Bernie has voted for more wars than Trump has started. (Trump hasn't started any)

And he is promoting a USSR communist, he used to use Che for an avatar and he has promoted communist countries and policies many times.

Rothbard is on the nothing scale in terms of influential.

I said this, and you are more than welcome to explain how Rothbard has any influence outside of libertarian circles because I don't think he does.

I actually like Stossel and I don't refute his ability to reach an audience outside of niche libertarian circles. So I don't know what you're arguing about. His audience waned after leaving Fox, a 100% fact and that has nothing to do with how better or worse he is, because thats a subjective your opinion. His audience shrunk after Fox, period.

But let's just stop pretending Lew Rockwell has any sway over any group of people outside of hardcore niche libertarian groups.
Ron Paul is not a self admitted anarcho-capitalist. I don't know where you get your information. And Stephen is a you tube personality that impresses the weak minded, for you to put him over Rothbard, and even Rockwell is laughable.

But hey, to each their own.

Now who is making things up?

I have always said Trump was the least of all possible goods.

And since when do we support the lesser of two evils?

Ah, OK. Yes, that is something upon which to maintain one's attention, but it doesn't concern me nearly as much as what he does. Always pay attention, but don't inflate the problem more than it merits.

Don't forget that Trump is not like other presidents of, say, the past 30 years. They have all been prepped-statement/teleprompter robots, especially nancy girl Obama who would put his own vagina in his mouth any time he opened the pie hole without the benefit of his master's pre-canned fare. Trump speaks off the cuff, which is something I respect a lot, especially in this idiotic cultural environment where every syllable is scrutinized and examined for its potential to be twisted into something that serves the Hidden Agenda.

Because of this mode of communication, I place FAR less concern about these reversals than I otherwise would. Trump may be a good guy, or not... for me, that is yet to be demonstrated, but I like that he speaks his mind, even if he does so in the coarse NYC style with which I grew up. His personal style doesn't bother me much; he does seem a bit of the narcissist, but he is also a highly competent manager. Compare that with the deep and dangerous pathology of Obama's narcissism. When coupled with FIC's (Fairy In Chief) utter lack of any worthwhile skill (teleprompter reading and blowjobs do not count), deep hatred for whites, and his seemingly endless ignorance of everything needed to be a proper president, and you end up with a truly dangerous combination of disease and personal shortcomings. Because Trump is otherwise capable, I am to date far less concerned with what some see as the foibles of his personal expressive style. He's not perfect and he may yet prove just another devil, but until that time I am willing to give him a fair shake. Considering the broader political circumstance and the shivering thought of what might have been, I consider that his presidency at least holds the potential of being a relative blessing. It may not be anarchy, but it solidly seems a damned sight better than the alternative, which would have had this economy on the brink of collapse by now.

We should count ourselves as having dodged a bullet, even if only by dint of some wildly unlikely outcome. Given where we were going, I'll take the gift of less horrible luck and I will do so with a smile and thanks.

Here's to four more with a long litany of trials for high crimes and misdemeanors, and long and miserable prison sentences on Gitmo with maybe even a few televised executions.

Yes, Bernie could end up being the lesser of the evils between him and Trump seeing as Trump is very evil himself. It all depends on the role their puppet masters give them. I wouldn't vote for Bernie, I did not vote for Obama even when I thought he was the lesser of the evils between him and Romney. And lastly, I do not believe Bernie is a communist, this time I am not doing sarcasm.

Is this really necessary? It seems you are attributing opinions, the evidence for which is not clear to me, and then calling him a fascist. What is the purpose here? Venting?

Come now, are you not better than this?

You accuse Trump of being a socialist, yet offer no support for the assertion. What if you're wrong on that point? Do you make the claim because Trump has not delivered to the nation that which you consider the ideal solutions? That is not a rhetorical question.

Consider that with which Trump must contend: hostile Democrats AND Republicans. Do you not recall how utterly opposed to Trump was the RNC, as well as a great plurality of (R) congresscritters?

Given the situation, were Trump to set forth a vision of America that was FAR closer to actual freedom, how far do you think he'd get? Nowhere, and possibly assassinated for real. Consider the razor-sharp edge on which he is treading. It seems a not-so-small miracle that is gets anything done, much less the substantive progress he has made along several fronts.

Let me ask you this: if perchance Trump were to manage to send significant numbers of true criminals like Obama et al into dank cells, would your opinion of the man get a significant boost? It would in my case.

I was here during the heydays of this site and dailypaul donating to moneybombs and other campaign fundraising. I was a long time member of Campaign4Liberty, I even attended Ron Paul meet ups here in Omaha. Sorry pal, but I am not an undercover communist.

As someone who only showed up to this site to support Trump, you have a lot of balls calling someone else an undercover communist.

Lots of Bernie Bros supported Ron, you barely maintain the cover these days.

And joined campaign for liberty, went to Ron Paul meet up groups, supported Rand Paul(before he became a Trump bot), supported Peter Schiff and Adam Kokesh etc etc? Sorry but that doesn't sound to me like a Bernie bro.

But lets focus on you a bit, why is it that you only discovered this site when Trump started running? I have a feeling that you are projecting your own activities on me. Lets face it, you don't care for Ron Paul or policies he prescribed which is why you became such a big super active Trump on this forum. A supporter of the man who mocked mocked and maligned candidate Ron Paul

I opposed Trump when I came here and only changed my mind when he exceeded my expectations, I have posted the early quotes proving it many times.

I only came here as late as I did because I didn't have regular access to the internet before and when I did go online I was at the DailyPaul.

I don't promote communist candidates, communist/socialist countries and communist/socialist policies like you do.

Perhaps my sarcasm was unclear. I was attempting to illustrate how absurd the name calling Swordy does is.

Regarding Trump, the wind bag is on record, even since he switched parties to run for president, supporting universal health care, gun control, more foreign wars to steal oil, and even said that free housing is a responsibility of the federal government.

And yeah, if he stopped being a socialist, that would be celebratory, but I'm not ready to jump on the fan fiction band wagon with so much evidence to the contrary.

Meh... he says lots of things that leave me wondering, which contributes to my inability to come to trust him. I still say leave him to a second term. It could be no worse than anything Biden, Sanders, Warren, or the Butt man would try to foist on us. Either way we would be faced with a very unpleasant decision, much as are the people of VA this very day, so I say give him a whirl. I will be the first to toss Trump under the bus if he makes a clear move against our rights. Yeah, I know about the bumpstock thing, but it was a policy change and we do not quite know what he may have purchased with it, so I'm not yet ready to condemn him. He has demonstrated an ability, a will, and a habit of playing a longer game than any of his predecessors, at least back to Reagan, so this could all be part of the game. Only time will tell.

Meanwhile, I choose to focus on the current mood of fed-upness because THAT is where the most opportunities lay. Placing our hopes in yet another personality is precisely how we have gone from the American political circumstance of 1789, to now. It is our most unfortunate proclivity to want to pimp OUR responsibilities onto the shoulders of others that got us here and it is only the repression of that worst of habits that presents even the slimmest hope of extrication from under the tyrant's boot-heel.

In a sense Trump may have been the worst thing because the recoveries stand to not only fill our pockets with token increases in our fortunes, but to put us right back to sleep under the false sense that all is well, in good hands, and that we can now relax... yet another indicator of the deep corruption with which most Americans choose over the status of free individuals.

And yeah, if he stopped being a socialist, that would be celebratory, but I'm not ready to jump on the fan fiction band wagon with so much evidence to the contrary.
I'm not on anyone's bandwagon, but I am willing to give credit due.

Until we become a warrior people in truth and not just in self-aggrandizing name, a very bad habit we have acquired, we will never be reasonably safe from tyrannical predation of our freedoms.

Part of becoming true warriors is first to become smart enough to tell virtuous conditions from rot, freedom from slavery, and to then become utterly and non-forgivingly intolerant of the intolerable, to the utter horror of all "lefties" and other pretty-slavery types. We need to drive Saul Alinsky and all of his ilk not just into their graves, but to spinning like out-of-control lathes in them. It is only until we reach a critical mass of vicious intolerance of tyranny, not just by our... ERM... "leaders", but our slave-neighbors as well, that we will be able to even begin to honestly and credibly abel ourselves as free men. Until then, we stand not very much better than the rest.

But as is the case with most humanity, we like to talk big and do small. A people, once corrupted, becomes nearly impossible to bring back from their fallen condition. The attraction of that which leads to our corruption seems nearly insurmountable. Asking people to turn their backs to it is like asking a fresh new heroin addict to "just say no".

    Cheers.

Its not just bump stocks, Trump also signs the executive order that would deny federal funding to any college institutions that do not regulate speech that criticizes Israel. That is not good. But look at it this way, like you say, Trump is no worse(and i'll add, no better) than the crop of dem candidates coming in. So why not kick him and try for someone better. We all know that the conservatives are always more energized and active when a dem is in office. So seeing as Trump is no good, we can kick him out and go for someone better in the next presidential election cycle.

We all know that the conservatives are always more energized and active when a dem is in office. So seeing as Trump is no good, we can kick him out and go for someone better in the next presidential election cycle.

You want us to trade someone who is less than perfect for someone who is 100% evil, that applies to all the Demoncrats.

If I wanted I could find plenty of posts from after I changed my mind about him where I point out his flaws and where I say he is the LEAST of all possible goods, (that's gOOds with two Os)

The Republican Party is a personality cult built around a barely literate reality TV character without an ideology or other higher-level thoughts but with generally leftist instincts; his election was an indictment of Western culture, ironically. The Democrat Party, when it was last in power, was a personality cult built around a modestly literate, albeit very badly educated, pseudo-intellectual doofus. When the latter was in power, the GOP continuously published propaganda about an impending coup, seeing Communist-Muslims (sic) around every corner. Since the former has been in power, the Democrat Party has done the same sort of thing, seeing Russian/NAZIs/etc around every corner. The loyal rank-and-file of both parties are highly irrational people, entirely divorced from reality.
