Hey multi-millionaire Paul supporters, where are you?

I am not going to name names, but there are a few in particular that come to mind. How can these guys sit by and not donate a few million to RevPac? It goes against everything they've said over the past decade. The guys I'm thinking of believe that our country is going down the tubes and can only be saved by a guy like Paul. These guys are not just fond of Paul: they claim to be ardent supporters. If this is the case, why are they not donating a million or two to RevPac so that we can flood the airwaves with the Compassion Ad and others? The future of the country is at stake; this is a once in lifetime opportunity to change things; a few million bucks is literally chump change to these guys (I know for a fact that the net worth of one is close to $100 million, and another's net worth is far beyond that).

Put your money where your economic-forecasting mouths are. Us poor and middle-class grassroots are literally struggling to make ends meet, but manage to scrape together funds for Paul. You 1%ers won't be affected at all if you donate a million or two to RevPac. Please come to the aid of this country.

    Thanks.

Its real easy to tell someone else to give away millions of their dollars.

Considering that it would be a smaller percentage of their yearly income than $2,500 is to some of the donors on this forum, it is.

To answer the question of the original post, if they're millionaires, they're probably working.

Ya know what, im sure some of the much wealthier supports see what happens with the media and such. Its still a loaded deck against Ron. If he starts winning some states or gets close to the nomination you may see them jump in. But honestly right now, they are probable donating the max they can plus a bit to the PAC. Perhaps doing their own thing with ads in paper or radio.

I don't know if you saw the entrance polling and really studied it....Ron Paul supporters made up the largest percentage of 30K and less in income and Romney made up the largest percentage 100K and more. Strangely Romney and Paul tied for the largest percentages of college educated people. Anyway, I'd say that since we have the lowest income supporters, it's going to be harder for us to have big donations to the superpacs.

Part of it is the age gap: We have a lot of recent college graduates, whereas Romney has a lot of boomers with experience and seniority in their careers. In addition, Ron Paul appeals to wide range of demographics, whereas Romney's support comes mostly from the middle to upper class (including those who benefit heavily from corporate welfare), with what I presume is an emphasis on the upper middle class. Our college graduates might even make as much money as Romney's college graduates, but he holds little appeal for people in or around poverty, whereas Ron Paul's appeal defies the boundaries of socioeconomic stratification.

Individuals with capital in the range of millions of dollars that I have met listen to and love Ron Paul. But they are also systemically tied to much of the existing financial constructs. They may also have progressive or socialistic viewpoints. These people have real life experiences depending on their upbringing and method of wealth acquisition. They also have an effect on the lives of others at a range little understood by (lol) 99% of most people. And believe it -- they really do care about others. Just because they are well to do doesn't mean they are not worried about the right to life issue, the wars, how regulations effect their markets, how poor children are going to eat tomorrow, disease, drugs, and the environment.

It's our job to carry the message to them in a manner that makes sense. And believe me, not having to fret over moral hazard is a huge opportunity for all investors. Small, large, and ultra-wealthy.

Interestingly, aside from work ethic and the occasional quirk, most wealthy people are just regular people. Money influences them in it's own way. But to outright support a heterodox candidate is a serious decision for them even if they sympathize. They're donations and actions will have an effect on their little empires. Whole Foods was protested for supporting health freedom. Overstock was protested for supporting free markets.

There are very wealthy people that support Paul. They will do so discreetly until they can come out in the open. That will be soon enough. We are already seeing celebrities taking stands. There is a landslide potential here and it's a good one.

So relax, and lobby your favorite business owners as best you can.

If we start winning I'd put real money on a Richard Branson endorsement, with qualifications of course.

I am one of those multi-millionaire Paul supporters...

What am I waiting for? The multi-millionaire part...

There are people in the entertainment class who love RP. They ought to donate amounts to RevPac asap.

Overstock.com CEO should throw us some bones.

I am not going to tell someone else what they should do. It is up to their own conscience.

Someone should seriously message Andy Beal. Although he donated $5000 already, this guy loves online poker, freedom and is from Texas. He has a net worth of 7 billion--more than Donald Trump and similar to Rupert Murdoch.

What about that one guy who posted a full page Ron Paul ad on USA Today last election?

He's still posting here and has already done more than we could have asked for.

I shop there. That's a start. But here's another idea -- how about someone should organize real live human petitions and lobby our apparent sympathizers.

It's a long shot but I always wondered what would happen if a few hundred supporters spontaneously met outside a specific media personalities broadcast office with a formal petition to address specific facts. As opposed to skirting through them with sound bites and superficial talking points.

100 rich supporters each give the PAC $100,000 = $10 million!

    So doable IMO.
If Rand does not win the Republican nomination, he should buck the controlled two party system and run as an Independent for President in 2016 and give Americans a real option to vote for.

We are all born libertarians then something goes really wrong. Despite this truth, most people are still libertarians yet not know it.

After the surge in records sales, I kinda felt like Kelly Clarkson should give some of it back to the Campaign.....

Ah, I didn't know that (just recently started visiting the site again after joining last election as you can see).

I wasn't calling him out or anything, just seeing if he still supported the champion of the Constitution.

Agreed. And thinking of Llepard is why I made this post. How is it that somebody of his rank can do so much, when there are just as ardent vocal supporters of Paul out there who are WAAAAAAYYYY richer than him, but not doing nearly as much? The guys I'm thinking of have net worths over $100 million. I just can't understand why RevPac struggles to get 100K when some prominent figures in the liberty/freedom/ movement are so wealthy.

Proudly in favor of firing Jesse Benton since 2007. Here's a 2008 classic post.

They may be fans of RP, but not obsessed to the point where they feel it is necessary to do more than donate the $2,500. Not everyone thinks this election comes down to Ron Paul or the end of the world.

Or they may have a large net worth, but much of the money is tied up in business or investments or property that won't allow the to just start throwing millions around.

Or maybe they just don't like RevPac.

There are lots of reasons these folks may choose not to spend their money on the PAC.

"I hold a deeply held view of Ron Paul as an honorable, genuine and trustworthy American statesman. In fact, I cannot really think of anyone else in the tepid cesspool of American politics today whom I could even remotely categorize as a statesman as opposed to a run of the mill politician (or ideologue as Mr. Lucas puts it). Mr. Lucas moves on to explain that to an ideologue it is current ideas that matter, while to a statesman it is certain principles that matter. He states that an ideologue’s view of the world and its inhabitants is political, while to a statesman it is historical. These simple sentences are what I believe inherently separate Ron Paul at his very core from everyone else currently running for president. This is merely what separates the man’s character from the others. This is reason enough to consider him, but not reason enough to vote for him. His ideas about liberty, war and economics also separate him from the pack and it is his strongly held principles on these subjects that in my view make him the only one capable and with enough conviction to help heal this country’s wounds, get us back on the right and moral path and foster real change as opposed to a campaign slogan."
