Why is RNC not pushing a pro-gun rights platform this year?
The Dems are pushing an anti-gun platform but the Republicans can't at least counter it?

Trump was talking about taking them out of the hands of criminals. Democrats will have mandatory buy backs which is mandatory confiscation. If people want to sell their guns that's selling their guns if something is mandatory its just confiscating with extra steps. This is why the democrats are the real nazis. They are pushing for national socialism. With Trump there will be no mandatory confiscation. That's why the democrats must lose in order for America to win.

That's the democrats agenda. Trump isn't going to make Americans give up their second amendment. Trump's not going to take the guns from law abiding citizens or criminalize normal behavior to have an excuse to take away peoples guns. It's my understanding that RNC has no "official" platform this year, that it is just adopting Trump's second term agenda as it's platform.
Pretty sure they did the same thing in 1984 with Reagan.
I would guess that at tonight's RNC acceptance speech, Trump will reference gun rights and announce his strong support of the Second Amendment.

The GOP seems to be doing this weird thing where they run to the left of Biden, trying to attack him for the crime bill and touting half-cocked "justice reform." I still think Trump will win as it stands, but it's a lousy strategy. Every good thing Trump does is half of what's necessary.
