I don't really care much but suspect Spencer is more of a sociopath with no real beliefs than anything else. He thrives off creating trouble.
I don't think Richard Spencer is an agent. He's been around for many, many years in the WN movement. He's just a fool who believes that he's part of some natural class of elites who will inevitably rule everyone else. This isn't my extrapolation, he's said this. This is a delusion. He's the most ineffective leader in any modern political movement and handed the left a tremendous victory in 2017 that they're still milking today.
If you actually listen to what he says, his support of Trump never made sense in the first place. He's a Yockeyan, who believes in Yockey's idea of a "white imperium" or other some such nonsense. He created a cargo cult in the alt-right movement who tried to exercise power they didn't have, that, ironically, believed in a deeply democratic conception of power that just isn't real. It's one thing to be an incompetent leader. And incompetent leader might improve or step aside. It's another to be an incompetent leader who thinks he's great. That's a whole other level of $#@!.
