I think your concerns are valid and bear close watching.
That said, these guys were able to win the Sandmann cases, and that's a pretty incredible legal feat.
Seeing as how the NRA does not want to step up and offer some of it's high powered legal guns for Rittenhouse's defense, I guess he needs to take what he can get at this point.
I'm sure there are hundreds of good gun defense attorneys standing by to jump on the case as well.
If it wasn't for the miserable censoring sluts in Big Tech, we wouldn't have to go strictly through FightBack Foundation.
FWIW I have no problem contributing to the effort in this manner.
But I will be watching this case closely as it progresses, for any monkey business.

22-Year-Old Who Had His Arm Partially Blown Off After Pointing a Gun at 17-Year-Old Kyle Rittenhouse’s Head Cries Victim to CNN

Gaige Grosskreutz, the 22-year-old Kenosha rioter who had his arm partially blown off by Kyle Rittenhouse after he aggressively rushed at the 17-year-old and pointed a pistol at the child’s head, cried victim on CNN.
Grosskreutz had a gun in his hand when he ran up to Rittenhouse, so in self defense, the 17-year-old discharged his weapon, blew off part of Grosskreutz’s arm, saving his own life.
Doctors performed surgery and saved Gaige Grosskreutz’s right arm.
A friend of Gaige’s said that his only regret was not being able to kill 17-year-old Rittenhouse.
“So the kid shot gaige as he drew his weapon and gaige retreated with his gun in hand. I just talked to Gaige Grosskreutz too his only regret was not killing the kid and hesitating to pull the gun before emptying the entire mag into him. Coward,” a friend of Grosskreutz wrote in a chat.
Leave it to CNN to make Grosskreutz out to be the victim by calling him the “sole survivor.”
“I was shot point blank with a .223 round from the shooter,” Grosskreutz said. “And I am now missing 90% of my bicep. This has not been easy emotionally, physically. I’m in constant pain, like excruciating pain that just doesn’t go away — both in my arm, in my heart.”
Grosskreutz told CNN that he is not a felon and that he has a license to carry his firearm.
“I’m not a felon,” he said. “I have my concealed carry, I’ve had it for years. That was my gun. My firearm. I had a legal right to possess it and to possess it concealed.”
“None of it is true, of what people have been saying as far as their assumptions toward me, at least,” he said. “I’m not an Antifa terrorist organizer. I am a 22-year-old male. I go to school. And yeah, I exercise my First Amendment right to peacefully protest.”
Grosskreutz argued that he never even used his gun that night.
Because chasing down a minor and pointing a gun at a child’s head is so peaceful.
“I’m going through a tough day but like I said, I’m a strong person,” Grosskreutz told CNN crying. “But everybody’s hurting from this in one way or another. I walked away with my life that night but two people didn’t.”
Here is close up video of Rittenhouse shooting Grosskreutz in the arm — notice Grosskreutz is carrying a hand gun.
Rittenhouse was about to get a bullet to the head, but he acted quickly and shot Grosskreutz in self defense.

Kyle Rittenhouse attorney resigns from defense fund due to legal issues

John Pierce, who is representing the 17-year-old charged with killing protesters in Wisconsin, is accused of not paying millions of dollars in obligations
The attorney representing Kyle Rittenhouse, the 17-year-old charged with killing protesters in Kenosha, Wisconsin, is stepping down from a defense fund he helped establish to raise money for Rittenhouse’s defense.
John Pierce, who co-founded the #FightBack Foundation fund, is removing himself from the group after concerns about his troubled financial past surfaced, USA Today reports.
So far, the defense fund has raised over $700,000 in donations, but Pierce and his firm, Pierce Bainbridge Beck Price & Hecht, have been involved in legal disputes in which he has been accused of defaulting on millions of dollars in firm obligations to financiers.
They include a $4 million payment to one funder and a $65 million obligation to another funder. Pierce acknowledged earlier in the year that he failed to fulfill the smaller repayment to Karish Kapital, which provided his firm with cash advances, the outlet reports.

That's a relief. One less thing to worry about. Kyle's defense needs as few clouds hanging over it as possible.
Speaking of which, does anyone know yet exactly who his defense team is? What are they doing w/r/t bail and extradition?
I'm sure there are experienced defense attorneys from across the country just itching to take a high-profile case like this.
But it would be best if they had connections in Illinois and Wisconsin. I haven't heard any news.

NRA Raised More Money in August 2020 Than in Any Month of 2016
https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2...ny-month-2016/
The National Rifle Association (NRA) raised more money in August 2020 than during any month of 2016.
Fox News reports that the NRA’s Political Victory Fund raised $1,725,700 million in August 2020 alone, which is roughly $300,000 more than it raised in August 2016.
Moreover, the $1,725,700 million raised in August 2020 is $240,000 higher than what was raised in March 2016, the best month of fundraising during 2016.
NEWS: NRA raised more in August than any month of 2016, as @JoeBiden–@realDonaldTrump showdown nears https://t.co/dtxwvJx6QK
— NRA (@NRA) September 18, 2020
NRA spokeswoman Amy Hunter spoke to the August 2020 financial boon, saying, “The NRA is grateful to our members and gun owners for a record-breaking August. Americans step up when their rights are in danger, and they’re stepping up now because they know the stakes of this election couldn’t be higher.”
Americans have been turning toward the Second Amendment in droves during the tumult and violence that has marked much of 2020. On September 2, 2020, Breitbart News reported that the first eight months of 2020 witnessed record-breaking levels of background checks for gun sales.
In other words, January 2020 set the record for the most background checks of any January, February 2020 for the most background checks for any February, March 2020 the most in any March, and so, all the way through August.

Kyle Rittenhouse, the Lake County teen charged with killing two in Kenosha, will fight extradition
https://www.chicagotribune.com/news/...e44-story.html
Dan Hinkel @ Chicago Tribune (25 September 2020)
Kyle Rittenhouse’s attorneys said Friday morning that they plan to fight his return to Wisconsin to face charges alleging he fatally shot two people and wounded a third during protests in Kenosha last month.
Defendants sometimes waive their right to fight extradition, but a lawyer for the 17-year-old from Antioch told Lake County Judge Paul Novak during an online hearing that they want further proceedings in Illinois to contest that process.
Rittenhouse has been held without bail in Lake County’s juvenile detention facility since his arrest a month ago. Kenosha County prosecutors have charged him with shooting three men with an AR-15-style rifle Aug. 25 during violent protests over white police Officer Rusten Sheskey’s shooting of 29-year-old Black man Jacob Blake a couple of days earlier.

Apparently, Pierce is still running Kyle's defense team, even though he has supposedly "recused" himself from the defense fund and has no experience as a criminal defense lawyer ...

Hmm. Rittenhouse must be a flight risk. Maybe he will jump a private jet to France and hide there? Or maybe he is a danger to others, you never know. Have to be very careful with dangerous criminals. They go out and murder people sometimes the minute you let them out. No bail for Kyle. Far too dangerous.
