Fox news did not even launch until the end of 1996 and it was for cable subscribers owned by News Corp. . No way this would have played in 1998 . Nobody would have even mentioned fox news . So obviously fake without checking . It was not even available in NY markets or LA .

A few more historical facts . People often complain about fox news , often liberals . Liberals gave birth to fox news by using the other 3 networks at the time ( 80's ) as obvious liberal slant. Fox news would not exist if they covered things the way it is meant to be done .

The gross liberal slant to the media had been well established for a solid two decades before the mid 80's roiled around . Maybe longer . I mostly only read newspapers in the 60's & 70's and if you avoided certain papers it was not as obvious .
