    Steven Avery case

Anyone seen Making a Murderer on Netflix? Wow, they really went to town on this guy in Wisconsin. The cops planted evidence, the defense were clueless and they locked him up for life. The courts, the media everyone were convinced by prosecutors that he was a cold blooded murder. Extraordinary stuff.

I wonder how many wrongful convictions there are. One of the episodes in the documentary tells how hard it is to overturn a wrongful conviction in Fed courts due to Clinton signing an anti-terror bill in 96 designed to give the OK bomber the death sentence, it restricted the ability to have a Habeas corpus writ.

So basically if you get caught in the system you really are f*cked.

It really is a nightmare scenario if the cops want to 'get' you, they can and by god they will.

    From April 2017:

Massachusetts Just Dismissed More Than 21,000 Drug Cases Connected To Massive Lab Scandal

It is believed to be the largest single dismissal of wrongful convictions in US history.

The dismissal of more than 21,000 cases is not the end of the state’s drug lab saga. There are 320 cases that will not be dismissed, but defendants will have the option to challenge their convictions individually. The work of another former lab chemist, Sonya Farak, is also being challenged. In that case, the ACLU is seeking the dismissal of an additional 18,000 cases.

“In that case, similarly, we’re calling for the same remedy. The prosecutors have so far not agreed,” Rose told BuzzFeed News on Thursday. “We’re calling for a dismissal of those cases rather than waste the scarce public resources.”

WOW. and course this kind of 'scientific' evidence is used by prosecutor is presented to the jury as a slam dunk and before you know it the defendant is locked up for life, especially with a clueless public defense.

The whole system is corrupt. Prosecutors/DA's, cops, public attorney's and judges. At least POTUS gets a fair trial in the Senate.

The judges are so biased to prosecutors it's unreal. In Avery's case judge would not accept testimony from a defense witness (the coroner) and told her to leave.

Has anyone got an experience of corrupt judges ?

Are judges supposed to be impartial?
