 pistol he kept in his truck
- The Parker Middle School dance shooting, April 24, 1998, Andrew Wurst showed up to his middle school dance with his .25-caliber pistol. He fired it, killing a teacher, wounding a second one, and injuring two students. It was ended when James Strand confronted Wurst with his personal shotgun. 3. The Appalachian School of Law shooting
- The Appalachian School of Law shooting, Jan. 16, 2002, A 43-year-old Nigerian former student named Peter Odighizuwa arrived on campus with a handgun. Law students Tracy Bridges and Mikael Gross ran to their cars after hearing gunshots and grabbed personally owned firearms and subdued the attempted mass murdered.
- The New Life Church shooting, Dec. 9, 2007, Jeanne Assam was at church when a 24-year-old gunman named Matthew Murray began firing at parishioners in the parking lot. Murray claimed two victims before Assam opened fire with her concealed weapon, hitting Murray, who then shot himself.
- The Trolley Square shooting, Feb. 12, 2007, Sulejman Talović killed five people and wounded four others in 2007 when he began firing in a public square in Salt Lake City, Utah. He carried a shotgun and a backpack of ammunition. He was cornered by Kenneth Hammond who was having dinner with his pregnant wife. Hammond held him in position with a handgun preventing further deaths until SWAT arrived.
- The Golden Market shooting, July 19, 2009, A man entered a Golden Market in Virginia in 2009 and began firing a gun. He shot and wounded the clerk and then began firing at patrons. was shot, wounded, and then subdued by a concealed permit holder who happened to be in the store.
- The New York Mills AT&T store shooting, May 27, 2010, Abraham Dickan decided to shoot up an AT&T store in New York Mills, New York. Dickan had a hit list of employees he planned to kill in his pocket Donald J. Moore heard Dickan’s gun go off, drew his own personal weapon, and killed Dickan on scene.
- The Clackamas Town Center shooting, Dec. 11, 2012, Two people were killed and a third was seriously wounded in Clackamas County, Oregon, when Jacob Roberts opened fire in a local shopping mall. Nick Meli, a shopper in the mall, drew a personally owned firearm on Roberts, who then retreated. Meli did not fire his weapon, for fear of striking bystanders.
- The San Antonio Theater shooting, Dec. 16, 2012, Gunfire broke out in a San Antonio movie theater. Moviegoers rushed to exits and ducked for cover as a lone gunman, Jesus Manuel Garcia, began shooting in a China Garden that spilled over into an attached movie complex. The gunman was eventually shot and struck by an off-duty police officer, Lisa Castellano.
- Logan Square, Chicago, April 2015, Gunman Everardo Custodio opened fire on a crowd of people in Logan Square. An Uber driver with a concealed carry permit shot 22-year-old and stopped his mass murder attempt.
- West Philadelphia, March 2015. Warren Edwards pulled a gun inside a barber shop and began firing. Children were present. A concealed carry holder entered the barber shop and shot Edwards in the chest, stopping Edwards.
- Plymouth, Pennsylvania, 2012. William Allabaugh became enraged after being ejected from the bar. He shot one dead and wounded another before approaching concealed carry holder Mark Ktytor, who was inside the bar returned fire preventing Allabaugh from taking any further victims.
- Spartanburg, South Carolina, 2012. Jesse Gates came to a church armed with a shotgun and kicked in a door. A concealed carry holder, Aaron Guyton, was able to get the drop on Gates, who was forced to surrender his gun to other parishioners.
- Winnemucca, Nevada, 2008. Ernesto Villagomez entered a bar filled with 300 people and shot two dead while injuring two others. A concealed carry holder, who was a patron at the bar that night, pulled his gun and shot Villagomez dead, stopping Villagomez from killing anybody else.
- Freewill Baptist Church, March 25, 2012. Jessie Gates pulled a shotgun from his vehicle and approached the doors of the church. A parishioner saw him and locked the doors. Gates kicked in the door and pointed the shotgun at Rev. Henry Guyton and several parishioners. Aaron Guyton drew his concealed handgun and aimed it Gates allowing two members of the church to take him to the ground.
- Mystic Strip Club, January 11, 2014. After being refused entry to the strip club for belligerent behavior Thomas Elliott Hjelmeland returned carrying a handgun and wearing a Halloween mask. As soon as he entered the club, Hjelmeland opened fire, striking bouncer Brian Rizzo, a patron, and a waitress. Jonathan Baer drew his concealed handgun and shot Hjelmeland, killing him.
- Austin, Texas Construction Site, April 30, 2014. An irate former employee came to a construction site and opened fire on his co-workers. The site’s foreman, a Concealed Handgun License holder, drew his firearm and opened fire. Both men were wounded but the foreman’s actions ended the attack and no one else was wounded.
- Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, July 25, 2014. A patient at a psychiatric clinic killed his case worker at point blank range and then turned his gun on his doctor, Lee Silverman, striking him several times. Before the gunman could leave the office and continue his rampage, Dr. Silverman drew his own concealed handgun and pumped three rounds into the gunman’s torso, mortally wounding him.

Here's a few clues for you Ms. May:
- Stop invading, bombing nations that are not invading bombing you
- Stop overthrowing other nation's governments and installing puppet regimes
- Stop sponsoring and arming radical (i.e. Wahhabi) groups
- Stop fostering and supporting coups in other countries
- Stop supporting an arming dictators (i.e. Saudis)
- Stop torture
- Stop committing terrorism yourself
- Stop drone assassinations
- Stop violating national sovereignty
- Stop creating millions of refugees.
- Lastly (although this one becomes moot if you follow the above 10 points), Stop admitting millions of refugees that cannot be vetted, from the places where you armed and funded violent extremists and fostered their violence

Home Office may not publish terrorist funding report amid claims it focuses on Saudi Arabia
An investigation into the foreign funding of extremist Islamist groups may never be published, the Home Office has admitted.
The inquiry commissioned by David Cameron, was launched as part of a deal with the Liberal Democrats in December 2015,
in exchange for the party supporting the extension of British airstrikes against Isis into Syria.
But although it was due to be published in the spring of 2016,
it has not been completed and may never be made public due to its "sensitive" contents.
It is thought to focus on Saudi Arabia, which the UK recently approved £3.5bn worth of arms export licences to.

You have to first look at the post I was replying to understand how my post makes sense. The poster was saying that all the police in London ran from 3 terrorists with knives because they did not have guns. My point is that the standard cop equipment is at least a truncheon which is a superior weapon to the knife. If you believe the poster I was replying to, that means that they ran even when the had superior fire power. I think the police would only run into a fire fight only when they are given far superior weapons to the criminals. I am talking about SWAT type weapons, vehicles and numbers, if not, they are usually going to be super careful
They are concerned more about their life than the life of the citizen.
Lastly, I get the idea of how a good guy with a gun can stop a mass shooting but if you think that the body count would have been lower if the so called terrorists had guns in an armed society, then you must be dreaming.
3 people with a death wish, wielding semi auto rifles, coordinating together with an element of surprise would most likely have a bigger body count even if there were a dozen good guys with a gun countering. Guns decrease the chances of a mass killing but it doesn't eliminate it especially when the other side is very coordinated.

In the following photo, the police are doing forensic research, probably on 4 June, where the white van drove into pedestrians. We can see the mandatory lost shoe, but it doesn’t look like the scene were all of this horror took place the night before.
The state media have really outdone themselves this time by creating some genuine heroes, with some truly amazing stories.

I’m not sure if it is the same, but a taxi driver named Chris told LBC he witnessed the attack and tried to ram the attacker:
I said to the guy in my cab I was going to try to hit him, I was going to ram him. I turned around and tried, but he sidestepped me.
Another hero of the evening is Geoff Ho, who coincidentally works for the state media as business editor at the Sunday Express.
Ho is an expert in Kung Fu and kickboxing and was stabbed in the throat after he tried to protect a bouncer on the door of the Southwark Tavern.
In a Facebook post, Ho wrote:
Sure... a business editor protecting a bouncer!Don't know whether it was stupid or noble to jump and break up the fight outside the Southwark Tavern, but two a*******s trying to do over the lone bouncer on the door isn't happening on my watch.
I’ve also seen a short video of Ho walking fast, clutching his neck (where he was reportedly stabbed), but to me he doesn’t look very injured (see the video still).
Another hero of the day is Gerard Vowls, who chased the “terrorists” while warning people to get out of their way.

So I was giving my patient some blood yesterday and you know you have to stay with them for the first 15 minutes to check to allergic reaction to the blood. Anyway, while I was in the room with her, she changed the TV channel to the Manchester benefit concert that was playing on the tele. I made a comment how it is awful that England is getting all these terrorist attacks and out of no where she said she wasn't if that the London Bridge attack was a real one.
Then I acted all surprised and said "what do you mean?" she then said it "could be staged and it could not have really happened" and again, i acted all surprised like I wasn't quite sure what she was saying. She then pulled back a little and said something like "we can never really know what is going on....." I swear to you, I got he biggest goosebumps on my body after hearing what she said. It is too bad that she is more awake than half of the people on this site who would readily without any skepticism what the govt tells us.

Redouane was unknown to the Police while the third man is not a #UK citizen. #LondonBridge
Khuram Shazad Butt, 27, was a #British citizen who was born in Pakistan.
Rachid Redouane, 30 had claimed to be Moroccan and Libyan.

The vigil, led by London mayor Sadiq Khan, saw a procession of Muslims given the opportunity to first, and separately, lay flowers at the scene.
While the group of men first laid flowers, other Britons and attendees were held behind barriers.
On 5 June, the Metropolitan Police identified 2 of the attackers as Khuram Shazad Butt (born 20 April 1990), a British citizen born in Pakistan, and Rachid Redouane (born 31 July 1986), who claimed to be either Moroccan or Libyan.
Both are from Barking, east London.
The third attacker has been named as Youssef Zaghba, who wasn’t British (and I haven’t got much on him).
Reports on Monday suggested the three men had done a "dry run" in the minutes before they targeted pedestrians on London Bridge.
The 27-year-old Khuram Butt is said to be the “ringleader” of London Bridge terror attack.
Butt’s family came from Pakistan, but he grew up in Britain. He worked on the London transport system and had a wife and two children.
He was photographed on the ground with canisters strapped to his body after being shot down by the cops.
In 2016, Butt appeared in the Channel4 documentary “The Jihadis Next Door”, which showed him arguing with police and posing with the black flag of ISIS.
In “The Jihadis Next Door”, Butt appeared alongside Mohammad Shamsuddin, the de facto leader of the remnants of al-Muhajiroun; a banned extremist group.
If this won’t convince you that he was used for propaganda purposes by the British government, I don’t know what will.
Butt was known for his extreme views, was barred from two local mosques, and had twice been reported to anti-terror police by “friends and neighbours”. Neighbour Erica Gasparri said she had contacted police after Butt tried to “brainwash” her children and convert them to Islam.
The day after the murder of Lee Rigby in May 2013, Butt “verbally assaulted” an anti-terrorism campaigner at a rally in parliament led by the notorious hate preacher Anjem Choudary.
Butt was known to the police and MI5, but there was no intelligence that this attack was being planned.
The other named man, the 30-year-old Moroccan-Libyan Rachid Redouane (aka Rachid Elkhdar), was not known to the police. His reported profession is pastry chef.
Redouane lived in a tower block not far from Butt.

The Romanian baker hero Florin Morariu, who was on a night-shift at Bread Ahead bakery, risked his life to save others as he took on one of the terrorists.
Morariu saw 2 terrorists stabbing others. At first, he froze and didn't know what to do. However, within seconds he acted, he told Romanian radio station ProFM:
The hero then turned saviour by guiding some 20 people to safety in his bakery.So I took a crate and threw it at the attacker and then ran towards him and used the other crate to hit him on the head.

[Then] There was a car with a loudspeaker saying 'go, go' and they (police) threw a grenade.... and then I ran.
After all of this bravery, he even had energy left to make a video of people running on the streets, none of them look injured, and posted it on Facebook…

Millwall soccer fan Roy Larner, 47, has been heralded as “the Lion of London Bridge”.
Larner launched himself at the trio that ran in to the Black & Blue bar in Borough Market shouting, “This is for Allah” and “Islam, Islam, Islam'.
Larner left with horrific injuries after being stabbed 8 times, and is recovering in intensive care from surgery. Larner has two 10-inch scars on the side of his face and neck and his lung collapsed. He has lost his glasses and his hands are bandaged up past his elbows.

An Italian official confirmed to the #UK Guardian that Italian authorities alerted their British counterparts when Zaghba moved to London.
"According to reports in the Italian newspaper Corriere della Serra, Zaghba had recently been working in a restaurant in London.
He was reported to have been on Italy’s list of persons at risk."

I really don't know what to make of you, I tend to believe in false flags, conspiracy theories etc but you seem to be overdoing it. I look at that picture and it does look like a 3 day old suture. I don't see anything fish about the wound itself expect for the fact that usually normal people give up their arms before getting cut in their faces (not behind the head). I have a friend whose BIL was stabbed in the back when it happened. Seeing that he was there on the bridge while you and Firestarter are just on the internet makes me tend to believe him
But nothing we say will convince ya'll that it isn't fabricated on some level. In fact, me posting that I know firsthand of someone who was injured in the attack will almost certainly bring accusations of being in on the conspiracy.

Yea, I would admit that on some level that what I am saying is speculation. You BIL story tell me nothing cos if it was faked, they would most likely have to use someone's BIL or cousin or sister or whatever to pull it off. The fact that your BIl was involved really doesn't tell me anything.
I will tell you something, I have a very close friend who I met when I came to this country, I know all his family, he knows all my family and we confide in each other all our secrets, he is Russian speaking guy from Uzebekistan and few years back, he was doing contract work from some intel agency doing interpretation for them. We talked about everything but his work and he has quit this job for 2 years now and he still would never tell me what he did there. In fact, I bet he would lie to me if that was part of his job, that is how serious he took this job.
I am completely aware that I am sounding like a nutcase but if this was a staged event your BIL story is not going to convince me either way. It is exactly what I would expect from such an event.
